They should add a Giga coaster that is going to tower maybe 115-120 meters (377-390 ft) in the air becoming the Tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster in Florida (but it could also be manufactured by B&M) and it would be as tall as a 40-story skyscraper
This is so good for Orlando! Disney needs some MAJOR competition to put them in their place for all of the skimping they have done over the last few years.
I'd like to see the Feds get off their asses and start enforcing antitrust laws that have been on the books for 120 years. Disney needs to be broken up. Or at the very least, instead of parks being over taken by their acquisitions, they create new parks: one for Marvel, one for Star Wars, one for 20 th Century. The same goes for Universal. Anything that didn't come for their films or tv shows needs to be returned to their owners. If Warner Bros. seriously invested in their parks, they should be able to buy the Wizarding World back
A theme park built from the ground up with modern technology will be exciting to see. It will be great to see disney with more competition as motivation to improve.
That is an excellent point I hadn’t thought of. A truly modern theme park. Animal Kingdom is the newest park in Orlando (technically Holy Land which is still 20 years old and is closed anyways so doesn’t matter) and that was an entire generation ago. There are employees working at Animal Kingdom born after the park was first opened. To see a park planned and built from the ground up with all the modern technology and concerns is going to be interesting. Especially as it is also being built in a post Covid world now which will have some effect on some of their layout decisions. 20 extra years of days and advancement to make this the most modern park and I am intrigued at what they do.
For a climate like Florida, building a parking garage is definitely better as you're not as exposed to the elements. Plus you can hold more cars. Buying this much land was a smart move. And with the possibility of another park next door to Epic Universe, this plot of land has a lot of potential. Let the imagination run wild
I knew this park would be pretty big, but now that you've added more context, I'm truly impressed by its ambition. With the additions of the hotels, Universal will become a true competitor to Disney.
Universal became a true competetor to Disney the moment they opened Harry Potter in 2010. There's an excellent video by Poseidon Entertainment that describes how Universal can keep going up and up while leaving Disney as second-place.
@@VerbilKint the parks are already quite busy so perhaps they worry it would overload them. also they make a lot of money from their express passes id guess, so its really a matter of making money from selling more park tickets or selling less park tickets that are more expensive, and if they can get away with selling less for more money like they do now then i dont see why theyd change it unless the parks were losing people. but with this 3rd park maybe they would have a low enough capacity for the older parks to need to do that, theres also a lot of cost that would come from testing and implementing a whole new system.
@@notsojoerogan exactly! I’m going to be overly excited if it happens! I hope we will see the monsters roam the land as well as the dark ride being as cool as the rumors sound. And I’m excited for the queue for the ride. I also hope the BEETLEJUICE show makes some sort of return hahahaha
Me too. To be honest that is the best thing about the park that I know about so far if they do it right. People love horror movies and Halloween is huge in Orlando so this will have a lot of appeal. The marioland etc isn't for me but I know it is big for other people.
Same. It’s my most anticipated land since it would be so different to any other lands at all their parks, and Disney’s too. The rumored boat ride would be awesome as well.
If anything the monsters land and the HTTYD land should swap places. I cant see it being justified to relegate such an iconic part of history to just 10 acres while an animated movie series from the 2010s gets 16.5
If Universal were to build another park after epic universe I would like to it to try to create original lands and rides like Disney Sea or Animal Kingdom. Universal has been on a roll lately so it would interesting to see them create original stuff for their parks
Same here. That is a truly excellent comment Disco. The Animal Kingdom is my favorite disney park and i would love to visit Disney Sea. I know it is unpopular to state this but the plans for Epic Universe do not excite me. While I enjoy Epcot I think this Epic Universe will have too much of what is bad about Epcot. Massive open spaces have their purpose but I prefer the mysterious something-around-every-corner experience like Islands of Adventure attempts to create and walking through the Animal Kingdom it is beautiful and there is always something special around every turn. I fully expect Universal will exceed my expectations but right now if I were in an actual focus group and in on the planning I would give it all a low rating. I feel guilty as someone who loves Universal but I would give what I have seen a 4 out of 10. At the end of the day. Maybe they are not chasing after me but, it is worth mentioning that the Animal Kingdom is the second most popular Disney World park. And for me it isn't the animals but the artistry and beauty of the park.
@@orlandotouristtraps7410 totally agree with you. I think The Lost Continent is an excellent example that proves that Universal can make good original lands. I’m also worried on how well a theme park entirely based on IP will age over time. From what I can see in the concept art, by far my most anticipated land for Epic Universe is the giant hub. It could possibly be the thing that thematically ties everything in the park together.
