Thank you for sharing your insights. The Black consciousness movements all seem to take a turn for the worse at some point. We should not let them invalidate our identities.
One of your best videos. She explained Pardo very well. She reiterates mixing since the beginning of colonization. I can think of several ethnic groups in the US like that that shouldn't be in the white or black grouping being French Creoles, Portuguese Creoles, Cajuns, Seminoles, Lumbee etc
Hi both, I am mixed race as well, born in a former Portuguese colonie Mozambique 🇲🇿, I'm multi ethnic- black, Indian (from Asia) & white Portuguese you both stand your ground!! You are cleared mixed race people, its not possible to be categorised just as one group because of genetics in general and Health Care issues, simple as that starting from there! Coming from multi ethnic/racial ancestry and family, I was raised to respect all my ancestors no matter their ethnicity. This is just American non sense to spread confusion and new forms of division!
@@krazyjnva2up2down55 hi, as I know from Portuguese former colonies, just Cape Verde has creole people. Angola and others Portuguese former colonies they have mixed race people and of course majority black, white and other races in small numbers.

@@loa367 History of Atlantic Creoles edit Starting in the 15th century, Europeans, mainly the Portuguese, began to settle in regions of Africa such as Nigeria and Angola.[5] Soon an early Atlantic Creole culture began to form with cultural diffusion and admixing occurring. Some of these individuals would travel with Europeans in the exploration, colonization and settlement of the Americas in the late 15th century and early 16th century such as Juan Garrido and Juan Valiente.

My ancestor was Portuguese Creole also. He's name is Emmanuel Rodriguez and he was born in Angola to a Portuguese /Italian father and Angolan mother.
