Thank you so much for another wonderful video. I love that you take the time to talk about things at length so it feels like a conversation, rather than being over-edited and choppy like so many other channels. Your approach is a breath of fresh air and certainly aligns with all things slow and simple!
Fiona Harrison I’m so glad you like that Fiona. Those choppy videos always make me feel really stressed out but I thought it was just me 🙈 also I always wonder what’s been chopped out 😂
I always feel self-conscious trying to make videos because I’m not super high-energy, but your vibes are super soothing and enjoyable. Might try again someday ☺️
I love how comfortable and at home you are in your clothes and i think that is because of your more personalised approach to the capsule wardrobe. When you dress for yourself and your own life it looks effortless and you look happy and stylish. Just subscribed!
Hi! I was glad to come upon your video and to be reassured that this process can take time but that you can come from shopaholic to a minimalist gradually. I’ve had my mental turn around; having too much is too much! And not only do you end up with too much clothing, purses, and shoes, but way too much debt! Starting the journey towards simpler living, praying for success, thankful for you and other you tubers’ guidance! I know it’s going to be a long haul, but you guys help to encourage me!
So glad you enjoyed it. It's definitely a process and takes time, but it's so worth it. Cheering you on every step of the way. No matter how much further along people seem, we're all in it together muddling through x
I feel the same way. I love new things and the fun of finding pieces etc. BUT, I can and will never be able to really wear and enjoy all the stuff I've "collected". I feel overwhelmed and guilty at how much time and money I spend on this area of my life when I do'n't really get a lot of use from so much of what I have. I think it will be a process but every day I don't buy 3 sweaters at Target just because I am there for laundry soap or some really pricey designer piece that I KNOW I don't have a lifestyle for is a step in the right direction. At least I hope so. Good luck to both of us. =)
ShellTay32 Yes! Everyday you don’t do the same things you used to do is progress! So good to get here and find you are not alone and that so many others struggle with the same things that you do! What a relief! And to get encouragement from those trying to do better, & be better is awesome! Everyday that I walk past my donate bag I put in my hallway and add something to it is a win! 🙏🏾 for use both!😉 I know we can do it!
I love that you talk about how other videos talk about the must have pieces but it’s not one size fits all. I feel like they all tell you that you need a blazer and heels but that’s just not me. Keep up the great content!
i can relate to everything you said at the start. i get into a cycle of ordering clothes because i think they’ll complete me and give me a style... sounds like i should try this approach
I've been trying to be more conscious of my purchases and decreasing my wardrobe. I find it difficult because I'm a visually creative person and use fashion as part of my creativity. Since starting to follow you and watch your videos (especially this one and your spring clear out one) I've actually cleaned out almost half of my wardrobe (going to family or donation) and feel lighter than I have in ages! I've also started replacing shoes that have come to the end of their life, and done my best to replace 3 or 4 pairs with 1 more long lasting (leather for me, since I refuse to wear plastic and have yet to find a long lasting vegan option that isn't plastic, but I'll take recs if anyone has them).
I am getting in love with minimalism and i feel it is the perfect time to change my life. I'm moving home and very excited to get a new fresh and simple start. Thanks for inspiring me 😊. Big hug from a ex (starting now) shopping addict from Brazil 🇧🇷
I do so agree with you about challenging the notion of staple ‘essentials’ in capsule wardrobes. I too have wasted space and money trying to fit someone else’s style into my own wardrobe. It is important to discover what your own style is and build on that. Yes, I too was a clothes shopping addict and became overwhelmed with the sheer number of clothes I owned. I discarded bags and bags but still have far too many. I have worked out my style but am having difficulty in determining my colour scheme - I still have too many choices to make it work. I am impressed and inspired by your capsule wardrobe and love your colour palette. I still have a lot of work to do on my own but I’m less than a year into it so I hope in 5 years time I will be where you are at 🤞
I have watched this video twice now. I love it! I have been paring down my clothes for a few years now but still find I buy things I don’t wear. (Usually this is because I feel like I am looking sloppy/frumpy and so I buy something a bit more fitted because it looks nice....but three hours later I am wanting out of the darn thing). I think I need more reflection time before going headlong into decluttering/buying. I struggle with keeping things for occasions that don’t get worn a lot but are still needed once in awhile. I keep trying to find something that covers everything (daily wear and special occasion) seems like finding the holy grail for me. Anyway, thanks again for your video. You are refreshing and beautiful to watch.