Thats always been universals sticking points is they don't seem to either believe in their designers or they are not capable of matching disney. They do wonders with existing IPs. But when it comes to original ideas themselves we really haven't seen much.
@@dimetime35c I agree they do just fine with their IPs but imagine the original stuff they can do. Just look at the Lost Continent (Universal’s only real non IP based land). They have potential especially now that they seem to be creating more innovative stuff than Disney
@@discoyetiproductions I think lost continent is kinda a double edged sword. A lot of people love how it looks but it didn't get the response like the other lands did. It showed them they can do it. But when investors saw the response they kinda went we aren't doing this again anytime soon. They are stuck in the mind set of better to play it safe then take a risk. Eventually they will exhaust there pre-made IPs and have to do there own ideas.
How had not realized how huge this is! Universal is banking on you coming in to do multiple days in the park. The name of the park is really starting to grow on me given how fitting it'll be!
Universal Studios is 108 acres Islands of Adventure is 110 acres Epic Universe is 110 acres. Either the information is wrong or we are getting excited over nothing. Go to 1:42 in the video. Disney's Magic Kingdom is 107 acres
@@orlandotouristtraps7410 i see! The lot is huge but the park itself will be typical size. I misunderstood that. But it is promising that universal will have that much land available. A future true four park resort, plus water park will finally make universal highly comparable to Disney in terms of experience.
By comparison Disney's Animal Kingdom is 580 acres. By comparison Buckingham Palace and gardens is about 50 acres. And the Vatican is about 110 acres. So the Epic Universe is about 6 times larger than the Vatican and Disney's Magic Kingdom at 107 acres.
I've returned to this video several times because it's just so awesome! I love seeing the size and scope of this expansion, and the potential for the long term future!
I love your videos in general but this one is especially awesome!! I really really like how you placed visual representations of other park area on top; I feel like it’s so easy to say “it’ll be a big park” but it’s crazy just how big it is/could become.
Most parks are built slowly over the years. Like Busch gardens for example but to see a giant theme park built from scratch with rides and all attractions in only just 3 years is absolutely insane.
It's basically all but guaranteed that SNW will have the Donkey Kong expansion from day one, and there's constant rumors about having both Legend of Zelda and Pokemon in the parks as well.
@@keyboardking777 It was rumored, but according to a lot of people. Universal put the whole pokemon and legend of zelda in the back burner because of Covid. They're waiting if SNW is a success big enough to warrant building nintendo parks on the other 2 parks. I hope they remove Atlantis Section in Islands of Adventures with Hyrule.
@@djmadman123456789020 that seems the most likely area down the line for a Zelda land. Just test down the stunt show stage and Poseidon’s building (or at least gut it) to make way fro rides and you’re set. Most of the current theming would work for Zelda as well just do some mild tweaks and some additional Zelda pieces and it’s be a cheap change. Would love to see a space/Sci-fi themed land at Epic or another park that could incorporate Metroid and Star Fox as well.
@@keyboardking777 If they have pokemon and Legend of Zelda......then watch the park attendance go through the ROOF. Zelda and Pokemon are major IPs that will bring in a lot of people....and even perhaps steal away guests from disney. no joke.
Thanks for this, love to see how big and innovative this park is going to become. Universal is about to become a revolution of theme parks with this project!
Thank you for all the work you do to keep us up to date and informed. Putting it into terms as you've done here really helps put in perspective how big this new site will be. Hopefully universal get it right as they have such an amazing opportunity here and have done such great work already with velocicoaster and hagrids.
Great video! This is so exciting, at least 20 years of possible development and expansion with this new site. Also it makes room for existing parks to expand. The possibilities are endless...
I thought that was going to be the original idea of the hub with tickets only required for the lands, not the hub, but seems that this is no longer the case which is a shame as I liked that idea
You can be sure they have an eye on doing just that. They need to keep buying up land everywhere for it and it needs to be bigger than CityWalk. For the record it seems like inside the park there are 5 times more restaurants than there are attractions so maybe they simply incorporated most of that need inside the park.
Second park idea: It's Universal, they will use IP's. Maybe they could do one of those weird park ideas like a Studio Ghibli park maybe introducing foreign intellectual properties to American Parks. Also: I'm seriously just waiting for Epic Universe to be the paradigm shift that puts Universal Resort as orlando's top theme park destination over Disney.
I cant even fully comprehend what a studio ghibli park would look like bc theres so much things to work on imagine a rapids kind of ride set when ponyo causes that storm? a simulator like spider men set during the climax of Howl's moving castle??? a themed rollercoaster even??? and dont even get me started on the visuals for the park bc oh lord
Imagine if the potential fourth park contained discarded ideas from the past? They could also include a land based around HHN to have a counterpart to the Universal Monsters land next door.
