I've been playing slide guitar for more than 50 years (played in several Allman Bros copy bands). Duane Allman was my model for how slide guitar should be played. Derek impressed me in later years, but nobody impresses me like the player in this band. He's got the fire and harp-inspired playing of Duane actually turned up a few notches.

Warren is great no doubt but this player captures Duane better than Warren, Derrick,..or Jack.
The guitarist playing the slide parts definetly has the Duane Allman tone with his SG axe. 👍
God! A tight band and that slide is as clean and sweet as it gets. The feel is amazing. GB continues to absolutely stun me. Fantastic performance by a very good band.

Fantastic, the whole band sounded great. Slide guitar was Duane level, Vocals were classic raspy and in perfect key, drumming, base, and keys were complimentary to lay the foundation and work the song. And as I'm finding out, Grace comes through with amazing tone with amazing soul and feel, classic blues and Grasesque licks, variety, and excellent execution to work the emotion. A very special ability, soon everyone else will also discover this.
So impressed by these guys, thanks for posting. Closest I'll get to seeing this band being from Australia. How good is that young lady !

She has a handful of licks and keeps repeating them even when the tempo is too fast for the licks...and her tone is horrible
@@conordyer2307 Thank you for not being a Grace Bowers Fan Boy. I completely agree. She is a one trick pony, that everyone is trying to elevate to some mystical star status. She has potential, but needs the guidance of a professional. She needs to woodshed, instead of showing up and playing at every event she can get on stage for.....Grace does a bunch of "noodling" probably stuff she found on you tube....

Great upload man. I love the blues but I'm getting to old to get out much. I think the Allman Bros were my favorite. I got to see Duane once before he died. Fillmore East was the greatest live record ever IMHO. ✌

Great band--smokin slide but I am not sure about the young lady who looked less than interested.
Very tight and punchy. NIce vocal. Leads could have been louder; but that's just me.
I am afraid that the slide-guy just stole the show, now Duane may rest in peace.

Yeah okay cool, bluesy. But here's the thing - don't you folks - including the musicians of course - want them to stretch out and explore more melodic and harmonic ideas than just freakin' blues!? I mean, FFS there's so much potential even if the backing players strip the backing to a vamp over a key centre - suddenly the whole WORLD of possibilities opens up. The modes lay there awaiting your exploration - so many styles, moods and atmospheres await to be conjured up.
Imagine if Grace were to suddenly drop off from the 12-bar for a few moments and then re-enter with a volume pedal, swelling huge octave chords as she runs through some dark Phyrgian-Dominant sounds? Anyone? Anyone?
Blues is the root of so much cool stuff, but on it's own I find it utterly dull.
