Another aspect to Starfall Racers is that the left coaster is a different experience than the right coaster (and vice versa), giving the rider two different opportunities to experiences on the same ride differently.
You forgot to mention that the ride vehicles are illuminated to appear as comets shooting across the night sky! Also, Universal confirms the 48” height requirement on their website.
This is why I'm not planning my 1st trip to Florida before 2025 when I'll be 55 years old. I remember being a kid in the late 70s r early 80s thinking I might make it to Disney World in 1988, and I've still never been to Florida. When I do I'm focusing on Universal, Busch Gardens, Seaworld, Fun Spot and possibly a trip to the new record breaking swimming/diving facilities in Ft. Lauderdale.
Starfall racers has the same vibe as Rip ride rockit to me, where like u said its a thrill ride but also you could take ur younger sibilings or children or whoever on it if they were up for the challenge, and like when they get off it they wont hate rollercoasters.
tbh I think taking someone on veloicoaster as their first ride is better than rip ride.... it's a way smoother ride and the seats are more comfortable.
I honestly haven't looked at the details on this until now. It looks so cool! I don't think the layout will be as good as Copperhead Strike, but it will still be solid, especially the dueling inversions. Combine a good layout with the interactions with the other train (which I totally love on Lightning Racer and West Coast Racers), and it's a winner in my book, potentially a top 50 coaster.
Its an Epic nod to Dualing Dragons, note that its even next door to Harry Potter where DD died, and How to Train Your Dragon. 😉😉 It's right slap in between them!
I think this is a bit of style over substance. Each ride by itself is not really anything extraordinary (same as Duelling Dragonns). The selling point is the racing/duelling aspect. Why then do they ruin one serious duelling moment with sound-proof walls?! Also, there only needs to be one stupid rider throwing anything towards the other train and that would be the end of synchronized launches! I usually don´t care for themeing on a good coaster, but for a park that tries to be themed to the hilt, I can´t stop asking myself why the bulk of SFR is not themed at all. All the supports are sticking out and maket the whole area look unfinished.
There is one glaring problem with Starfall Racers that ruins the ride for me, its a multi-launch coaster in a resort with more than enough multi-launch coasters already. It honestly adds nothing to the Orlando resort's coaster lineup snd would have veen better off as coasters with lift hills. If it were going to almost any other park/resort (excluding BGW and SWO) I'd have a more positive opinion of the ride, however as the Universal Orlando resort as a whole is MASSIVELY oversaturated with launch coasters it feels like waste while trying to milk nostalgia for Dragon Challenge. I don't have issues with launch coasters, however when you only have ONE large coaster in your entire resort that doesn't use a launch it becomes a problem. I know that I'll likely be ripped into for this unpopular opinion, but the Universal Orlando resort doesn't need anymore launch coasters, and Starfall Racers (as well as all but the Donkey Kong coaster) only make this problem worse.
I agree they need a variety of coaster styles that’s what makes BGT great they got different types of roller coasters if SWO not careful they will have too many launch coasters if the next one after Penguin Trek is a launch also so I hope the next is not a launch I’m still excited to go to the park but I would have thought it would have been the perfect place to go after Fury 325 and beat it out! Especially since Florida don’t have anything like 325 or they should have took the jump and built the first RMC T-Rex!
Hey its an opinion. Nobody should rip into you for that. And honestly, it opened my eyes to how many launch coasters Universal has LOL. I was like wait what?? And then the wheels started turning in my head and I have to agree. The one thing with this coaster is it was probably EXPENSIVE. Mack is bit cheap. I can't imagine a dueling Mack anywhere else.

They are slightly different at certain spots, but I think the overall ride experience will be the same
Somewhat, not like with Dueling Dragons which were two completely different coasters, except the near miss loops.
VERY pumped for Epic Universe!

Well, whenever you do plan a trip to Florida, you're going to need a month to do everything 😂

Rip Ride Rockit, but so much better :)

Its going look so amazing and I love all the pathways underneath and around the ride!
@@XscreamThrills it's gorgeous! I can't wait to go there and just lose my $#i+!
Disney better start planning on how to tackle on taking down universal.
Universal will be the new king in town!
@@XscreamThrills But Disney will always be the Grand Emperor of amusement.
Nothing lasts forever
Disney will have less than 10 years on top, good riddance

I think they don't want a repeat event like what happened to Dueling Dragons, so if that wall is whats needed, then oh well

tbh launch coasters are the best. having a traditional lifthill coaster in a universal park besides rockit is just weird to me
lift hills suck donkey balls, nobody in Orlando wants more lift hills. Save that for amusement parks. This is a theme park.

Is not* cheap