Would Love a Jurassic World area but with Velocicoaster being added to Islands of Adventure it seems they don't have any current plans for a new Land in the US based around Jurassic World
If they also added a 4th gate it would be cool to theme it to time- think a prehistoric land, ice age land, Ancient Rome- Egypt and etc., mid-evil times- 1900’s and 100s of years in the future for the different lands!
You'll have hotel guests starting in the back going left or right. You'll have day pass guests going from the front, left of right. So the middles will be nightmares mid-day. So the key for day-pass people is to skip the front, run to the middle, do those. Then leapfrog the hotel geusts 2nd and go to the back of the part attractions. Then leap frog the people that went the other way first and come back around. I agree though, that is a LOT of walking to do in Florida. They better have tons of shade in the outer loops to keep people cool. They should build giant quidditch goal posts in the parking lot to start off the immersion experience. I think you could put How to Train your Dragon next to Lord of the Rings. Blend Berk into the Shire. LOTR I think you have a slower ride that takes you through different scenes and battles. Perhaps like a Peter Pan ride where you're up above and its all miniature sets below. I think Universal could use a little more "charm" in some of their rides and broaden to a whole family park and not a tweener and up focus.
2nd Universal Park: You know what, I noticed each park has a theme. Universal Studios is themed to Movie-making, IOA is themed to Fantasy Worlds, and Epic Universe is based on multiple developed universes. Why not have a park based around Scientific Discoveries? Like their own Si-Fi edition of Epcot (with some added Sci-Fi IPs thrown in there because it’s Universal).
Universal is going to pass Disney as the top Theme Park Offering in Orlando. While Disney is busy rolling out new ways to nickel and dime their following into obscurity, UniStudi is innovating new ways to capture our imagination and give us more room to explore.
I’m so excited for the new park ! I have been to Disney world 1 time and to Disney land in Paris. They don’t really get me excited and universal is cheaper and is more appropriate for people older then 13. I’ve been to universal 3 times and I never get bored, I can’t wait to visit America again in the coming years!
With the direction Disney is taking with its parks and pass holders, Universal has an opportunity to really shine. We look forward to the next addition and adding to what it already our favorite place to go spend a few days.
I don't know that well what IPs Universal holds but I hope we get a retro area with rides and attractions dedicated to classics as Back to the future, ET and Jaws.
750 Acres - Epic Universe 107 Acres - Disney's Magic Kingdom 135 Acres - Hollywood Studios 305 Acres - EPCOT 580 Acres - Disney's Animal Kingdom 500 Acres - Disneyland & California Adventure together 910 Acres - Alton Towers UK In spite of the huge 750 acres of land the actual Epic Universe park, not including back buildings and parking is actually just the size of the Magic Kingdom. It is easy to get excited and lost in all the numbers but it is a bit of a letdown when you consider it is just the size of the Magic Kingdom.
@@trueedge2097 I can imagine being taken to task by somebody asking me... What does it take to impress you? the Magic Kingdom is pretty big its just that with the name and the hype and excitement and the fact it will be competing with the magic kingdom, being just 3 acres larger seems like a letdown. Kind of like the debut of the world's largest cruise ship that is one inch longer and has 10 more cabins than the current largest cruise ship. I am curious. If you had a free pass and could only visit one Orlando park for a year what would it be?
@@orlandotouristtraps7410 Oh I love theme parks. All of them really. I have no hate for Universal, even though I am a massive Disney fan. I want Universal to keep building and growing bigger. Epic Universe is still impressive in size. But to really compete with Disney in size, Universal would need to buy up nearly a full county of land and fill it with all sorts of support services (plumbing, electricity, transport, etc). But of course, Universal really doesn't HAVE to do everything just like Disney or even be as large in land. They just have to deliver good experiences and good rides. But to answer your question, if I had to pick a park to get a pass, I would absolutely want one to the Tokyo Disney resort. Of course, I'd have to live in Japan for a year to do that (but that's a win too). I really want to see how a Disney park outside the US looks and works, and the reports coming from Tokyo impress me the most.
The huge Poop processing plan next door is larger than many of the lands of the new park. The new expensive hotel will be right next door to the very smelly sewage waste station. how many people are going to want to pay $500 a night to smell that? It bothers me that nobody, anywhere is talking about what to do with the huge poop factory next door.
I would rather they just keep on expanding the park and have one huge park. The kind I can visit 2/3 times and still not be able to cram it all in. I appreciate that may not be effective from a business perspective, but I love the idea of genuinely being able to get lost in a massive theme park. Great vid. ❤
Personally a Disney lover (AP member) and glad to see that Universal will be giving the mouse a run for it's money as competition is great for the park goers. It will also help with the raw "size problem" of Universal where is looks so small next to MK. Nice job with the video.
