Great to see mate. So do you follow the practice of planting after Melbourne Cup? Here in Central NSW our temps are still low, and it is the belief that you shouldn't plant until Melbourne Cup, as the last frost should have happened by then. I'm glad that you're doing regular updates, it will give me something to compare my garden beds to. Thanks again for keeping us up to date.

Hey Andrew, the frosts have finished here in Tatong. I was early last year by about two weeks and lost all the seedings from the hoop house. Once I planted again was effectively 1 month behind in harvest. I keep an eye on the ground soil temps and plant out when the soil temp is over 12c. This year was early Nov and checked the previous years on the web. Cup weekend is the go for us. Good Luck.

A week after the asparagus starts coming up, put the seed in and wait for it to rain. About one month before the the cup, where he is

Hey Bruce, that's correct but never heard of that. We have already harvested some asparagus from the garden. I'll watch out for this again next year. Thanks heaps. Cheers
