Great presentation. I agree with you on using Flexcut. That was what I started with and they worked great for me. Now I have other tools which I have purchased over the years and I have to admit they don't really work any better. The other thing I agree with is using pine. I love the way you can get crisp detail with it. You have really come a long way for someone who has only carved for a couple years. I've been doing it for over 10 and don't even come closet to the work you do. Thanks also for the great resources. Will have to check them out.

I love this video. You explain things for beginners without the least condescension. I also love Flexcut knives and chisels for sharpness and ease of sharpening. The tools they make are a pleasure to use. One thing I don't agree with you on the purple heart though. My first projects were carved from purple heart because I didn't know any better. These carvings came out pretty well. Thank you very much for the video and please keep making them.

Thank you Brian. A little tough following all the different topics you coveted but still a very informative session! One thing missing is notation of the multiple various.links etc. For me, very hard.of hearing, I end up not catching enough of the actual link descriptions enough to go find those sections that I would love to investigate further. I am hoping that being registered will track properly through TH-cam so that I don't miss any other sessions you record. Again, thank you for your mind dump or mind stream recording. Lots here to go back and re-listen to get better details on the various topics. Thank you!!!

Great video, enjoyed your presentation, keep it up!!! By the way, at 24:05 you mentioned a name of carver who uses a certain sharpener, can you please give me his email address? Thanking you in advance, and to give me any others that will help me in my carving, and how do you charge what amount for pieces for sale? Sorry used to sell many carvings, but Spinal Meningitis came and took many of my abilities, especially carvings!!! Stan Peters.