I love Universal but the size really is my main negative for their Orlando parks. I absolutely hate parking garages but in hot Orlando sun the Universal garages are actually a huge positive part of the experience. But the limited space has forced them to use screen rides and simulations which are fine for Spider Man but I am just not a fan of too many simulation rides in one day. BTW I find it very interesting to learn that in spite of all this talk of this being a massive park it is only going to be 3 acres bigger than the Magic Kingdom. I feel like there is some kind of mistake about the size in this video at 1:42 it states the actual epic Universe park is 110 acres. When Universal Studios Orlando is 108 acres and Islands of Adventure is 110 acres. That would mean that after all the hype this new park would be no larger than Universal Studios alone and not including Islands of Adventure? What? If you can set me right please do so. :O)
@@UmmYeahOkYes they will be peeling them away a day or two during their week long vacation. Disney has two years to come up with their own new attractions and there are some big one in the works. The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, Ratatouille, New fireworks shows and whatever else they come up with. But going into the midterms the Admin may want to lock us all down again to force more mail in ballots. Which would mean the parks closing again.
@@orlandotouristtraps7410 I wouldn’t be surprised if they attempt to make that happen during the midterms. Ironically, it seems Disney tends to support the current administration despite them being more likely to negatively affect Disney’s bottom line with lockdowns.
The other park I would build would be a universal classics themed park. Bring back some of the old classic rides with a modern twist (ie: Back to the Future, Jaws, Twister, ET), introduce some new additions (ie: Apollo 13, The Land Before Time, Casper, The Little Rascals), and bring back some classic shows (ie: Blues Brothers). Maybe even move the classic monsters over to this park, and do a more current monsters area in Epic (ie: Child’s Play, Halloween, Tremors)
I wish that they would recognize the vast percentage of people who appreciate the Jurassic Park/Word franchise and build a Jurassic World. The overseas park just got a new ride that looks amazing!
I think they do. Velocicoaster just opened this year, the water ride in California was just rethemed to the new World movies and I have to believe that the one in IOA is scheduled for that as well. But yeah I can see them adding another Jurassic area to an upcoming project. Which dovetails pretty nicely with my idea that they need to get into the zoo/aquarium competition with the Sea World and Animal Kingdom parks. Jurassic Park/World themed areas would be a natural fit for that type of a park.
Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, if someone told me Universal Studios would build a 3rd theme park before Disney built their 5th… you’d sound crazy. lol ouu how the tables have turned
They've got enough expansion space over all four parks to have the equivalent of a 5th park. The question is will they be agressive from 2030 (im allowing them taking 5 years to notice EU is open and stealing their guests) ?
They've already got a 3rd Park with Volcano Bay. Epic Universe will be the 4th park for Universal in the area. You can quibble with Volcano Bay if you want but it is a separate admission park with it's own parking lots and shuttle stops that are completely independent of the other two parks.
2:00 wow, that is a big amount of space. this helps me believe this is the biggest universal theme park, because looking at it from a map it looks smaller than universal studios orlando
if there were fourth theme park after Epic, hope they are JAWS, Anything related to DC: like Batman, the flash, or any Warner Bros IPs, like Inception, that would be amazing
It is about the same size of the Magic Kingdom. That is a nice size but there is nothing especially large about a new park that is only 3 acres larger.
In reference to 7:48 ... Is "Hotel Plot 4" strongly rumored to be a hotel, or could they build garages there? I believe you had a video in the past that showed this potentially be used for garages, and I really liked that idea. Looked similar to how Site A was setup, with the garages across the street. This would allow UOR to build the garages without interrupting regular park operations (just imagine them building garages on top of the regular parking lot... where do people park during the construction??). This would also allow UOR to build a waterpark, or an even larger 4th dry theme park.
While I had suggested that that plot could have garages in the past, rumors and parcel permit descriptions seem to indicate otherwise. One rumored master plan for the future had garages in between two parks, but that was probably drawn up years ago and things could always change! As for how to do it while allow people to park? Leave half the flat parking lot intact at first, while you build the first garage. Overflow would likely be at the original resort with buses to shuttle guests in (like Volcano Bay,) just like they did when they added a garage for Team Member parking behind the current resort. Once one garage is up though, that should be enough parking to support the first theme park while they add the second garage.
Hotel Plot 4 could be a heavily themed IP hotel to challenge Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. It connects to the 4th theme park land and could provide for a seamless experience. The always rumored Hogwarts Hotel would a contender that could challenge the Star Wars one. But I feel that Comcast would have to own HP before they commit to something that huge.
