May I make a suggestion. If you decide to come back to the midwest, I'd rent a u-haul 'one way'. Bring with you the things you've spent money on and built or use regularly instead of just what fits into your vehicle. You'll just have to buy again. It just seems like you've made some great pieces and purchased so much, it must be cheaper to save as opposed to replace. Also if you move back home, you will have a plethora of friends and family you can use to restyle and revamp their spaces. This way you won't run out of areas to diy and decide to move again.
We are a lot like you, torn between our home state and California but after living there on and off again, we ultimately decided to come back home. Being close to family and friends is worth more than beautiful sunsets at the beach. Priorities really change when you start having children. We also realized that it’s cheaper to travel to California every year and visit all our favorite spots than it is to live there and never have money to travel 😂
Whatever you decide will be right for you, none of us are privy to your personal life. Social media emboldens people to feel they have a say in what you do, its a definite downside to content creation. Thank you for sharing all your diys with us, have been enjoying your journey from the wedding & apartment diys to now.😊
Not terribly organized by nature, but married an ex Navy officer. OMG- learned FAST! An organized space saves time, money and mental chaos, but it took awhile to get there.
Great tips! How I store bedlinens: fold pillowslip in half with opening towards you, fold other pillows lips and place in opening, fold sheet and then duvet and place in opening, place bundle on shelf with opening towards wall. I just grab a neat bundle whenever I remake my bed. Plus the bundling system saves space and looks cool! Keep making the videos Tina! 🥰
I am super happy to learn that you guys found a system that worked for you!! My husband and I used to pile clothes up in our bedroom until one day (years ago) we made a decision to start putting things away ( including laundry). We're coming up on 36 years together, and we have stuck with our plan. (It seems like we keep each other accountable!). It was after we had our kids, and we needed to be more efficient!!
Omg I never thought of using museum wax in drawers like that!!! I realize this was not the main point of the video 😂🤣 but seriously I think you just changed my life 🙌😂 I’d love to see whatever you feel comfortable sharing about the house tours!
Rumor has it...if ya haven't worn it in 3-6mo (seasonal, dress up and formal wear excluded)....consider donating it..I do a yearly swap with my bestie three states away..it's like a free shopping spree, as we have similar fashion tastes, and wear the same size..we agree to donate what we didn't want...perfect solution for us..what a hoot😁
I’m up against a family member who has always been a shopaholic in every aspect of life. I try to be more organized with all the things brought into the house 😮but it’s hard. I’m the type that if it’s not serving a daily purpose get rid of it. But alas 😢it’s not my stuff so I just deal with it lol. Anyway Tina you are such an inspiration ❤. Thank you for sharing your life with me and all your fans.
Please find out if Salem has a family, I think she loves and adopted you 🥺💖 I'm here heartbroken thinking you could move without her... Cats are awesome, cats are home 🥰
First rule of organizing is actually getting rid of things you don't use, also using bins you can see into helps. coordinate your clothes by type and then hang by color.
Everything looks great!! I hate starting the organization process but I am always so glad that I did it by the end 😂 Thank you for sharing so many great ideas!
Niiiice! Job! Tina!! Organization without the correct storage organizers is a pain. As many had said, and you as well, finding the right system for you. My challenge is, I organize, then in a few months, I re-organize because that other way is not as practical or useful. It's like moving into a new home; you organizedl your dishes, pots/pans, pantry (if you are lucky to have one) only to realize that is not going to work, that's how I am - at least lately. Certain items have a place - always - others, not so much! Anywho .... Have a blessed day and a fab week!!! xxoo
Not anyone's business but you seemed more content and happy in Chicago. At least thats the vibe I got from the videos. And you said we are looking back Home, that answers your question.
Please come back to Chicago!! Take nice long vacations to S California if you crave that climate; but home/family is so important. I live in the Midwest and my grandchildren are in Alaska. I see them twice a year, but it's not the same as scooping them up for a weekend at Grandma's every month.
I’d consider getting a cottage on Lake Michigan for you guys. Then you can come back for the best part of the year in Chicago (summers) and then come back to SoCal for the rest of the year. Best of both worlds! ❤
I don’t remember how long ago it was but your first video that I saw was a macramé maybe they were coasters do you remember how long ago that was? Maybe it wasn’t very long ago but that’s how long I’ve been watching Love stuff.
One thing that helps is that I immediately fold or hang up my clothes after they're washed. Otherwise, it becomes overwhelming and that's how procrastination starts for me. I just do not allow things to pile. It doesn't matter what organization system people have. If they don't follow through, then there's no point. I think it begins with changing your mindset.
I always think if you need to put hangers on other hangers, there might just be a few too many clothes in the wardrobe 😅 Personally, I am also not a fan of buying new plastic containers to put pacaked food in, which already came in a container in the first place
As said you are thinking of having your own home that's a great idea especially while both couple are young in age having a rental at all times isn't a great idea if can do so that's a better decision good luck 🤞.
One thing to keep in mind, if you decide to have children one day, it would be nice to be close to your family, they could be a great help, just saying from experience. Good luck on wherever you land.

