I was intimidated with the idea of getting on BART in a new city like SF, but thankfully my friend showed me how to get a clipper card, and what platform to get on to head straight to SFO from the Embarcadero Station. For anyone second guessing how easy, fast and effective BART is, take it from someone who never tries public transport in a new city, it's easier than you think, and it's reliablie, trust me!
Even easier if you're arriving on an international flight. Exit customs follow the signs, go up an escalator and you're almost right at the BART station.