aw thanks Karen. So pleased you liked it. There are days when I still think I have too much too. I can't believe how little of our wardrobes we actually wear but maybe we're just not wired for endless choice as humans. Maybe we like our comfort zones and that's ok sometimes. Those occasion items are tough and you definitely need a few in your back pocket even if they only come out once a year or so. Cheering you on x
I'm so amazed by what you were able to accomplish in 5 years. Your wardrobe is so suitable and authentic; it's cute too. I've been minimizing my wardrobe for 3 years now and it's so difficult sometimes. My life has changed and I'm having a hard time letting go of a lot of the professional stuff I just don't wear anymore. You said you were dressing for someone else's life. I feel like I'm holding onto it just because it used to be my life. Anyway, I'm so interested in the process you took to get where you are now. A wardrobe under 50 is so luxurious to me. Out of curiosity I counted it up last month and I'm sticking around 150 (after some massive downsizing). It's incredible to me how much one can accumulate. I'm doing a low buy (actually just a budget). Fingers crossed. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks so much Buffy! I know exactly what you mean about hanging on. I've struggled to allow myself to change but honestly I've never regretted allowing that transition. The fact that we're always growing and changing is the most beautiful part of being human to me. I'm cheering you on x
Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey and I truly relate to everything you said! This video is so beautiful and relaxing to watch. Your blog post on your minimalist makeup collection was what initially inspired me to embrace minimalism and I can't look back. Weirdly, discovering minimalism also coincided with me actually caring about my style for the first time in my life and a desire to put effort into how I dressed. So, I often feel like I need to make up for lost time and curate a perfect wardrobe in a week, but it's reassuring to know it doesn't work that way. Thank you for addressing the pitfalls of minimalism, as well, and that there's no such thing as perfection. I love the idea of cultivating your own style that fits your personality AND your life. Owning a wardrobe that isn't formulaic and actually serves you is one of the points of embracing minimalism to begin with.
you're welcome. Thanks for watching. Make up was huge for me too. I can't believe how much I used to own when I was never even really into make up ha ha. No lost time to make up for, it'll all unfold for you as it's supposed to. I think we always have to do what's right for us.
Jessica this was such a beautiful video! Thank you thank you for starting a youtube channel! Your videos are so inspiring and I absolutely love your authenticity :) hope you have a lovely week!
Tips for starting a capsule wardrobe would be a great video. I'd also love to see your horse/workout capsule wardrobes. I do dog training and competing, so I actually have clothes for that specifically, but would love to pair it down as much as possible!
Please do a loungewear video! Your collection looks lovely! I am trying to build a "classier" loungewear collection and would love some inspo. Thanks :)
Hello Jessica. Just discovered you and I'm delighted that I have. You are so genuine and real, a breath of fresh air. I am a shopaholic in recovery so very interested in watching you and your content and reading your blogs as they are so relevant. Like you I am very lucky to live in the countryside in a period cottage so I love your home and decor. Looking forward to seeing the lounge wear video. Fiona x
TH-cam suggested your video to me and I am so happy for that! Love it, and the tones and quality of your wardrobe is amazing! Colors just like mine too. And I couldn't agree more when it comes to the "rule" of the capsule wardrobe. It was just like that for me too. I got all confused in everything that "I should have" instead of what I myself needed and that works for my lifestyle. Great advice, can't wait to watch more!