Wouldn’t matter what organisation I have my husband of 45 years will never put anything back where he got it from! As I’m English the USA buying system is so different from ours so whole process fascinating
You might enjoy working with 18 and up people who have aged out of foster care. Teach them to have visions and dreams about their homes...walk then through a few pieces of adapting or build...??
Go back home. Nothing beats family and sometimes we don't always have them as long as we want. And I'm sure they miss you too. Calif is such a mess right now and so expensive. I was born and raised there but left in 1997 because of the crime and violence. Things have certainly gone downhill from there. Just my 2 cents.
I don't get how you willingly moove so much. If I had the money to buy a nice place to settle down, I wouldn't want to leave. I also don't see the appeal of furniture a whole house just to throw it all awey just to start acumilating stuff all ower again. Seems like quite a wastefull lifestyle to me

Thank you for showing your clutter! It’s easy to think your apt is always perfect given your videos so seeing this is a huge relief for me and my mess
Hi Tina, since you asked for requests on content, I’d like to know what’s happening with Studio Calme. Thank you!
I was thinking the same.
Not terribly organized by nature, but married an ex Navy officer. OMG- learned FAST! An organized space saves time, money and mental chaos, but it took awhile to get there.
I need me a navy officer 😂
Not the crazy closet 😂 honestly, THANK YOU! Feels like we can finally breathe again and it came out amazing, love ❤
I love organizing. There is so much out there for any size space. Love the collapsible tray for the junk drawer.

How long did your peel and stick cabinet covers last? The bottom was green only 5 months ago, did you remove right after?
Yessssss well done on the organizing!!!! And thanks for sharing the big life update!!!

Cats are a waste of space
I loveeee that you always keep it so real. This was fun to watch ☺🦋
Wow ! Your walk-in didn’t look that bad before but now it looks beautiful & so organized ! Love it !

"Brian is the one who does laundry in our house" can Brian be the one to do laundry in my house too? 😭 I hate doing laundry
Haha!!! I feel lucky he does it, it's one of my least fave chores 😂
Consider me INFLUENCED for that tiered drawer organizer!
Well done, looks amazing
Sooooooooooo many great ideas in this video ❤
I’m in Orange County! Yorba Linda is a wonderful place to live in, I hope you stay! Think about all the beaches😊
I used hanging canvas shelves and put each purse in own slot. So easy and all your purses are on display just hanging on the rod
I definitely want to try the purse organizers mine are EVERYWHERE 😂😂
I have a small bedroom and tiny closet for me and my husband.
hooray for working systems!

Watch Marie Kondo. She's a master organizing.
Out of sight out of mind isn't good. Better to limit yourself and reduce to fit. You will feel better

So if you’re torn between the two, move to Texas! Better market and cost of living, closer to ocean but close enough to both states to visit!

Your closet gave me so much anxiety... Because it was more organized than mine!!
Wouldn’t matter what organisation I have my husband of 45 years will never put anything back where he got it from! As I’m English the USA buying system is so different from ours so whole process fascinating
Step One: Weed out. No two people need that many clothes. Donate what you can. Throw the rest away. Step Two: Organize the closet.
What will happen to Salem if you move?!? You should find out if she has owners, if not, take her with you! 😥
