Hi, when carrying out the regression analysis (HRA) is there a way to regress for example, F (Ford motor company) against the automobile industry as opposed to the SPX index? Thanks in advance
Very cool thanks for the reply. AS a paper only trader for the past couple years, mostly since I have no money but also since I'm new - I find the 2 main alternatvies to BBT (just thought I'd give my own opinion in case it's of any value to yourself or others) 1) Money.net is not so great... the only good feature of it imho is the live squawk, but you can get better news squawks, audio feeds of people reading headlines basically - from tradethenews. 2) Reuters Eikon - wayyy better than the former, and in some ways comperable to BBT. Not as good, but if you try it out, or want to rather, you can for free just look up Metastock Xenith Free Trial and find a link which uses a promo code that still works. You'll get I think a free 30 days - and enter a credit/debit card ideally that isn't attached to any funds - like one you don't use anymore but that's still valid and not expired, for example and it'll work. You can even get multiple free trials, if you wish. Thanks.
Just a doubt so for example there is a on Royal Bank of Scotland which is covered in scotish language for tv and now Bloomberg put up its news recording too on the terminal but how someone who don't scotish language understand that recording of news Please guide
With the way the internet is in 2020 is this really worth it? Is there info available that is not available online? I am not knocking it I am seriously considering it and I cannot afford to lose on a $3500 monthly investment such as this.
Yh I agree. It's basically paying for a simple interface. But charting you can get for free and news and financial data you can just use free google search bar instead of the 24k a year Bloomberg searchbar
Nowadays I think its more a matter of timesaving. If youre constantly active analyzing the markets this looks very useful. There are actually cool bonus features such as commodities section (watching over the supplies all over the world in realtime) and other things. Its a private jet basically. You can do the work quicker and more comfortably, but it comes with a price.
THIS IS A POWERFUL TOOL THAT YOU MUST PAY FOR AND SUBSCRIBE THROUGH BLOOMBERG. WELL, THAT IS GOOD TO KNOW.....SO, DO YOU WANT TO PAY 12000 A YEAR FOR ACCESS TO MARKET. NOT REALLY.
i lost my hairline learning about the stock market and staring at graphs all those days from opening to well after close, wouldnt recommend, in the span of 2 weeks
WHY DIDN'T THE TEACHER COME OUT AND SAY - THIS IS A SUBSCRIPTION BASED INFORMATION PORTAL OFFERED BY BLOOMBERG AND COST MONEY AND SHOULD HAVE TOLD US THAT IT WOULD COST YOU 12000 OR MORE OR LESS IF YOU ARE A RETAIL CLIENT. REALLY, IF IT COSTS THAT MUCH IT IS NOT WORTH IT. IT IS OLD AND ARCHAIC
no shit mate, *this ain't for personal use at all* , its for those in economics and finance field, especially those in Wall Street. Absolutely not for an average person, either use it for learning or for wall street job And they don't pay it, the institution or company pays it *for* them
Excellent introduction! Thank you! Waiting for more videos about Bloomberg from you.
Would have been better if the camera remained on the screen and Mr Broby just talks over it
yeah but he frequently points at the keyboard
agree 100, I'm getting more annoyed the more I watch

$24000 per annum for the Bloomberg terminal 🤯🤯
You would have thought they would have improved the interface. It looks like teletext
You serious bro? Wow!
Yup and 300,000 subscriptions still. That's why Bloomberg has $60 billion
That's what government imposed central bank financial monopoly enforced through criminal "legislators" will buy you!

Why is this software still looking like its from 1995?
Everytime Bloomberg has tried to change it traders make a big fuss. So they slowly make changes while keeping the same ui/ux
Because all the traders who can afford it are too old.
Boomers
no need to learn Bloomberg. just press F1 twice and ask the support do it for you
How do you find the master cusip attached to your birth certificate and social security trust

I kind of want to see the 1990s version demonstrated.
wait, this isnt the 1990s version?
Same
would be great if there was a close-up shot on the login code!
Seems BBT monitors have a nice wide viewing angle range. If the camera is positioned fairly far to one side of it, it still is very visible
Yep, it's because the monitors are IPS panels, which have a wider viewing angle than the traditional TN panels you see in lower-end monitors.