Beautiful and very lovely realistic view of the year round capsule. I’ve been struggling with trying to find peace with what I have and it’s very encouraging to hear your thoughts about where you once were and where you are today. Thank you
This is so perfect! I just found you as I'm trying to do more research to start on my own capsule wardrobe. All the other capsules don't really reflect my style whatsoever and I was having such a hard time trying to figure out how I was going to make this work for me. I was also trying to figure out how I could do a complete capsule wardrobe for one year without storing things away seasonally. I'm so glad I found you!!! Thank you so much!
Yesss this is the minimalist wardrobe tour I’ve been looking for. It’s so similar to mine in color and types of items and I don’t find much I can relate to out there!
I love that you maintain a year round wardrobe! I live in the extreme Southern US, which has mostly mild (sometimes hot) temperatures. Also, I am like you in that I am not a high heel person. Because of my age and bad feet I can only wear flat shoes. Also, I love your round toed shoes because I have bunions I cannot wear pointy toed shoes. I love your capsule wardrobe pieces as well. They seem ageless!
Love this! Your videos are so calming and refreshing, this is probably one of the only 'capsule wardrobe' video I've watched where I don't feel the need to rush out and buy everything 😂 thank you for highlighting that you don't need everything on the 'must have' capsule wardrobe lists. I worked out that I actually spend approx 40% of my time in PJ's or lounge wear, and 25% in my work uniform, so definitely don't need excessive amounts of day to day clothes 😂 I'm also doing #20in2020 to rein in my spending this year, and I'm aiming to only buy items that are from sustainable brands or second hand, so your blogs and videos help immensely! Keep doing what you're doing!
thank you! I know what you mean about those videos, they make me feel the same. So good that you know that. Awareness is KING for curating a wardrobe that fits your life.
i adore this... i had no idea you were once a shopping addict too... I just bought your capsule wardrobe ebook, as my capsule wardrobe needed a little overhaul... i found it so helpful, thank you... and this just accompanied it perfectly .. lou x
I love this! I bought your year round minimalist wardrobe ebook and even printed it out and it has helped me so much! Although once in a while I get bored and feel like I still have to take out a couple of things and add more versatile- better quality-timeless pieces to my wardrobe. I'm still working on it! But knowing that you have 5 years working on it makes me feel at ease 😅 thank you so much Jess!
that's amazing to hear! I'm so pleased it helped. It's always a work in progress, just take your time and keep going. Tag me in any photos you share so I can see. I love a snoop ha ha x
Oh my goodness, the video started me out thinking, “I NEED to get a black slip dress,”...thank you for later reminding me of the whole point of your journey. ❤️
How can he hate the beret!?!? You look adorable in it. Thank you for this video. I am starting out with capsule dressing with your ebook! It's so important that you resisted the urge to make yours look like everyone elses. I would love to see more videos on capsule dressing. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the emotional aspects of it building and living with an intentional wardrobe, especially as you said you were addicted to shopping at one point. I never would have guessed it.
RIGHT?! ha ha. I'm keeping the beret. So excited for your journey. Just shout if you need anything. I've got lots more ideas for capsule wardrobe videos but that's such a good idea for a video, thank you! It really is an emotional experience isn't it? I think anything to do with clothes is because they dress our bodies and that in turn is so emotional and personal for all of us.
Wow ~ I’ve just stumbled upon your channel and now I’m watching all your videos! Absolutely loved your home tour ~ your home is so beautiful and warm. Your wardrobe is dreamy. Good luck with your channel, I’m sure it will be a huge success xx
Oh, wow, your channel looks really new. Yes, I'd have loved the lounge clothes and ski wear to be shown, too, especially the lounge wear as that's something I can relate to. Please do include the talk if you'd like because I think that's great to learn from that stuff.