I think in the second park i want to see Universal open a water based park like disney seas. Would really make disney wake up if they had this. And yes Jaws would return!!!
This is FANTASTIC!!! What an amazing opportunity Universal pulled together here. Its amazing that this was even possible in Orlando these days! Can't wait to ride those Space coasters! 😄
I love your channel so much! I really enjoy how you give us a healthy dose of facts and rumors. Yours is definitely the most informative and intriguing Theme Park channel. Thanks for sharing!
i think we're all in agreement for that, they just need to wait until the crowd numbers to catch up with the number of parks, I think we will see lots of cool stuff going into to the existing UOR parks before we get a fourth one so people have reason to visit all 3
I think a horror themed park for the 4th gate would be amazing. Universal could really tap into the crowd that loves HHN year-round, and it's never really been done before.
Ugh, I wish Universal Classic Monsters area was bigger. It's too small. Those other lands with stuff I don't care about is too big. I wish they would resize it and give Classic Monsters 3-4 more acres.
I don’t think I realized quite how big that area was, so thanks for shedding some light on this! It certainly looks like Universal has an “epic” future 😉 As for a 4th- sorry Volcano Bay- 5th gate after Epic Universe, I would love to see a re-purpose of Cartoon Land with classic IPs like American Tail and Land Before Time and new ones like Dreamworks. A proper Shrek land in a domestic park is a must!
Fascinating! Really liked seeing the Disney parks and IOA/Studios layered on top to better understand the size. This is going to be an incredible park!
Pokemon and Zelda of course. The black lagoon boat ride sounds cool. Maybe the lord of the rings thing will happen. I've always enjoyed the idea of a classic universal land. A new jaws, back to the future, earthquake, etc. That would be truly epic
This was so helpful as I knew it was large, but definitely not on this scale. This gets me wondering what type of transportation in park they will have, as it seems on the verge of being too big to walk it.
The area being used for the theme park itself is about half the size of Animal Kingdom (if you include the Safari and animal stables areas). It’s about the size of Islands of Adventure. The second half of the video compares the sizes of the theme park lands themselves and they’re all relative to existing lands at the current parks. The hub is the only part a little bigger than usual, like if Islands of Adventure had a bunch of restaurants in the center instead of a lagoon-but that just means more shortcuts for getting across the park, unlike Islands which is only a loop.
Great vid, Alicia. I know this is wishful thinking but if I was going to build a FOURTH gate at Universal I’d call it something like Universal’s Hall Of Fame and I’d build all the best extinct attractions but better, like Jaws, Kongfrontation, T2:3-D., Back To The Future... Imagine some of these classic attractions but with today’s modern technology. I know it would never happen in reality but honestly with that much space to fill and struggling to find good IPs to make rides from, it might be a smart business decision?!
I've always described the scale of the existing Universal resort as quite comparable to the Disneyland resort in Anaheim. (Which means that visitors to Universal Orlando get some of the benefit of more accessible scale that Disneyland fans seem to feel.) Adding Epic Universe is going to make the experience seem more Disney World-like, with discontiguous bits that are best accessed by shuttle bus. The sum of the two areas is considerably smaller than Disney World, but of course much of Disney World is effectively empty.
If you get a chance to read my whole Twitter thread on this Matt you'll discover than when built out there will extremely comparable to Disney World, it's just they never had to try and be efficient with the land
Is that hotel plot 4 confirmed a hotel??? Id hope they’d use that space as the parking garage and just build a bridge connecting it. They’d need more parking space than they have at uni-islands anyways. That extra 30 acres park space would be awesome addition. Honestly they could have had three parks if they had found another spot for the back of house area but i wont be too greedy lol
The thing I'm most excited for is all that expansion space next to Super Nintendo World. Another Nintendo land based on something besides Mario/Donkey Kong would be amazing. I think the best choice would be Pokemon, followed by Zelda (which would fit in better with the fantasy vibe of all the other lands). I'm so hyped for universal monsters land, and I feel like it will be able to blend a bunch of different IPs into one land with that one, which is cool.
Amazing work! Really impressed with the amount of information in this video and how you present it. As you asked, the second park should be Theme Park Stop Theme Park (development name), it would be underpinned with a massive 1 hour dark ride themed to one of your podcasts with animatronics of you and Ian chuckling amongst yourselves throughout. For added immersion it could include Magic Candle Company scented candles to invigorate the senses.
