Thank you all for continuous support on this channel. Here's what I forgot to mention. 460 W *6 solar pannels so a total of 2760W 200 Ah *4batteries so a total of 800Ah. This capacity is enough to run everything except Cooker and shower.
I would advise you to get rid of the battery cover and instead use an open battery rack for optimal performance. They need ventilation and there is a risk of fire due to overheating.
@@loreignjoy9919 it’s not a dumb question joy and no question is ever stupid I was gonna ask the same question and there is a Swahili proverb that says kuuliza sio ujinga one of my fav proverbs In life
You really have a beautiful home lovely.I admire your choice to install solar power.they might be an investment in the beginning but really pays itself.I knew my mum could not afford electricity bill in the village and I did not want to be sending money for electricity so I installed her solar pannels. The best decision I made really, 10 years + now, no issues at all, not to mention not having to watch TV or use power at certain times to keep the light bills down.
Thanks so much dear. I have seen solar serve people well and this is the best decision. I am sure you are very happy too. You have electricity all the time. These days KPLC has increased the price of electricity and it could have been unbearable for you and mom.
Solar is really not a one time deal. Battery degradation happens, and those will need to be replaced. There's better battery tech nowadays, though, but it's still super expensive.
It's definitely not a one time thing but still a better option since you don't have to worry about the bills. Battery takes some years to change so it will still serve you well. Nowadays electricity rates are quite high too.
True but you don’t get random blackouts, no hiking of rates, safer than grid, you can get a connection Immediately. Also if you’re in a hot area, why not?
Good idea, when you upgrade your solar system go for lithium batteries. They will last over 50 years with zero maintenance and are currently the best chemistry and the battery standard in the industry.
Actually, Lithium batteries have an economic lifespan of 12 to 15 years. I would suggest you increase your capacity and switch to lithium when you replace them in 3 years if you want to be 100% solar reliant.
Solar is the way to go. Ive done this for my parents. Solar runs everything. KPLC wasnt worth the hustle and the constant increase in bills. For less sunny days. Get a silent generator, they cost 60/80k.. it will keep the batteries powered and you'll never meet kplc anywhere