@@JessicaRoseWilliams Yay! Thanks for your reply and high five and good luck with your channel. I am also now beginning to set up mine as well... after some more editing (omG, so bad at that lool)). Thank you for taking my suggestion into consideration, I am looking forward to that.. :)
I can relate to your story on so many levels! I am finally starting my minimal-ish journey and it feels so good not have the desire for shopping anymore.
What ur wearing reminds me of the movie pride and prejudice, which is my very fave movie, love it and have seen it im guessing more than 60 times.... and ur voice and way u speak is so calm and sweet and fun, im obviously a new subbie of urs because of this nice soft video, and i like the barret too, xo marce!!
Becky O Cole I live in a cold climate and wear a lot of my dresses year round. A simple sleeveless dress can be worn as is in summer. In winter pop a cardigan over top. Depending on the silhouette you can sometimes wear a pullover and treat the dress as a skirt. Buy a slip, half or full depending on climate and temperature preference just as an added layer and to avoid static if the materials are synthetic. Tights can make a huge difference. In milder weather I’ll wear ballet flats. If it’s very cold I’ll wear leggings instead of tights. Then I can wear socks (though I’ll wear them over tights too sometimes) and I buy those knit legwarmers (grace and lace sell them, so does amazon) and wear them with boots. I love big blanket scarves. I can crochet so I have a variety of shawls and wraps in everything from silk lace to thick and chunky alpaca. I’m sorry she didn’t answer you, but hopefully this helps you out!
I live in Canada and have found that tights work the best. BUT I also try to buy dresses that will work with tights, since summer only lasts about 6 weeks where I am, so going bare leg isn't really an option very often. Also, find sweaters that go with your dresses. That's where the idea of buying in a colour scheme helps!
In winter I feel the cold really badly, but actually find a long dress with with thick leggings underneath, long socks and knee high boots are warmer than jeans. I'll wear a long sleeved thermal shirt under the dress if the sleeves and neckline cover it, then a cardigan or slim fitting jumper over that and a thick winter jacket or trench over that. That cna comfortably take me to close to zero celcius. If you focus on thin thermal material it doesn't add much bulk at all, and to be honest I just feel prettier that way.
Fantastic video! I am so inspired now to pare down my wardrobe. I think I may have some of the same issues you had in the past [of suppressing your feelings through shopping]. But lately, I can barely close the drawers in my bureau, and it's becoming a burden to have so many clothes. This is my first video, so forgive me if you've already done this, but I would love to see you "mix and match" all these pieces! P.S. Love the way you incorporate the sweet, romantic blush color into the neutrals.
I like how realistic you made it. For me it was a bit too long, but nice :) deserved the thumbs up, most people can't handle not tidying before shooting :D
Love your videos and can so relate to where you were 5 years ago... on that journey as well, even as a middle-aged woman. Fun fact: Your TH-cam channel is the 2nd one I’m following with a Cavalier in it (not for that reason though). I have a Cavalier too (love of my life 😍), sadly I am neither as beautiful nor as stylish. 😂
Love this! I am currently working on downsizing my closet and this is all very helpful! I love the idea of describing your wardrobe in three words - I think that's going to help me a lot. Side note - Do you mind sharing where you got your backpack!? I love it!
I’m so glad you finally have a TH-cam channel!!! Soooo excited for more videos!!! Something I’ve always been confused about with capsule wardrobes is that many people seem to own so few tops. Why is that? Even if you have a few dresses for each season, how do you do that?
oh I hadn't thought of that ha ha. Maybe I'm just not a tops person. I don't think there are any hard or fast rules. Nothing wrong with having two pairs of trousers and twenty tops for example if that's your thing. Everything in this wardrobe gets worn without me getting bored and that's the goal.
That folding method looks great, definitely going to try this! Love how you've been able to minimise it but it all looks so beautiful still - made me want to declutter mine properly!
watching you in this video gives me hope to start a solid wardrobe, i'm not into fast fashion but i just never new what i should wear to compliment my figure and complexion i'm on the short and plus size side. :)
I'm short too! Only 5'2. I think it's always worth figuring out your body shape and then researching which styles compliment. You don't have to implement them but awareness is always good.
