    I’ve got one, love it, had it for two years, bought another battery. That makes a lot of difference if you are doing a lot of trimming. One thing I will tell you. Certain things aren’t covered under the 3 or 5 year warranty, I just paid 47.00 for a new head. It was warranted for 90 days. But it was still worth it. They said it was considered a wearable part.

      EGO are excellent products. I have their push mower and a pole saw of theirs. Both the mower and the pole saw in my opinion dominate every other electric brand in those two fields. I have mowed some THICK WET GRASS with that self propelled model push mower and the motor revs up and never seems to box down unless you are purposely trying to make it bog down. Battery life is also excellent. The pole saw is incredibly strong. Cuts like my Farm boss gas stihl

    I just bought this the other day at Lowe’s it’s a beast!!!! it will most certainly take care of the business!!!!!! I charged the battery that my unit came with and used One of my ego 56 V snowblower batteries until the trimmer battery was fully charged,,, The snowblower battery fits it’s 56 V and extremely heavy you won’t want to swing that around all day it will wear you out however I managed to cut a lot of weeds with it while I was charging the other one this has a little quirkiness to it if you learn how to do everything and get used to it it’s cool,,,I would highly recommend it👍

    I have another weed wacker (Greenworks 80 Volt Battery) that just about drove me insane trying to restring it. Every 10 minutes or so I had to go back in the garage and do the nightmare again, again n again etc :(

    I have had this trimmer for two weeks. I maintain a 2 acre yard and a 4 acre yard. It's a heavy tool, buy the shoulder strap! It's not a light tool.
    When compared to a gas trimmer, it's crazy quiet.
    It does not clog up. I used it around my pond, 3 foot tall grass and cat tails. I did not have to stop and unwind dead grass.
    It's stupid powerful... Cat tails like butter.. The 0.95 string does not easily break apart. I've had to recharge the battery twice and I'm still on the string that the unit came with. Buy the shoulder strap.... This video doesn't do the power of this thing any justice. This will clear a field with no problem.

    I already had the blower, which I love. So, when my trusty 20+year old Weedeater finally wouldn't start this past weekend after sitting all Winter I knew what I had to do: Go get an EGO that I knew would be able to share the same battery and charger. The one I bought (at Lowe's) was $199.99, though there was another 15" trimmer at $249.99. But this one suited me just fine. It does have a high and low setting, but the trigger is a little different than yours. I'll probably buy another EGO product in the future, because they are built well, and perform well, and the batteries are interchangable.

    I bought one, its powerful enough to peel the paint off a barn! But the battery only lasts about 20 minutes. I took it back and the store swapped batteries for me, still I am only getting about 20 minutes life out of this second battery. Luckily they only take about 45min to charge. But I am disappointed, my black and decked 20v lasted almost twice as long. I would have bought another black and decker one if I could find the 2speed one again, I have been to several stores and they are not to be found.

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what your looking to do Elad. The Ego is smoother and lighter with a ton of power, but the Milwaukee will except different attachments and is and is great for multiple jobs with just one battery. That said, where Milwaukee is falling short is no Mower and a weaker blower. So what I would say is, if you are looking to get into a new platform that offers probably the best OPE out their and a mower, Ego is the way to go, but if you are just looking for an edger, pole saw and a few other attachments, Milwaukee is the way to go.

      @@ToolReviewZoneAs i know Ego has also a multi attachment model so maybe i should go to this direction , the question is if it has the same motor as the one you have tested, honestly I really like the Ego stuff in terms of design and power , i'm on the milwaukww platform for many years and all my workers are using milwaukee BUT since i'v watched you reviewing the ego blower a week ago i was directing myself to have an exuse to go into the ego platform ...

    Those mushrooms that you find on the lawn I'm not the same ones you buy in the store LOL that has to be the greatest feature out of all the weed wackers is that a wind itself and the price really isn't too bad compared to all the other brands👊👊

    What is your opinion of this compared to the Milwaukee? I picked up the M18 Quik Lok yesterday and my initial impression in practical use was that it was a bit heavy compared to the Echo SRM-225 it replaced and the response of the throttle took some getting accustomed to. I found it easier to just put it in low speed and keep it at full throttle. The biggest annoyance so far is how thick the combined throttle safety and trigger are - I admit my hands are on the small side. The Ego throttle and safety look like they would be more comfortable. I picked the Milwaukee over the Ego partly because the Milwaukee felt better balanced, albeit I didn't get to fully experience the Ego balance because Home Depot didn't have battery packs mounted on the Ego models (stupid). Without a battery and the motor of the Ego mounted at the end of the trimmer its impossible to assume how well it would feel in hand.

      Your right, the quik-lok is a bit heavsobI always use this, however... i love the other attachments like the edger on the quik-lok

    Great review! I'm like Lee... I have the blower AND the mower (i DID have to take the mower in for repair as it just would not START even after just 5 months of use! They ended up sending me a brand new mower without the battery, though!) and was thinking of getting the string trimmer in either the carbon shaft OR the cheaper model! I was trying to see just how the split shaft works when given seeing the edger and other attachments that MIGHT or MIGHT NOT work with the upper half! Keep up the great reviews! (And you are right about it being QUIET! I think that I heard some birds tweeting off in the distance while you were "slicing and dicing!" HONEST!!)