A true all-Nintendo theme park: * The equivalent of Main Street USA would be dedicated to the original NES, with shops themed to: the first three Super Mario Bros games and Dr. Mario; Duck Hunt; Tetris; the original Legend of Zelda and Zelda II; Excitebike; and Golf * a land dedicated to Mario (subdivided into zones for the main Super Mario series, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Mario Sports) * a Pokemon land * facilities at he resort themed to Wii (Sports and Fit) similar to ESPN's Wide World of Sports * a Legend of Zelda land * an Animal Crossing land * the centerpiece would be themed to Super Smash Bros, and would have nightly shows with a rotating schedule of fights * a Donkey Kong land * a Kirby land * a game show at the hotel themed to Brain Age * kennels themed to Nintendogs
The four lands I would make in a park- Gotham, Nintendo, Universal Monsters(Mummy ride would be the main attraction here, after they greenlight the Mummy 4), and either Illumi-Nation for the kids(throw in a HTTYD ride here, not a whole dedicated land) or something with Fast and the Furious.
So Universally literally could add a 4th/5th gate (if they move their parking lot/back offices/buildings squeeze into the other spaces. Thought I don't expect that to happen for at least 15-30 years into the future.
4th universal theme park ideas: Shrek's swap, new Jaws ride, Skull island, the Kingdom of Hyrule, new Back to the Future ride, and Harry Potter broomstick coaster. (Based on Quidditch)
I think they're going to make a new and better fast and the furious ride with launching dueling car coaster and just redo the one in Universal studios and change that to something new maybe like legend of Zelda or something who knows but I recommend they make a launching coaster with banging music, launching dueling cars, and video effects. This is why they need me on the team lol.
Walking distance is not for the faint of heart. People better start getting shape now!! The ground for what this place is going to be, It's going to be huge......
I like it… I just wish they had more attractions, granted I know it’s “a start”. HUB SEEMS TOO BIG IMO. ⭐️Jurassic World area would be smart. Continue to build like Potter on one of its biggest MOVIE FRANCHISES EVER MADE FOR ANY PRODUCTION! The rides and concept is great, a JEEP ride is something I always dreamed of! I’m sure people feel the same regarding the bubble things you made a video on! (They could make an attraction, simply running that on a track, hiding the bottom that could attach to a square piece, keeping it on course at all times, spinning etc. DARK RIDE, outdoor Jeep ride/ even indoors that look like your outside with fence…? Tons of things they could do with all this space! I DONT WANT V-COASTER TO BE LAST THING! Put 1 in every park, or just make a huge one here, keeping the IOA one. Focus on making it Jurassic Park themed is what I would do. Make IOA other one “Jurassic World”! Who knows… HATE THE “How to train your dragon” plans! What a waste IMO! Something like “flight of passage” would have been amazing for a new park!!! Too kiddie… they could make 1 kids ride like “yooshie” in every “area”. Or one big kids area…
As enormously popular as Velocicoaster is and considering that they just rethemed the water ride in California I think we will see them revisit the JP franchise sooner than later.
At this point we don't even know much of what's going to be inside Epic Universe as is, but I'm super excited for potential surprises. IMO Universal Studios + Islands of Adventure have been superior to Disney parks for decades, and then they built Harry Potter lands.
What would you put in a second theme park next to Epic Universe?
Maybe an area with lots of scenery like an upgraded volcano bay water park for a second universal water park themed on something else
They should add a Giga coaster that is going to tower maybe 115-120 meters (377-390 ft) in the air becoming the Tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster in Florida (but it could also be manufactured by B&M) and it would be as tall as a 40-story skyscraper
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Maybe a reimagined Hard Rock Park with an onsite Hard Rock Hotel and two Hard Rock Cafe locations!
Love this kind of far out future discussion, thank you!

The way Disney parks are going, universal could really take the top spot with a well done Epic Universe and resort/hotels.
@@keyboardking777 Look at you being all meta
@@PoseidonEntertainment Had my shot and I took it lol
I Love Orlando
It already has been a true competitor
After all the nickel and diming at Disney, I am really rooting for Universal to something awesome. For the very least for competition for Disney.
@@VerbilKint your right about that. Attendance would explode for universal.
This channel is so informative. Definitely stands out from all the other channels. Thank you for the hard work!
Thanks!
agreed!!
Good lord this ain't gonna be a walk in the park, it's gonna be a 20 mile trek in the park. 😫 My legs!
I really hope that the classic monster land doesn’t get replaced in production
Me too, that's the biggest thing I'm looking forward too. Such a cool idea for a "land" theme
Really cool imagery with placing other parks (aerial view) to show us size. I love it!
What's the best thing about parking garage jokes?
