I don't know if you still respond to comments, but I was wondering if you could help me. I'm deciding between the Rotring 600 and Uni Alpha Gel Kuru Toga (both in 0.5mm). Which one would you recommend for writing? I have medium-large hands if that makes a difference.

Hi there. I also have large hands and like aspects of both. The Alpha Gel is more comfortable for longer periods while I like the feel of the Rotring 600 much better overall. What will you be using it for primarily?

If you're going to be writing longer, the Alpha Gel grip whould do wonders for fatigue

Should I get this or Pentel graphgear 500/1000 or the kurutoga roulette, I want to buy a premium pencil which is easy to write notes 📝, for college , please reply need your piece of advice

Hello, sorry for the late reply, it's been fairly busy with the holidays coming up!
I think it really depends on what you're looking for. I think they are all great options. If you want comfortable writing over a long period of time, the Kuru Toga Alpha Gel is probably your best bet. I did do a video of the Roulette and while I find it comfortable, it wouldn't be my choice for long-term writing. The GraphGear 500 was my main pencil through college and I loved it. I recently purchased the 1000 and find it to be quite a bit more comfortable than the 500.
      Hope this helps!

I draw too and quick tip it’s not about the pencils it’s about the type of lead you get man some leads are darker than other I use H,H2 lead darkness I say you should look into it but this pencil it’s great at least so far

0.3 or 0.4? Very, very few people use those lead sizes unless they're doing drafting work that demands it. 0.7 is the most popular size, but 0,5 is an extremely close second. Far more popular with some types of writing. 0.9 is third.
The rotating mechanism doesn't work very well at all with larger lead sizes, so 0.3 and 0.5 are the two best sizes, and 0.3 is nowhere near as popular as 0.5. 0.4 is even less popular, far less popular, than 0.3. I don't know whether the company will adapt the mechanism for larger lead sizes or not, but doing so is not as easy as you may think. I hope they do find a way, but this pencil is made for smaller lead sizes, though I think 0.4 would be a huge mistake, and would cost the company a lot of money.
You can get a 0.3 Kuru Toga, but I hate it. The lead is too sharp, and actually rips many of the paper types I use.
Sometimes you just have to understand that companies do a lot of market research before they make any decision, and that's the case here. Combined with the fact that this mechanism doesn't work well with larger lead sizes, and the fact that market research shows that 0.5 is considerably more popular than any other lead size except for 0.7, the company made the right decision.
And, of course, the fact that any lead size below 0.5 is so sharp that it can cut the paper, there should be no complaint about this pencil primarily using 0.5.

I want to get some 0.3 mechanical pencils and actually have a Pentel Orenz Nero heading my way now! Hopefully it's not too sharp. But, I agree, 0.5 is one of the best!
