MAN wanted to focus on the Premium products for their global market and In India their sales were too below than average (Due to AMW, Tata Prima and Leyland Captain launched in the same period) Survival for them had became difficult and Force Motors should have helped them revive but it takes crores and crores of investment and Force didnt wanted to do that as it was a Gamble.
Yes. Even AMW was bringing their front engine Multi Axle Bus but their bad strategies, internal politics and ridiculous stake holding pattern were the main reasons for their downfall. Otherwise they were giving tough fight to Tata and Leyland at that time.
Well They had 3 models in their lineup of 4 wheel pick ups 1) Ape Mini (a 500 KG payload model) 2) Porter 700 (a 700 KG Payload) 3) Porter 1000 (a 1 Ton Payload model) All these were manufactured at the Baramati plant in Pune Maharashtra. Well I feel why they shut their 4 wheeler cargo segment is firstly because emission norms, kyuki Jo Inka 1 litre wala engine tha use BS6 me upgrade karne ka koi trick inke pass nahi tha and they had a tough competition by Tata Ace, Mahindra Supro, Mahindra Jeeto, Tata Ace Zip, Ashok Leyland Dost ETC Survival was difficult hence they got back to their star products like the Ape, Ape Classic, Ape Xtra, Ape Xtra LDX coz these autos use simple engines with low displacement and Inka maintenance ka taam jhaam bhi sasta hai.
Yah engine mein istemal karta hun mere pass is engine mein do truck hai .. 22.50 tun pr yah gadi panch ka mileage degi kyunki 47.5 ton per meri gadi 3.5 ka mileage deti hai.. aur bahut silent engine hai mujhe gadi line se hatna hai.. nahin to 3 lakh km mein gadi chala chuka hun aur Aaj Tak engine mein kuchh bhi nahin..
Senseless video, senseless comparison. Ashoke Layland will never beat volvo. This Ashok layland bus chassis is front engine. Cost is very high. Simply cannot beat volvo.