They work on so many levels
👀💀🤣🤣🤣🤣
👀💀🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hill Valley 2015 would be such a goldmine for merch sales - Universal’s very own ‘future that never was’ Tomorrowland.
Universal Studios is 108 acres
Islands of Adventure is 110 acres
Epic Universe is 110 acres.
As a Brit watching this, the sheer size of the areas involved is just staggering.
But by all means, bring it on!
I hope that they add even more Nintendo themed stuff in the future!
I'm really hoping for Zelda!
So crazy that this video was only a year ago! Look at the park now! They grow up so fast🥲
They really should make a city walk 2 kinda thing over there, that way if they build a second park you could stay there for most of the time.
Yes, it’s already planned.
I cant even fully comprehend what a studio ghibli park would look like bc theres so much things to work on
imagine a rapids kind of ride set when ponyo causes that storm? a simulator like spider men set during the climax of Howl's moving castle??? a themed rollercoaster even???
and dont even get me started on the visuals for the park bc oh lord
Imagine if the potential fourth park contained discarded ideas from the past? They could also include a land based around HHN to have a counterpart to the Universal Monsters land next door.
Jurassic world area, a illumination area and a area that showcases classic movies like jaws and bttf
2nd Universal Park:
You know what, I noticed each park has a theme.
Leading the way with Epic Universe updates - thank you!
I don't know that well what IPs Universal holds but I hope we get a retro area with rides and attractions dedicated to classics as Back to the future, ET and Jaws.
@JasK if they're going for other IPs I think Middle earth would be perfect. "flight of Smaug" and "Gollums cave" just imagine.
Those comparisons really show how big this Theme Parks is going to be
750 Acres - Epic Universe
107 Acres - Disney's Magic Kingdom
135 Acres - Hollywood Studios
305 Acres - EPCOT
580 Acres - Disney's Animal Kingdom
500 Acres - Disneyland & California Adventure together
910 Acres - Alton Towers UK
In spite of the huge 750 acres of land the actual Epic Universe park, not including back buildings and parking is actually just the size of the Magic Kingdom. It is easy to get excited and lost in all the numbers but it is a bit of a letdown when you consider it is just the size of the Magic Kingdom.
@@orlandotouristtraps7410 Thank you for that. I was going to say the same thing.
Great vid. ❤
There is only so much land they can expand on in the original property.
The main problem I have with Disney is that they aren't as customer friendly as they used to be :(
Universal is simply making it a whole lot easier for Disney fans to jump ship and spend their entire vacation there instead.
Ironically, it seems Disney tends to support the current administration despite them being more likely to negatively affect Disney’s bottom line with lockdowns.
wow! props to the graphics guy, the maps are so well done!
Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, if someone told me Universal Studios would build a 3rd theme park before Disney built their 5th… you’d sound crazy.
lol ouu how the tables have turned
o hey its this guy
What an amazing video!! Puts everything in perspective!!
Really loved today's topic, it really got me excited for epic universe. Keep up the good work!
It is about the same size of the Magic Kingdom. That is a nice size but there is nothing especially large about a new park that is only 3 acres larger.
I keep coming back to this video to keep the hype alive.
Thanks I been asking for this
your channel is the best, thank you so much for all your work!
@@ThemeParkStop Awesome, thanks for the detailed response!
And yes Jaws would return!!!
okay ppl p
This is FANTASTIC!!! What an amazing opportunity Universal pulled together here. Its amazing that this was even possible in Orlando these days! Can't wait to ride those Space coasters! 😄
It would’ve be so cool, if they can make roller coaster of flying broomstick just like Quidditch
I love your channel so much! I really enjoy how you give us a healthy dose of facts and rumors. Yours is definitely the most informative and intriguing Theme Park channel. Thanks for sharing!
Very well done, this was exactly the video I was looking for with lots of great info
Thank you! Glad it was what you were looking for!
Thanks for the video! This is a question I have been wondering about all this time and its like you read mind and made a video about it!
I wish they can just build the expansion right after Epic Universe opens & not wait 7/10 years like how they did with Island of Adventure.
Yeah
i think we're all in agreement for that, they just need to wait until the crowd numbers to catch up with the number of parks, I think we will see lots of cool stuff going into to the existing UOR parks before we get a fourth one so people have reason to visit all 3
Expansions = $$$ and park goers though you’ve gotta have stuff being added to keep more and more people coming and hype surrounding the park
I think a horror themed park for the 4th gate would be amazing. Universal could really tap into the crowd that loves HHN year-round, and it's never really been done before.
Wow those comparisons! That's a huge plot of land to use 🤯
Oh my goodness. I just learned that Epic Universe is being built behind my university campus
Very informative this was a awesome way of showing how massive the land is and what possibilities Universal has to make this truly EPIC
Another stellar video!
