Home of the VOYAGER! Apologies for the lens flare and occassional dots. The reflective station roof and a new camera lens did not have the effect I thought it would, needless to say I won't be using it again! Thanks for Watching! 😃
Apologies for the lens flare and occassional dots! The metallic station roof and a new camera lens did not have quite the effect I thought it would, needless to say I won't be using it again! Thanks for Watching! 😃
Thanks EJC, you still getting a pretty good variety here despite some cut backs but I think I managed to get a pretty good slice of a typical day and some specials. Thanks for popping by today 😃
@@camotech1314 Yes Indeed. Back in the 1980’s, New Street platforms in the undercover areas - the air there used to be thick and blue coloured with all the diesel fumes chucked out by HST’s, 31’s, 45’s, 47’s and the Class 50’s used to chuck out a lot of exhaust too 😀👍🏽
No problem, thanks for stopping by to watch! This one took some editing (and checking) but I’m glad to provide. There are 100 (exactly) train movements in this video. 😃👍🏻
I’d love to say it was all planned but.. the test train was and the Rail Adventure Powercars definitely weren’t! 😃 Thanks Fastline Films, I try and put something special into all my videos 🤞🏻
The new Class 730 trains should be in service very soon on West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway. And the Class 196 Civity are now in service. I quite like the CrossCountry Class 43 in old Intercity 125 livery. But CrossCountry aren’t going to use them anymore which is quite sad to see.
Nice video! The Alstom Aventra trains of Class 730 of West Midlands Railway are so hot, attractive, delicious, cool and nice, because of the open gangway. Are all Bombardier Turbostar trains of Class 172 replaced by CAF Civity diesel trains of Class 196? That last one is also the same feeling for me as Class of Class 730.
That's 1 busy station, a must visit on my list. Can I ask do you need permission to trainspot from network rail & is it easy to navigate around the station. Thank you. 😊
You have to sign in at customer services but as long as you call yourself a trainspotter, they will give you full access and through all barriers. Access is fairly simple with 3 walkways between all platforms. Enjoy!

YES MY CITY'S STATION! So happy that you chose to film here, it is possibly one of the best trainspotting spots in Britain!
remember when I ruined your scr stream with signalling 🤭
and same
how did you find my comment@@Rowan66109
Tamworth is 2 stops away and is way better
I don’t get the hype with spotting at Birmingham. It’s literally the same Multi Units on repeat. 🥱

Welcome back to the West Midlands. You're in my region as I'm from Worcestershire. Great catch of the HST.
Lovely Video Ross! I love Birmingham!
Great video 😎👍🏽 I remember New Street in the 1980’s…it was a fantastic place then to see trains 😎🇬🇧👍🏽

Can only imagine the smell when more diesel stock was running under the roof. 😮😮😮

Very rare to get freight or test at Birmingham New Streets. You've captured some rare movements.
I’d love to say it was all planned but.. the test train was and the Rail Adventure Powercars definitely weren’t! 😃 Thanks Fastline Films, I try and put something special into all my videos 🤞🏻

All Rugeley to Birmingham International services are operated at West Midlands Railway despite using London Northwestern Railway Class 350s.