I love your year round wardrobe. My struggle is that I like some vintage colors and am having a hard time making my wardrobe. All I see is neutrals I like those too but I need help learning how to mix them.
I was just smiling the entire time watching you in this beautiful inspiring video. God bless your heart beauty! Just subscribed and excited to binge watch ^_^!
I have an extreme amount of clothes... yes, I’m an addict... related to what you said ... can you do a video on your process?? How did you get rid of your clothes and narrowed it down?? How did you go from addict to minimalist?? Thanks !! Love your style... i dream of getting there and not taking over my sons closet!!
Really inspiring video! I have a lot in my wardrobe that no longer bring me joy as my style over the years has changed. This video has really motivated me to remove those items and find the right balance. Your everyday backpack is beautiful, where is it from? This would be an ideal uni bag as my current one is very worn and casual I’d love to go for something smarter! Thank you for such beautiful videos.
thank you! So pleased to hear that and I'm cheering you on. It's so easy to carry on accumulating when we grow and change but I think letting go is all part of the process. My backpack is Matt and Nat but I think they've sold out. They do similar though, it's their frappe colour x
Hi Jessica, thank you for sharing your lovely wardrobe journey.I would like to see a video where your inspiration comes from for your wardrobes like your Pinterest inspiration. Thanks Trang
I would love to have a smaller wardrobe for year-round use. But with the items in her closet (as a reference, I think is great, so carefully curated and really cohesive) I would freeze in winter and cook myself on summer. I know it also has to do with my very poor hability to regulate my body temperature, but practices like shopping less/when neccesary and avoiding fast fashion, we still can make a great positive impact on the planet.
Wow, I just found you and I was having a hard time not jumping up and purging my closet. I have a separate tennis capsule in my laundry area, so I understand the separate hobby wardrobe. ( been vegan 3mos too!) this is a great video.
So inspiring! I’ve always tried to live by the one in one out rule, but that still means I’m bringing in! I wonder if you have any photos of your wardrobe before you started? And also tips on how to find your style and start really?! Xx
Jessica Rose Williams so glad I’m not the only one...I was starting to feel like I would never get there, but you’re right, it’s always a work in progress
Do you use the same process for decorating your home? Such as having colors and keywords and then not buying or adding things outside of that? Thank you for your time and all that you share!
Love this ❤ I do have more items then you in my closet... but I did down size from waaaay more (-60% of what I have). I create a spring 2022 capsule wardrobe video :) Hoping to create more content soon. Love your video ❤
That dress you are wearing is absolutely pretty, would you care to share where it's from? Very pleasant video, not too much blabla about the clothes, but nice bits of talk about minimalism. Enjoyed it very much ^^
I've been looking to add birkinstocks to my wardrobe as well... I have a feeling I will never take them off when purchased........ thanks for the confirmation! Lol
I love how truly minimal your wardrobe is, truly inspiring. Dirty shoes on the bed and then you were holding the soles of the shoes and then you were touching your face and hair - gave me major germaphobic reaction.
Loving the feel of your videos and the rest of your online content. How I've only just stumbled across you, I don't know! I have a similar style, especially in the colour department! I don't suppose you have a list of all the clothes that you own on your website or somewhere? Would love to find some new brands. Thanks and can't wait for more videos! Jasmine x
thank you so much. So glad you found me at last, welcome! All the links for the clothes are listed in my seasonal capsule wardrobe posts on my blog. J x
Love the baskets in your dresser! I'm curious - what's in your closet? I want to create a capsule wardrobe for myself, been wanting to for a long time. Just haven't taken the first step... but my husband and I have a large walk-in closet. So I'm curious what's in yours? Thanks for this video, I'll check out more of yours!
