You should do a video of cleaning up some of the best finds of the day. For example: The phone box, enigma machine, etc. I think it would be very cool to see it all cleaned up after so many decades.
Directions were to dismantle the machine and dispose of parts separately, primarily the Wheels as shown , obviously it could not be destroyed by fire, Ships, U Boats etc to throw parts in sea , there is a Jap Submarine that delivered supplies to Germany in WW2 and collected among other stuff 200 Enigma Machines for use by Japs, it reached Singapore where it dropped off 50 Enigmas and set sail for Japan but not far outside Singapore it was sunk by hitting a Jap Minefield , presumably the Enigmas are still in wreck (Google it , Jap Subs supplying Nazi Germany)
2:35 Bro finds a piece of metal and he's ready to tell u that he is a Wikipedia Idk how u can recognize that thing in 2 seconds, but ur amazing👍 You're my favorite TH-camr
I was thinking the same. It requires a lot of knowledge and experience. With a small screw found he may guess like " Oh, look guyz! it's a Panzerkampfwagen's top lid hinge's third screw.." Respect.
these are so cool finds. an enigma machine is an incredible find, but like the guns in decent condition and that badge. this is incredible. so many great finds.
"Notes on serving the Wehrmacht" was the large print on that label. It is instructions for something. I can't tell what. "Ersatzsicherungen" is "Replacement fuses."
This is way cool. 80 years since the end of the war and still finding artifacts. Thanks for your work it really brings ww2 to life for me. My parents went through the war.
In the 1980s BBC sitcom Allo Allo which if you have not seen it was about WW2 in occupied France. A cafe owner and his wife and staff are in the French resistance and they get a message on the radio which the cafe owners wife Edith reads. "The Germans have a new machine for encoding secret messages it is called Enema" and Renee the cafe owner says "My god the lengths the Germans will go to to pass messages". One of the staff says "No Edith it is Enigma".
Id love for you to privide us with a map showing rough areas at the start of videos where you are detecting within a country in relation to battlefield locations etc. I hope this is something you could add?
Dull question but do you survey and record the items & their location, like an archaeological dig? I know it’s modern history but the future may welcome that sort of information.
Great Video! What Make & Model Metal Detector do you use? And Also, Do You List An items You Find to Sell? Thanks & Keep Finding More Historical items!
Hi just started watching ur videoes i am fascinated by all the things u find its a hobbie of mine just got my self a new metaldetector hope i find as much as u 🌞
Looking at your videos your finding some really cool stuff. Just an idea maybe taking them through a sonic bath to super clean the things your can fit into. Showing the video cleaning them up would be cool. Just be careful of the sound.
It’d be really cool if you knew someone or could get your hands on like ground sonar technology imagine if there was a giant artillery gun burried close by I’m sure something that big would light the metal detectors up to though
I find this incredibly interesting, and I would also be interested to see what lies in our forest. Do you need a permit for something like this and what do you do with all the treasures???
It likely was a situation where there were a lot more intact weapons than people left to operate them and the retreating Germans would not want to leave functional weapons for the Soviets either.
The videos are about WW2 history, not about me. I never felt the urge to idolize myself, the real story is about the WW2 soldiers that fought on these battlegrounds.
You should really consider doing an episode on the things you have found all cleaned up and displayed That would be far more interesting than mud and rust 😂
It would be nice to know what country or region you are in. My grandfather died April 6 '45 in Hungary and 'so' if you were there it would be especially meaningful for me. As he was attached to 6th SS Pz Armee. and they were encircled and had to abandon bogged down vehicles and break out. He died of exhaustion/hypothermia. 41C
the howitzer would have been called a M1944 (BS-3) that could fire to a max range of 21 kilometres when used as an artillery piece and could also penatrate up to 170mm of armour at, 1000 meters when used in the anti-tank role
When you say left in a hurry, do you maybe think there’s a chance they weren’t alive? Maybe the dump sites were from fallen soldiers? They items found seem to be stuff that one wouldn’t leave behind?

I second that 👍😊

A not completely destroyed enigma machine is crazy
We were really blown away by it as well!

If I lived close enough to enjoy this hobby, I would never come out of the woods again. Amazing!
You could probably dig something up big enough to live in out there 😂
Russians are finding crazy stuff .

It takes some years of experience indeed. Once you find a specific object, it is easy to remember it!

