Mate. I’m here cutting clips having a beer and this notification came down and I said no fucking way out loud ahaha! I’m super glad you enjoyed it mate and I love your work broski 🎣
Never seen anyone jigging like that in an estuary under a bridge, is it a common approach? On another angle, generally soft plastics or hardbodies? I like the Atomic Crank 38s for Bream and the Daiwa Double Clutch’s 60s 75s, for Flatties
I mean it’s not really common as a pose to using soft plastic or hardbody’s but it’s 100% something people do for sure man, the atomic crank is a goooooood bream lure and man the double clutches are also up there! For your bigger flatties they tend to only eat once a day so throw the biggest things you can find! 5inch and up work a treat
Hey mate great fish. Have seen some massive fish across from that spot in the small marina. How do you go kayak fishing further towards the mouth with the current?
Where's abouts exactly mate? Because where I am in the video I don't have a marina around me for at least another 6-7min drive haha. But kayaking up towards the mouth can be very very good but all it takes is one boats wake and if you're close enough it'll push you into the rocks, anytime I kayak near the mouth I make sure I can see who's coming behind and in front, other then that it's pretty fkn fun up there
DillanTraykofish Yeah not so much of a marina but near Afex Park. I might be thinking of the bridge further towards the mouth. The bream cant resist chips as they get all the scraps that the seagulls drop haha. Ive got a 3m dragon kayak so I might give it a go in the calmer areas.
I sure do. I've got a 1000 size stradic and then the 2500 which is in the video and they're possibly my favourite reel. They're such good quality reels and if you rinse them off after each use etc and look after them then they will last ages! And I was using a 1/4 ounce with a 1/0 hook legend
Incredible seeing that jigging technique in that way. How did u come around to trying it. ?? Slow pitch rod but kingfish knife jig style retrieve. Very very interesting indeed
About time someone noticed my unique style 😂 Every time I light jig for Trevallys I've noticed that they really like speed more then anything and that's why my retrieve is very fast and now the rod...well I kept getting snapped on my other rod so I went and got a "light jigging" rod and well that's how that happened 😂😂😂
This is a good little vid dude! NOICE!

This was a hectic watch dude, how deep does it have to be to do that style of fishing in an estuary? And how deep is it in the spot you're at?
Is that the Maroochy river main bridge it sure looks like it
Nah it's not :) but if you have a similar bridge near you that looks like that then I reckon you should try and fish it!!