Hi Kristin. This is my closet ha ha. I say go for it! If you need a step by step guide my ebook could be for you. You can find out more about it on my blog x
Tiny victorian cottages. didn’t have walk in closets, the bed rooms are probably the size of your closet. Early occupants of the cottage usually had pegs or wall hooks and a chest. A baby cradle and a small bed shared one or two toddlers would have taken up the remaining space. Cottage dwellers invented capsule wardrobes 1 dress for best/church, 2 house dresses, 2 maternity dresses with seams to let out, 4 large aprons,2-4 shawls also used for baby when outdoors. 1-2 hats, boots/shoes, underclothes, 2 nightgowns
Very clean and functional capsule, love that you have show the whole year and not just a season.
Thanks so much. It's just what works for me

you definitely should! I think we can do this in our own way x
I hate those loud, fast paced videos. I don't know what their trying to prove.
Amazing! This the first capsule wardrobe I’ve seen that doesn’t have so many pieces that it feels overwhelming
Love it! Thank you
ah that makes me happy. I can feel that way too, it's why I decided to ease things off and go my own way. So glad you enjoyed it

wishing you all the luck Evra!
Good luck I know it's tough but you can do it 🙌

you're welcome. Thanks for watching. Make up was huge for me too. I can't believe how much I used to own when I was never even really into make up ha ha. No lost time to make up for, it'll all unfold for you as it's supposed to. I think we always have to do what's right for us.
Loungewear tour sounds amazing!!
will pop it in my planner to create!
i would also love this!!
Jessica this was such a beautiful video! Thank you thank you for starting a youtube channel! Your videos are so inspiring and I absolutely love your authenticity :) hope you have a lovely week!
thank you Alica! It was so scary but I'm so into it ha ha. Have a lovely week! x
Thanks :)
I will Emma. Promise x
Fiona x
Thanks so much! It's not easy being where you are but you've totally got this Fiona x
Beautiful wardrobe and i like your vibe. Your smile is very Julia Roberts-esque. New sub!
thank you! That's one hell of a compliment. Welcome!
I thought i am the only one who noticed her resemblance with miss Julia Roberts🙂
Beautiful and very lovely realistic view of the year round capsule. I’ve been struggling with trying to find peace with what I have and it’s very encouraging to hear your thoughts about where you once were and where you are today. Thank you
thank you. Cheering for you Aimee
Hi, I have only just found your channel, after following your blog. Lovely to listen to you and see your capsule wardrobe.
I love how honest you are about the time it takes to create a capsule wardrobe. I’m in my 4th year now and still not quite there yet:)
oh yeah. And I don't think we ever truly get there, it's a never ending story.
So pleased you're here Laura. Thanks so much. Cheering you on to find your version.
Hobby and lounge video please! Thank you for sharing x
Yesss this is the minimalist wardrobe tour I’ve been looking for. It’s so similar to mine in color and types of items and I don’t find much I can relate to out there!
yay! thanks for letting me know
I love that you maintain a year round wardrobe!
I worked out that I actually spend approx 40% of my time in PJ's or lounge wear, and 25% in my work uniform, so definitely don't need excessive amounts of day to day clothes 😂
I'm also doing #20in2020 to rein in my spending this year, and I'm aiming to only buy items that are from sustainable brands or second hand, so your blogs and videos help immensely!
Keep doing what you're doing!
thank you! I know what you mean about those videos, they make me feel the same. So good that you know that. Awareness is KING for curating a wardrobe that fits your life.
I appreciate how real and authentic you are :) just found your channel today and subscribed
Welcome!! Thank you xx
i adore this... i had no idea you were once a shopping addict too... I just bought your capsule wardrobe ebook, as my capsule wardrobe needed a little overhaul... i found it so helpful, thank you... and this just accompanied it perfectly .. lou x
Ah Louise I'm SOOOOOOOOO pleased to hear that! Drop me an email and let me know how you've been getting on x
Love it!!!! I’m the same I like to keep everything out not stored for seasons!
