I have the Ego multitool with the strimmer attachment without the powerload head and it spins anti clockwise. Which way do you consider "normal"? I thought clockwise was the normal way, my old black and decker strimmer was clockwise.. It took me awhile to adapt to to the Ego.

I can't say I noticed my Ego strimmer being any different than the previous Stihl I had. Apart from being quieter, smoother, less hastle, bettter starting and nothing to burn myself on.
But the main reason I went for it, was the auto loading of the line. Streets ahead in my opinion.

Thanks for watching Michael, sounds like you've got the perfect strimmer for your needs 😎

Battery power is slowly getting there Dave. So many benefits for the body. Can’t understand the head going the other way like you say people have used a strimmer going one way for many years it would take some adjusting too.

      Hey Scott,
      Thanks for watching,
Yes I've really enjoyed using the battery kit this Summer. How do you find your stihl kit?

@@TheLawnGuy can’t find an issue with it. Some don’t like Stihl but I’ve used it for a while now and it’s great. One product doesn’t suit all in this trade.

@@scottellwoodgardening287 That's good to hear, and that's also what I'm finding. My hope was to go with just one brand for all my battery equipment. But I'm thinking I might have to do a bit of mixing it up depending on my needs etc

@@TheLawnGuy it’s mowers that seem a long way off stihl. I wasn’t impressed with the Stihl pro battery mower at all.

@@scottellwoodgardening287 yeah that's been my experience too, I'm 50/50 on the ego mower it's so versatile, but the quality of cut really let's it down. As you'll see from next week's video lol
Although I'm wondering, because at the press day i used a mow with a double blade, and I don't remember the cut being too bad.

Looks like battery is the way forward but spinning the wrong way seems a fundamental design problem on this one :(

Thanks for watching Anthony, I believe there is one ego strimmer that doesn't have the powerload so spins the right way.

@@TheLawnGuy thanks … I am a bit of Honda anorak and wondering if you have any thoughts on their electric stuff? It seems a limited range and expensive to me and the strength of Honda was their petrol engines which is irrelevant now ?
