Outstanding adventure. Just keeps getting better Had to laugh when you mentioned about being followed by the rain. I certainly can relate Being disabled myself due to a hip replacement that went wrong I find your challenges very inspiring. I look forward to someday getting out on the trail myself. Thanks
Thank you! I'm sorry to hear about your condition and wish you all the best rehabilitating. Of course, listen to your doctors, but I'm a firm believer in exercise. I regained my mobility mostly on a stationary bike. I started with 5 minutes a day and gradually worked my way up to 10 miles a day over several years. That drastically improved my balance and core strength. Even with a bad hip, I would think strengthening other muscles would help take some of the load off that hip. But I'm not a doctor and would hate for you to worsen your condition following my advice. Good luck!
Jeremy, Thank you for sharing another incredible video of your journey. You are an inspiration to what one can do once they set their mind to it. I would also love it if you can share your video setup, equipment etc. and how you go about using them showcase your adventure in the car and on your hikes. Thank you again and can’t wait for the next episode.
Thank you! Down the road sometime, I hope to do a video showing some of the technical side of things, but for now I have a ton of footage already shot that I'm working with. Quick Explanation: For most of the season 2 videos I was using a Sony FDR-AX53 Handy Cam. That's why a lot of the hiking footage is so shaky. It took great shots standing still, but on the move, the image stabilization couldn't keep up. Other than that, I use a GoPro on the dashboard that can face me, or straight ahead on the road. I edit my videos in Adobe Premiere Pro. In season 3, I returned to just using GoPro cameras, but I'm currently looking for something that can zoom while shooting but also has great image stabilization. A short video showing the process is an interesting idea though, I'll keep it in mind for the future. Thanks again, and thanks for watching.
I watch your videos 2-3 times. I appreciate your still listening out for your back while you ignore it.
😉
