Frozen ready meals!! Tesco do some pre-done bags of paella and risotto, all you have to do is heat it up in a pan! Has veg in it so you don't have to worry about adding sides and extras, only takes 5ish minutes to heat it up! If you start cooking, I highly recommend mixed bags of frozen veg, that way you don't have to do any prep work and you don't have to worry about it going out of date quickly
Batch make smoothies and freeze them in mason jars - you can throw in loads of good ingredients, and just grab them out of the freezer the night before or the morning you are heading out
I always add some neutral protein powder to my smoothies as well to try and make it a more balanced meal/snack that will keep me fuller and fueled longer
For cooking I love making hearty soups in the crockpot. Its nice when you just have to cut things up (or buy them pre-cut) throw it in a pot and forgert about it for the rest of the day till its time to eat. For snacks I like having fruiit and yogurt or some jerky or some chips
I actually have an idea for healthy snacks! I get double chocolate protein cookies 🍪, they’re individually wrapped (so can take them out), high protein, low sugar & taste like a normal cookie & great energy boost 😋 I have a link for 45% off your first order if you want, but this isn’t an ad lol, I’ve just being getting them myself for a year or so myself ☺️
Let's be honest....You love sugar you do In terms of 'getting' your vitamins 'in' Maybe...I dunno...also take some vitamin supplements? Just a thought 🤔
For snacks I tend to grab granola bars, trail mix, protein drinks, or put together cheese & salami & crackers (or just some cheese if I'm in a rush lol). Currently working on widening my selection so I will be reading the rest of these comments too 😅
@SmallandStrong66 Oh, interesting! I didn't realize that was an American phenomenon, sorry 😅 My mom has sometimes thrown nuts and dried fruit (and some chocolate) together to make it from scratch, but that is definitely less easy
i like to eat skyr (icelandic yoghurt) or greek yoghurt and put in some prechopped nuts and either cut up some berries/fruits and add them or buy frozen ones and put those in if i take it to go (as in i’ll eat it later so that the frozen things can soften up a bit) sometimes i add some honey or maple syrup on top so it’s sweeter.😊 for something salty i usually just have bread with cream cheese and some cut up veggies on the side or make a cheese and ham sandwich and bring some tomatoes. some days i either have a banana or an apple or an orange as a little snack. other days i have biscuits or both haha
Meat and cheese I love food instant pot like the mini carrots onions potatoes and a roast I'm going to cook for a few hours. You water in it. And then good food eat few times
Good afternoon have a couple of meal idea things that work for me as somebody with a physical disability(also use a wheelchair) I discovered meal prep containers and meal prepping a couple years ago . So I only cook a couple times a week and I meal prep adult Lunchables. Once or twice a week too. All you really need is some good quality meal prep containers usually divided containers are better Amazon has a wide variety of these. Otherwise, any home and kitchen store should have something similar even in the UK. Going to put a few video links here to give you some basic ideas. For the adult Lunchables. (Will put my link separately so if it gets lost in your spam folder, you’ll know to look for it 😂)
Ooh that’s a great idea! I’m really trying to get protein in at the minute so I’ve been having protein yogurt pouches. I’d love to try these!

When I was in America I loved trail mix but I’ve never found it in the uk
@SmallandStrong66 Oh, interesting! I didn't realize that was an American phenomenon, sorry 😅 My mom has sometimes thrown nuts and dried fruit (and some chocolate) together to make it from scratch, but that is definitely less easy
I could do it in a big mason jar and then take what I fancy with me… although we all know I’d take the M&Ms and leave the rest
@SmallandStrong66 Ooh yeah that would work! Lol we all know the m&ms are really the whole point of trail mix...
