Impressive variety of trains here; I thoroughly enjoyed watching this! Highlights for me are probably the Class 56 which did that run-around, as well as the Northern Belle ECS - that class 57 sounded pretty sweet powering up. That catch of the 47 next to the pair of 68s on the flask at the end there was quite something too! Stafford just seems absolutely mega for freight!
Absolutely 😃 I couldn’t believe my luck when the signaller put the 47 and 68s on adjacent lines and even more so when the 47 pulled up next to the 68! Stafford is always amazing. I have been here before but I have long believed that this station deserved a full day to capture all the variety, and, as always, I’m glad to provide 👍🏻
Great video as always, you are the person who inspired me to do recordings of buses, trains and even trolleybuses but I just keep those videos to myself
Fantastic video Ross. It looks like you had a great day at Stafford one of the best station on the WCML for freight traffic. Thanks for sharing and have a good Sunday 👍
You definitely should! This station is a gold mine of special workings, locos and even charters on the right day. I found that around mid-day to afternoon was the best time for freight. Have fun 😃
Not too bad but with 94 individual information cards, it did take me a little while to check. I had a lot of fun on this day so it was worth it to me! 😃
I was on Atc up to Glasgow yesterday and I saw 2 charters : a steam train in Carlisle and a diesel swap over in Crewe. I love west coast content and hope to see more.
Thanks Duaine, this is definitely one of the best videos I have EVER filmed It was great to meet some fellow TH-camrs here too! I even had a jolly good chat with SMILEVideoTrains as well 👍🏻
@@benGBRf I know! I couldnt believe my luck when the 47 driver decided to pull up and have a chat with the 68 driver. For a few minutes they were all sitting chatting in the 47 cab, clearly they all knew which one had the best heater 😃
@@StarlifeStudios haha yes who would have thought it would be the duff with the best heater. I bet the 68 has the better AC though 😏 It's good to see the drivers doing that though. You tend to find the drivers on freight mainly know each other from their areas even if its different FOCs
Many thanks Lord Everything, you've been around for so long, you'll probably remember the *first* Stafford video I made! 😃 th-cam.com/video/nj-RIU16IZI/w-d-xo.html
Good question! 4L90 (Which was a 66 on this day) is the regular 90 path. The other was 4L87 and this was a pair of 90s but it passed after I had finished filming. Thanks Ormond 👍
I believe this service encountered issues at Birmingham New Street and ended up being over an hour late. As to why Bromsgrove was where the train was terminated, I have no idea! Thanks for watching. 😃
Did you get to see any of the Class 730 Aventra out and about doing test runs that are to replace the Class 323, Class 319 and Class 350/2 and Avanti West Coast Class 805 which are also out & about doing test runs and are replacing Class 221 Voyagers.
No 730s or 720s this time. Amazingly, I must have picked the only day where there wasn't any! There was planned to be an 805 move on this day though (from Oxley to Glasgow) but it was cancelled. Thanks as always Andrew 😃
I have not filmed at Nottingham station yet. There are strikes upcoming which will limit what I can do. It will not be uploaded anytime soon since I have enough content currently to continue into October without filming!
Something that annoys me is that GBRf's livery imo sucks, i dont like how on the class 66 the orange blends with the yellow, and yet they have the best and most special liverys out of any operater in the uk (i think)
As Madeline said, most Great Western stations east of Reading have a platform fence which makes it difficult to film at. Given the right authority (staff allow you to go past) some of these could be possible but unfortunately, some may never be good.
@@StarlifeStudios Well If You Head On Platform 2 At Hanwell And Head To The West End. You Can See West Ealing Station In The Distance And A Good Shot Of Westbound Trains Coming Through The Station

Thank you very much Imperialist! 👍
What an opening scene Ross. Perfect for a great location particularly for freight. Fantastic footage and very enjoyable 👏🏻
Thanks Ben, can’t wait to start seeing your new Class 99s on this route 😃👍🏻

Who’s a class 350 fan here?
How come at 6:05 there was a cross country service to bromsgrove?
This service was cancelled on its journey due to a train fault. Thanks for watching Adam.

5:49 the 220022 supposed to terminate at Bromsgrove? Or is the line outside Bromsgrove tempoary closed?

Love the Pendolinos -- shame they're going to be replaced by more if those dodgy Hitachis. Good video!
Pendolinos are here to stay! Voyagers will be replaced though, they’re in testing at the moment so this is likely the last year of them.
DJM I've seen the Ban res train it goes to Lafarge aggregates works in Ban . 😊
Great video what do you use to film with and edit do you use filters or LUTs to get the great sky shots
This is one of the only videos recently that I've seen more freight in than passenger traffic 😂
Barnetby is another good example of that! - th-cam.com/video/KcTXFmxYYr8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zvDmz5NWszTak6Gh
