      @@rosshorne4769 all still really good, only cut out once when I was playing bass guitar with a heavy bass packing so I just upped to a stronger power pack and still no probs. Thanks again..

      Hey thanks for watching, I’ve been out busking with it the last week. I use backing tracks and play lead over them. It is loud enough using the external power. But does blip if bass is tooo heavy. Keep rocking bro

    I have 2 talentcell power banks velcroed to my spark amp, comes with the cable and loads of adapters for various laptops and other devices, think I paid 90 quid for the 2, probley get 8 hrs out of each, great video👍

      Remember it is a reduced volume but more than loud enough for busking and home use

    Hi Ross I was telling you I was taking to Scott and he was to send a replacement lead but he hasn’t sent it and I was sending emails to myvolts but they are not answering to my emails so still have had no luck with getting it to work

    So a question for you. The Spark amp requires a 2.5 A current. The ripcord supplies 0.47 amp. In theory, the ripcord would be inadequate to supply the current the amplifier needs. Unless the Spark uses way less and just advertises a need for 2.5 A current.

      Hi, I presume the 2.5 is at maximum volume output, I use the spark with backing tracks and play guitar over it(outside for busking) and the ripcord deals with it, only on one song does it stutter. But I can live with that,

      Harold I’d give the cable a try and see how well it works for the Akai. It might surprise you.

      @@rosshorne4769 Thanks for the quick reply. That was the only reason I hesitate to take the plunge and buy the ripcord. I e mailed myVolts to ask the same question. I’m waiting a few days but leaning towards getting it.
      Btw, the powerbank you’re using, how big is its capacity? Would a 10,000 mAh work?

      @@rosshorne4769 So I ordered a different item. Still waiting on it. It's a power bank that has an output capability of 19V instead of the ripcord. Will let you know if it works on my Spark 40

      Good point, I think the difference is it produces less wattage with the ripcord

      Yes it’s code is AA932MS 19v , I’ve since used the amp busking a few times

    Hi there! The Spark seems to require 19v whereas the Poweradd pilot x7 seems to be a 5v output.
    Does the cable up the voltage? Could you link me to a UK supplier of the cable or is it only able to be imported from the USA? Thanks for your time!

      Yes the cable acts as the inverter. www.myvolts.co.uk and the part number required is AA932MS. They have free uk delivery on orders over /
      £12 . Mine is still working fine for busking

      P.S Can you fathom a way to use the aux in as a method of amplifying my voice as accompaniment? Perhaps using a vocal pedal or some such's line out?

      I use backing tracks via an OFFLINE app which provides me with backing tracks (so I don’t rely on mobile internet)

      Good idea. I am preparing myself for a bikepacking busking trip around the UK and wanting a way to amplify my acoustic guitar and voice. Seen a few options but are generally expensive. If could use the amp I already have that would be awesome. The aux in on the back is only potential option I reckon. Alternatively will need buy other battery powered amp/pa. If can find a small one just for voice and use spark reckon that would work. Thanks again for help! 👍

    I bought the parts what you advised. It works but, it cuts out when you turn the amps volume up halfway or even less..It's obviously an issue with the voltage coming from that Poweradd backup pack.. Do u have breaking up volume issues?

      Hi, I’ve had mine out busking and a girl telling how far away she could hear it, which was about near 80 feet .
      That was with backing track and guitar on top. I do however get a similar issue to yours if there’s to much bass .

      Hello again, Ross. Contrary to the rumoured delays I took delivery of my 'Spark', from the USA to bonnie Scotland 13 days after I placed the order. I've now got my Poweradd (got two at £18.00 each) plus the Ripcord cable at £14.95 and I'm delighted with both the amp and the cable/battery.