Really relieved that all our capsule wardrobes are different ❤️
i love your wardrobe. it is totally your style. but i can see you gave a good thought on each of them. good luck on your journey. :)
You're so adorable. I've subscribed. Love your home, vibe, relaxing honest demeanor!
Thank you so much!!
The hats look great on you 🤩
Oh, wow, your channel looks really new. Yes, I'd have loved the lounge clothes and ski wear to be shown, too, especially the lounge wear as that's something I can relate to. Please do include the talk if you'd like because I think that's great to learn from that stuff.
it is! I only started last month. Will be sure to do a ski and lounge video too. Lots of talk over here
@@JessicaRoseWilliams Yay! Thanks for your reply and high five and good luck with your channel. I am also now beginning to set up mine as well... after some more editing (omG, so bad at that lool)). Thank you for taking my suggestion into consideration, I am looking forward to that.. :)
My wardrobes 3 words would be. Classic (timeless items), cool-toned (to suit my skintone), and most importantly comfortable!
I can relate to your story on so many levels! I am finally starting my minimal-ish journey and it feels so good not have the desire for shopping anymore.
sooooooo so good!
What ur wearing reminds me of the movie pride and prejudice, which is my very fave movie, love it and have seen it im guessing more than 60 times.... and ur voice and way u speak is so calm and sweet and fun, im obviously a new subbie of urs because of this nice soft video, and i like the barret too, xo marce!!
ha ha thank you, that's one of my all time favourites. Lizzie or Jane though? x
Jessica Rose Williams Lizzie all the way!!!! 😘
Super interested to know how you make dresses work in winter. Also does your husband do the same thing? X
this is a video idea in itself. Thanks for the idea lovely x
P.S. Love the way you incorporate the sweet, romantic blush color into the neutrals.
hooray! I'm cheering you on. Planning an outfits video next week so keep an eye out
Very cool. I have an all year round capsule as well. And I live in a place with four seasons. It can be done 😊
it can! Woohoo
Love love love! This is the video I was needing thank you so much! Love your videos keep doing what your doing it's exactly what we want and need😊❤🖒
thank you! So pleased you enjoyed it x
thank you. So pleased you're enjoying them. Ha ha, got to love those Cavs. And I'm sure you are, if not more so x
Loved this video, so inspiring! And the beret is adorable!😊
It would be great to see the other wardrobes as well and perhaps even some examples of outfits to bring them together and get more wear.
definitely going to do some separate capsule videos. Thanks so much got the outfit idea!
Love how you've been able to minimise it but it all looks so beautiful still - made me want to declutter mine properly!
yay! Let me know how it goes for you
Would love to see a holiday capsule and what you pack .... great video
Thanks so much for the idea Sue
watching you in this video gives me hope to start a solid wardrobe, i'm not into fast fashion but i just never new what i should wear to compliment my figure and complexion i'm on the short and plus size side. :)
I'm short too! Only 5'2. I think it's always worth figuring out your body shape and then researching which styles compliment. You don't have to implement them but awareness is always good.
You're so lovely. Thank you for this; your video is the one that has inspired me the most. Off to prune my close! Love from Bermuda💗
Ohhh I loved the video! Thank you so much! 🌸
so pleased to hear that Lily. You're so welcome
Thank you so much!!
I can absolutely do that Monica. Will put those on my to make list. Think I might go back to the very beginning and share my story with everyone.
the beret is soooo cute on her!!
Such a simple, healthy aprouch!
Love it 😊
💗
Great video. You are a natural on camera!
Lavender Birch thank you! I never thought of myself as a natural on camera
Just found your channel. I am really enjoying this capsule.
Yay! Thanks so much Cheryl
Loved this. Very inspiring, thank-you x
thanks so much for letting me know x
Thank you ..
