    Kudos for mentioning the privacy/security concerns, and the eventual landfill end for devices like these. Feels like a lot of people simply don’t consider those aspects.

    • @MuhammadKharismawan
      @MuhammadKharismawan ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You can only combat them by buying cheap ones really, like I like my galaxy buds live so much I buy 3of them, as they can be found for under 40$ a pop.

      So goddamn annoying

    • @FullHavocJosh
      @FullHavocJosh ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Unfortunately buying more, cheaper true wireless buds doesn’t really solve the landfill problem. And yeah all the apps will need BT/Wireless scanning at a minimum to assist with connecting to the buds. It’s the Location and additional permissions that we as consumers should be pushing back against…

    • @WesXpress

      The risk is certainly there, however it's easy to say this because it's a chinese product. All of the other apps we use on a daily basis do this that's the hard truth.
      I do have a question though about these buds. Do you need to use the app on a onplus less phone? If you don't need the app for use on a samsung for example I am very interested in these.

    I had OnePlus buds z and they lasted only about 1.7 years. Its crazy to think how we don't own things anymore even after paying the full price. Hey man! 🌟 First off, a big thank you for all the fantastic info you provide! I'm on the hunt for new earbuds and would love your guidance. I've got my eye on the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, but I've noticed they only support LHDC, AAC, and SBC codecs. My Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, supports AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, LC3, and Opus.
    I'm curious if the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will deliver a great experience on the AAC codec (I read a rumor about an LC3 codec update too). If not, do you have any recommendations in the ballpark of 150 EUR? Sound quality, volume, and solid bass are my top priorities. Multi-connectivity is a plus for me too. Thanks a bunch! 🙌

    The OnePlus design is what Apple should have went along with. Jony Ive’s vision of art goes past function to adopt a vision that lacks appeal and draws a lot of complaints. Their resistance to what we all want is still making them boatloads of revenue. I think the iconic white AirPods should finally bring stunning metallic colors to the AirPods like OnePlus and more. Theres so much to bring with wireless technology latency and high definition amplified sound.

    Obviously you have to use golden sound to make it sound even better and the basic classic codec.
    Also the reason they ask for location is thanks to Google, becuase from Android 12 to scan bluetooth device they need location absolutely stupid but you can give it permission and then disable location. When you talk about the environmental factor and the batteries, you should mention companies like Redwood who offer free recycling programs for end consumers on devices that contain lithium batteries so the material doesn't get wasted. Americans send so many electronics to landfills every year that it's equivalent to thousands of whole EV batteries (and those are very big!).

    Important to note that you can adjust eq in your system settings with Dolby Atmos (at least for one plus phones. Idk about other phones). Personally I find thay the movie preset actually has amazing sound for detail and sound stage, so I dont bother with the eq settings.

      @@DSRT888 in a nutshell, you get better bandwidth with wires. There are $20 IEMs that will blow $250 wireless out the water. I wouldn’t rely on wireless for music if that’s what you’re into, only convenience for call quality and hands free operation.

    I bought like 10 pairs of TWS and I almost never use any of them. I end up going back to wired every time because they're always so much more reliable and I never find the need to be away from the listening device.

    The app situation could be just that the app is actually asking for more permissions than it actually uses, the developer is responsible for requesting the correct permissions. Still, they should fix it regardless.
