Thank you for all the great Bible unboxing and reviews this year. You have a lot of great choices on your list, and the Humble Lamb HIStory Bible and Lockman NASB 2020 Prime Editions are definitely on my list. I need to get a good NASB 2020 since I've come to like the translation so much.
If I were going to get an LSB, I'd get the Giant Print Reference. Its thinner than the Inside Column Reference, and as you said, they've done a great job with the typesetting.

This has been an eye-opening year for me with Bibles thanks to your videos. It was probably a review of the older Maclaren that led me to watch more videos, discover all the cool NKJVs that have been made since my last purchase in 2011, and buy dozens of new Bibles in several translations this year. I don't go anywhere without a physical Bible now. Happy to see the MacThinline on this list.

This is great Tim. Enjoy seeing the Bible rebinds. Am grateful for your sharing your topbibles. I've not bought a premium Bible yet I definitely love Humble Lamb were my favorite I wasn't aware other premiums had the apocrypha which I wish HL had. Hard to decide from all the wonderful ones you've shared. My hope is to get one by next Christmas.

My favorite Bible this year was the ESV single column true tone reference. It’s an 8pt font, it’s small but not too small. It fits perfectly in my hand and I’m reaching for it every day.

Thanks for this review! I can’t pick a favorite! I love them all! although I will say I used the new Schuyler NLT Quientel a lot this year! Then I got those crazy colored ESV’s from Allen, the and I love them too
Great recap of the year Tim.
My list is similar but number one for me was the NLT Quentel in Desert Calfskin. I find myself picking it up to read it and soak it in (which as a Pastor, I find myself doing less than less). It has helped reinvigorate my love for reading his word.
Second would be the new lockman Prime edition. NASB 95
Third is a tie between LSB double column or the LSB GPR

All these Bibles are great ! My problem is I want them all. I did purchase a Humble Lamb History Bible after watching your unboxing review and it is very special. I think my next purchase will be one of the large print or the Chronological Bible. Happy New Year to you and Becca !

Great list, Tim. Personal fave is your №2, a gift from my son. Don't like the paper endsheets. My son and I reinforce that with book tape. That should hold until wecan save up for rebinds. Happy New year to you, Becca and Louie.
One of my favorite Bibles this year is the Schuyler and Crossway partnership to create the ESV Heirloom Heritage in three different colors - Prussian blue, Siena red, and olive green. The Crossway ESV Heirloom Heritage in Wellington (similar to Horween) is also pretty awesome. 😊

Thanks Tim! Good stuff all year. I was waiting to buy a new one until after the 12 Days of Christmas giveaway (shucks :( ) and then to see your top 10 list. But the Stridon (#1) calfskin is not available at their website in that color. They still show the one that is listed as "out of stock" but they don't show this one. I was pretty bummed. But great work and have a blessed new year!

Yep. The LSB Giant Print Reference has been my favorite this year. It’s just perfect for relaxed reading and praying. It’s one of the few Bibles I have that I’ve decided NOT to mark up with notes, underlines and circles. It’s clean and clear.
I picked up an Omega navy goatskin for myself for Christmas. Got it yesterday and I love it. Great for just reading!
My favorite Bible I got this year is the handy size lsb in the patina calfskin. So nice!

I've ordered the KJV Lion in the new Gray color to be delivered in March. Looking forward to that as well as any other new offerings from Humble Lamb in 2024.
Thanks Tim. Great list. I picked up the ESV Chronological Bible after watching your review on it. I love this and agree that I love that they didn't put dates on it. I am doing my daily Studying in another Bible but after that it is nice just to pick up and read the Bible Chronologically every day...First time reading a Chronological BIble in all my years of Bible study. Nice way to just sit down and relax with the Bible.
Edit: Also got your #3 pick this year because I didnt have a LSB version.
@@Yesica1993 The font is 9-point text. If you like study Bibles I wouldn't consider this a study Bible. I love my ESV large print study Bible also, but I wouldn't give it up for this one. I have been a Christian for almost 50 years and I just love sitting down and reading this Chronological ESV Bible for some reason I always read through the Bible every year usually on my app but I just like this one. Don't know how to explain it. I still study everyday but also sit down and read this day by day. Like Tim said I like the idea that they didn't put dates on the ready plan is just broken down as numbered 1 thru 365. I find the 9 point if for me to read and the few notes and text are the same.
The blue letter thinline Maclaren, your №2, is my №1, since it was a gift from my №1 son, Jim - №1 chronologically, only; I've loved Jim 4 years longer than his brother Sam, but never more.
Anyway, that Maclaren is an amazing, beautiful Bible for the price, but . . . I do NOT like the paper liners AT ALL. When I mentioned that in the comments on a Tim №1 video - Tim Nickels, №1 chronologically, only; I love all 3 of you equally - he offered the brilliant idea of reinforcing with book tape, which Jim and I have both done to great effect. Now hopefully they will hold together until we've saved up for our inevitable rebinds. When that day finally arrives, I'll consult with the 3 Tims for recommendations.
Speaking of informed opinions, I am really looking forward to your book this year. If there were to be a signed and numbered limited edition (Smyth-sewn, nice paper, maybe special cover art - designed by beautiful Becca? - just cloth-over-boards HC with dustcove), I would welcome it into my Collectibles bookcase. Pipe dream, but I know you can seeit in your mind's eye..

