why they took so many years? They could have increased the power output to 300hp with rear engine, that would be best way for comfortable travel secondly they have to build company body on to the frame with proper standards and norms. Still 50 lakh difference b/w Volvo and ashok leyland
Isme rear engine dena chahiye tha. rear engine deta toh power loss kam hota and pickup bhi zyada hota tha. ye agar flop hoga toh front engine ki wajah se hoga. rear engine dene se direct competition hoga Volvo se. aur bhi bohot kami hain jaise steerable rear axle ekdom piche dena chahiye.... usse gaddi turning k time easy hota hai. muskil hai bhai iska success milna.

It remains to be seen if operators go for this bus. Mercedes, Scania multi axle bus failed in front of Volvo as volvo brand pull is quite strong. Even though AL is quite cheaper than volvo but in this multi axle segment volvo is so strong. Still if this succeeds maybe tata will also think of this model which I believe tata will not bring now.
I think there is no need of multi axle as of now plus company should itself launched with bus body from any oem bus body builder and launched bus in expo to give a perfect idea how bus would function this is new segment for them so better make 2-3 bus with body and present before customer rather then selling chassis
