Originally I had no context for this when I was doing the Emil side quests on my very first run. Now that I’ve played Replicant, I may go back through my automata save file to this point and cry a lot.
So Emil is long gone. He's dead, I'm sure, or he'd probably be known. Even not physically dead, his mind is gone. Kind of like what people think dementia does? He's forgotten. He's nothing more, nothing less than the Emil he created. He probably also forgot his original purpose and just...exists. Probably still creating more of himself, if he remembers how, but for what, besides loneliness, if he's forgotten everything else? I'm sure it was also draining to save the world for a moment the first time in Nier, imagine using that much power to attempt a second miracle.
i have a question.... knowing after this, the secret emill bosses... HOW THE FUCK an army of this emills with the original emil wherent able to defeat the Aliens when those idiots where killed by their own machines....
The machines were invincible for the network, they just needed materials to make new bodies and that is how the world slowly got destroyed, the aliens just watch from a safe spot before they were kill. Also, many Emils probably went berseker getting infected with the virus and destroy each other in the process, we see many Emil infected with the virus in the secret boss fight in emil determination quest.
@@rioluzx6060 what makes you think they were infected? The logic virus should only infect machines or androids. Emil copies are neither. I think the copies just lost their sanity with time.
I find it interesting that 2B thanks Emil for the Lunar tear after they mention about it being able to make a wish come true. I never did this quest as when I discovered it I was already past being able to do it. That said, having done all playthroughs and main endings perhaps I know why she thanked them for the flower instead of 9S
Hmm some say that this place is straight the same Kaine shack from Nier. Which would mean that the commercial facility and the city (ruins) were constructed by androids several thousands years after the Nier events, after pretty much the whole Nier map went underground (I believe it wasn't just a natural process but also an aftermath of the war). I wonder...
this was my first time playing anything Neir and my playthroughs were god sent. i needed all those moments (sad and happy) to get over personal life events that destroyed my confidence and ego