Panzer badge? Field phone? Enigma machine?? Incredible stuff! As always thanks for sharing your adventures!
Thanks for the spoilers😂
Thank you for the support!!
enigma 😂😂😂 simple radio unit
That Enigma machine has got to be extremely rare. Especially being not fully destroyed. What a find
It's just a Radio... no Enigma, just for listening to the music from home...
That Panzerkampfabzeichen looks to be in bronze, not for panzer crew, but possibly more than likely for a Half-track or Armoured Car etc
That badge is in crazy good condition. I'd be pretty ecstatic over that find. Congratulations. And thank you for another interesting video!
We were as well! Thank you!
Wow, what a fantastic day you guys had finding all those treasures.
I'm German and I can tell you, that on the "paper" there is nothing about an Enigma..
"Rundfunkempfänger" is a simple radio-unit🤷♂️
ya he said that in the video lol
WOW... what special finds. Keep this site marked and come back some day. ❤
Awesome ❤️ Thank you , watching from New Zealand 🇳🇿
these are so cool finds. an enigma machine is an incredible find, but like the guns in decent condition and that badge. this is incredible. so many great finds.

"Notes on serving the Wehrmacht" was the large print on that label. It is instructions for something. I can't tell what.
"Ersatzsicherungen" is "Replacement fuses."
„Merkblatt zur Bedienung des Wehrmacht-Rundfunkempfängers“ is „Leaflet for the use of the Wehmacht broadcast receiver“
“Time for another banger”
*as he steps on old WWII mine
Great finds. One of the best videos yet!
First person: Hey Hans, have you seen Franz?
Hans: Last time I saw him he was digging up a land mine.😮
Wow !! Amazing finds, thanks for sharing. love the channel.
Great video. Enigma machine!! Holy smokes
Hope you and your team will come back to this place. Fantastic finds and congratulations for finding parts of an enigma.
2nd part of this adventure going live in December!
Awesome finds guys!!! Crazy whats laying around
Great finds boys. Impressive.
Thank you!
So the expended artillery casings got me thinking… are you concerned about unexploded ordinance? Or mines?
Omg these are some amazing finds. There are so many bras shells and rifles. Great discovery's.
Brilliant day. Congratulations for the finds of the year

Another great video, the last two rifles would be good to restore to static display having the wooden parts restored.
This place was an absolute gold mine!
Awesome video 😁
Prachtige video ik kijk graag naar jou video's top 😊
Just think about it, some german soldier wore that Panzer-badge with pride probab;y, not knowing it would be found 80 years later or something
Do you ever worry about live rounds ?
I would be more worried about mines
What can I say but another great find video Mike and companios.
ENIGMA ! Holy cow that’s incredible
radio
Beautiful find of history❤
That enigma machine is INCREDIBLE! What a video!
Great videos as always 👍👍👍

Great vid , so what do you do with your finds , can you keep them and restore them?
Niet normaal dit..... Echt zo tof......
Panzer Badge in Bronze for Panzer Grenadiers not the Silver version as you described
The phone was cool🎉🎉
Imagine the stories these pieces could tell
you should make a video showing some of your best finds that you've cleaned up.
I find this incredibly interesting, and I would also be interested to see what lies in our forest. Do you need a permit for something like this and what do you do with all the treasures???
Strange that they left their weapons when they left.
It likely was a situation where there were a lot more intact weapons than people left to operate them and the retreating Germans would not want to leave functional weapons for the Soviets either.
You found a rotor for enigma, not enigma. This is realy nice and very rare find, but comparing to the whole enigma it is nothing.
looks more like a MG 34 barrel would match the bolt found nearby 3:53
It's a shame what happened to those rifles!
Long time subscriber and love the video, just wonder why you never show your faces?
The videos are about WW2 history, not about me. I never felt the urge to idolize myself, the real story is about the WW2 soldiers that fought on these battlegrounds.
@ wow very well said mate. Ty and keep up the great work bringing history back 😊
I May go hunt for these treasures some day you mind giving me some good spots where I could get some good treasure?
Please tell me you take the items home or donate them to a museum so they don’t have to keep rotting away out there
Are you allowed to keep the K98 rifles? Great finds by the way.
Hi chris another great video lots of fines stay safe my friend cant wait for yournext installment 👍👍👋👋
Those shell casings were soviet 85mm or 100mm shells by the look of it
Maybe 88 Flak?!

Brandenburg, Germany
Any concern with finding unexploded ordinance?
Love the videos and knowledge in Canada. Have you made a video of your personal collection?🇨🇦🍻
Do you think all that stuff might have been buried or just left there and was covered up over the decades?
Hello in the video in 11:08 you found a czechslovak cold war collar badge for motorized infantry
Echt bizar gaaf!
The soil seems to be sandy so might be near Berlin or the coast.
Brandenburg, Germany
Looks like its shell casing from a tank
Most interesting
Germans didn't have front lines, but front positions, wich it's different. We still explain Wehrmacht with allied eyes and it's a big mistake.
i think those shells were from a soviet 100mm howitzer
the howitzer would have been called a M1944 (BS-3) that could fire to a max range of 21 kilometres when used as an artillery piece and could also penatrate up to 170mm of armour at, 1000 meters when used in the anti-tank role
When you say left in a hurry, do you maybe think there’s a chance they weren’t alive?
