I think one way to promote church growth is to (from Sam Chan's book) have Christian friends do things regularly with non-Christian friends. Merge the two universes together.
When we preach fear, hell, damnation, your sins are taking you to hell - no wonder people give up on the church - everyone knows there’re a sinner. Anyone who says they have no sin is deceived- when we preach Jesus ‘ love for us inspite of everything! Then Jesus comes into their lives and it’s Jesus that transforms - NOT the church or the minister. Preach the Gospel - not the violence if the Old Testament
I'm just wondering where in the bible it talks about percentage goals....? this conversation feels very much from a statistical world base. The 'church' is the body of Christ, and is infused with His supernatural power and presence, so looking at mathematical quantification has no direct corellation to God's work. Look at Hebrews 11 and 12.