I decided this moment to go minimalistic ..
Wow
hooray! Let me know how it goes
Jessica Rose Williams thank you for replying! Can confirm I did do the clear out of the wardrobe! Will be sure to check out their backpacks x
Hi Jessica, thank you for sharing your lovely wardrobe journey.I would like to see a video where your inspiration comes from for your wardrobes like your Pinterest inspiration. Thanks Trang
such a good idea. Thanks Trang
Fabulous! May I suggest links to where you can purchase similar items. The linen dress is lovely. ❤️
How cool I found you in the beginning of your channel! Very smart choices in your wardrobe. Love the video :-)
hooray! so lovely to have you. Thank you!
Love this video. Gorgeous simple style x
Thank you so much!!
Really like your wardrobe, styly and some, good amount of stuff. I'm working on slowly moving toward capsule wardrobe...a wee way to go yet
Thank you so much for your honesty!
Wow, I just found you and I was having a hard time not jumping up and purging my closet. I have a separate tennis capsule in my laundry area, so I understand the separate hobby wardrobe. ( been vegan 3mos too!) this is a great video.
yay so glad you found me! Glad you enjoyed the video too, always good to find people you share commonalities with.
So inspiring! I’ve always tried to live by the one in one out rule, but that still means I’m bringing in! I wonder if you have any photos of your wardrobe before you started? And also tips on how to find your style and start really?! Xx
There’s a post on my blog all about finding personal style if you search ‘personal style’ over there
Great thank you I will check it out 🙂x
Would looove to see the loungewear / hobby / workout capsules too!
Definitely got those on the list Lili. Thanks!
Wow I only have 3 more years to go to get my ideal capsule!! 😁 thanks for the video!!!
You're so welcome, glad you enjoyed it. I don't think we ever reach the ideal, which is comforting. It's always a work in progress.
Yes I do!
Love this ❤ I do have more items then you in my closet... but I did down size from waaaay more (-60% of what I have). I create a spring 2022 capsule wardrobe video :) Hoping to create more content soon.
Love your video ❤
love your video and your wardrobe
Thank you!!
That dress you are wearing is absolutely pretty, would you care to share where it's from?
Very pleasant video, not too much blabla about the clothes, but nice bits of talk about minimalism. Enjoyed it very much ^^
thank you! It's from Olive clothing.
You look so whimsical and feminine in that dress , it's so beautiful
What brand is your backpack? It’s so pretty.
I've been looking to add birkinstocks to my wardrobe as well... I have a feeling I will never take them off when purchased........ thanks for the confirmation! Lol
Shay I loooooove mine! They go with EVERYTHING x
I have four pairs now and I love them so much 😆
I love how truly minimal your wardrobe is, truly inspiring. Dirty shoes on the bed and then you were holding the soles of the shoes and then you were touching your face and hair - gave me major germaphobic reaction.
Thank you for commenting this. It really bothered me too. Very unhygienic. Otherwise good video
ha ha
ha ha thanks. Don't ever expect perfect over here. Sometimes I touch my shoes and then my face.
Love it Jessica. Where is the neutral pinifore dress (that ties at the back) from Please?
It’s from a brand called Nadinoo
I love your dress, it reminds me of Pride and Prejudice, my wardrobe is full of dresses too
aw thanks! Lizzie or Jane though????? Dresses are the best
@@JessicaRoseWilliams I think Jane, but you need one of those little cardies they wore on top 😅
@@JessicaRoseWilliams Brilliant, thank you! x
Please, do a video about your stuff for horse riding! I've got the same passion and I'm very curious about that :)
oh like a horse riding capsule wardrobe? Definitely!
Lovely video..what is your favourite go-to brand? Is the pinafore Toast? I really liked your rail choices and how they mixed together..inspired!
Oh I have a few and I've got a minimalist brand directory on my blog you might enjoy. I love Olive clothing, Cos, Free people and Toast.
