2:30 - 16 pole coil is also known as 7G coil.
7G is the model name of 16 pole coil. Just like - 3E2P, 3E, 3G, 3D, 3Q, 3K, 3L - these are the model names of 12 pole coil. 5I is the 14 pole coil. 7,3,5 - these stands for the pole numbers of the coil. Example:
7 = 16 pole
3 = 12 pole
5 = 14 pole
And all the E, 2P, G, D, I indicates the colour coding of the coils. Example:
E = Black Blue Red
2P = Black Maroon Red
G = White Blue Red
D = Maroon Blue Red
I = Yellow Blue Red
These informations (Are only applicable for Crompton) were given me by a service center guy. Also, somethings I invented by myself, which are correct theories.