Man Disney tried to get in first with Pandora and galaxy's edge... But I have a feeling this will be hundreds of times better
It's the size of the Magic Kingdom, not sure why everyone is acting like this is about to be the most massive theme park in the entire world
Great video. Keep it up!
nice video. cant wait to see how this place looks when its finished!
Ugh, I wish Universal Classic Monsters area was bigger. It's too small. Those other lands with stuff I don't care about is too big. I wish they would resize it and give Classic Monsters 3-4 more acres.
This was such a good video! Great to see the comparisons, thanks Alicia 😬
We need a Lord of the Rings land! Somewhere please!
No thank you. The one thing people DONT want to do at theme parks is walk all day. 😏
Crazy that we are 1 year away from opening. The coasters are all currently testing, which is just insane
Yesss!!! I'm going to visit universal when it opens!!! I'm going to wait to take a trip down to Florida!!!!
I don’t think I realized quite how big that area was, so thanks for shedding some light on this! It certainly looks like Universal has an “epic” future 😉
As for a 4th- sorry Volcano Bay- 5th gate after Epic Universe, I would love to see a re-purpose of Cartoon Land with classic IPs like American Tail and Land Before Time and new ones like Dreamworks. A proper Shrek land in a domestic park is a must!
i say take all that land and make it wildlife refuge
Fascinating! Really liked seeing the Disney parks and IOA/Studios layered on top to better understand the size. This is going to be an incredible park!
Awesome Job!!
This is exactly what I was wanting to know. Seeing the existing parks overlayed on the lot gives such a better representation of the space.
When she said how big the hub was all I could think about is how much my feet are gonna hurt haha. Worth it!
Another great video.
Gotham, Nintendo, Lord of the Rings, Skull Island. Why the hell hasn't Warner Brothers made their own theme park???
I've always described the scale of the existing Universal resort as quite comparable to the Disneyland resort in Anaheim. (Which means that visitors to Universal Orlando get some of the benefit of more accessible scale that Disneyland fans seem to feel.)
Adding Epic Universe is going to make the experience seem more Disney World-like, with discontiguous bits that are best accessed by shuttle bus. The sum of the two areas is considerably smaller than Disney World, but of course much of Disney World is effectively empty.
If you get a chance to read my whole Twitter thread on this Matt you'll discover than when built out there will extremely comparable to Disney World, it's just they never had to try and be efficient with the land
80’s classics, bringing back old ass rides from the 80’s and 90’s
Yes, a classic land!!!
I was just at the top golf where that plot is and it’s crazy to think what’ll be there in a few years
The thing I'm most excited for is all that expansion space next to Super Nintendo World.
Zelda would be the smart call there IMO, although Pokemon is pretty popular too.
Whoa! That really is big!
IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!!!
Lord of the Rings for new park for sure.
A true all-Nintendo theme park:
* The equivalent of Main Street USA would be dedicated to the original NES, with shops themed to: the first three Super Mario Bros games and Dr. Mario; Duck Hunt; Tetris; the original Legend of Zelda and Zelda II; Excitebike; and Golf
* a land dedicated to Mario (subdivided into zones for the main Super Mario series, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Mario Sports)
* a Pokemon land
* facilities at he resort themed to Wii (Sports and Fit) similar to ESPN's Wide World of Sports
* a Legend of Zelda land
* an Animal Crossing land
* the centerpiece would be themed to Super Smash Bros, and would have nightly shows with a rotating schedule of fights
* a Donkey Kong land
* a Kirby land
* a game show at the hotel themed to Brain Age
* kennels themed to Nintendogs
What about a Conjuring ride/spookhouse? Go up against Annabelle.
So Universally literally could add a 4th/5th gate (if they move their parking lot/back offices/buildings squeeze into the other spaces. Thought I don't expect that to happen for at least 15-30 years into the future.
Awesome video again thank you
this thing is massive, i can not wait theres gonna be so much to explore
4th universal theme park ideas: Shrek's swap, new Jaws ride, Skull island, the Kingdom of Hyrule, new Back to the Future ride, and Harry Potter broomstick coaster. (Based on Quidditch)
I think they're going to make a new and better fast and the furious ride with launching dueling car coaster and just redo the one in Universal studios and change that to something new maybe like legend of Zelda or something who knows but I recommend they make a launching coaster with banging music, launching dueling cars, and video effects. This is why they need me on the team lol.
They need to change it into a knight bus ride
Walking distance is not for the faint of heart. People better start getting shape now!! The ground for what this place is going to be, It's going to be huge......
Great video!!