I have the desert camel in ESV wide margin. I have been looking for the Stridon. If they come back out with one I will definitely be buying it.

I knew you'd pick the Schuyler ESV Stridon.... but you know, Tim.... you had me hooked on the tan FY version which was sold out before I could place an order. But....but.... but.... you sold me on the Stridon, so I got there to order a Stridon in black goatskin ESV just before they pulled it off their web site, too. (Technically... it was a Christmas gift from my family, but I handled the transaction myself.) I might have the last one Evangelical Bibles shipped before Christmas. It's fantastic. Thanks so much for all you do here. I can't imagine a better bible for my needs.

Got the London Red NASB for Christmas from Humble lamb and it’s gorgeous. I love it. I also got the Crossway Heirloom Heritage in Sienna and it’s a beauty too!

My favorite was the Thomas Nelson NKJV, Journal the Word Bible Large Print, Bonded Leather, Brown, Red Letter Bible that I take to church each week.
It allows me space to write next to the text and the print is an easy to size for me. I also love the feel of the cover and how it opens easily and stays open.
My go to is the Schuyler Wide Margin Quentel ESV in desert camel calfskin. It’s sooo amazing! Large, but so enjoyable!
I don’t think it’s new, but I dove into the world of premium bibles this year and found the NIV Heritage Premier Single Column. The NIV is my comfort version and I really enjoy the Heritage single column as a good reading Bible. I will likely have it rebound in the future so it’s exactly what I want (brown leather, since it only comes in black), but I haven’t been able to bring myself to pull a perfectly good cover off of it yet 😅
Thank you for all of these videos and the work you put into them! Maybe one day Schuyler will release an NIV single column. That would be my absolute favorite!
Yes! I’ve been waiting for Schuyler to release a NIV in SCR format. 👏 Sadly it won’t come for many years at this stage due to other translations being more popular in the Premium Bible world (vs the real world where it’s the most popular translation sold). 😑

My favorite has to be the CSB Large Print Notetakers Bible in the 2020 text. Holman really did a great job with it.
I bought a CSB Life Counsel Bible on a whim and discovered I liked the translation. I am going to look up the CSB Large Print Notetakers Bible.
I'm very partial to the LSB, and before that to the 95 NASB for over 20 years. I'm very partial to a double column verse format. So my favorite Bible since I switched translations a couple of years ago is my imitation leather LSB compact that I got in late November, and began reading in early December. It doesn't have gilded page edges, and it lacks references (which I prefer in a center column), but it's the closest I can get, and it's such a joy to be back in the double columns. 🙂📖
I'll tell you what, though - even though each of them isn't my style in one way or another, your favorites are some amazing Bibles.
100% Schuyler Strident Desert Camel. It’s almost as nice as the Black Pearl!

Schuyler Quentel NLT in Black Pearl calfskin. It is my first premium Bible and a gift from my daughter - therefore, will always be my #1!
A few months ago, after watching one of your videos, I bought an ESV Stridon Black Pearl. Today I do not see it listed in the Evangelical Bible website. If it is no longer available, I would say that I got that Bible thanks to you!
Got the ESV Chronological and is what I will be reading starting next year. Also got the Maclaren in Black leather which is my church Bible.

Hey Tim, I agree,I was very impressed with the LSB Giant Print goatskin, in fact, I keep asking myself do I like it better than my Quentel. It really does not feel like a giant print in your hands or when reading it……..I was surprised that your favorite Bible was not the ESV Heritage in Prussia Blue Calfskin you really seem to like the unique look and feel in your review. I love my NASB Stridon , the format gives you a new fresh look, but I would have to agree with Tim Nichols, Lockman’s version has a better layout with litter larger margin and a nicer 32 GSM paper, but it you cannot beat the Schuyler Camel Desert calfskin eather cover.

I got the ESV Stridon in Tuscany and it is my favorite Bible!!!! The Tuscany is beautiful and the Stridon is my favorite layout to read and the ESV is my favorite translation. If only the words of Christ were in red it would be my The One.
Aha! Very exciting about the Crossway Heritage non-premium edition!!! But the Humble Lamb HIStory has my attention as I'm just starting to wonder about using a NASB for my reading in 2024!

Aw man, for me, it's the Nasb 95 SCR, LSB ICR, Striden Desert Camel, and that rebind by Reformed and Rebind. Some beautiful bibles there.

The NASB Humble Lamb is my favorite Bible of 2023! Love my Bible, and so does everyone else, unique and beautiful design. Perfect of my study type.
Of the Bibles I purchased this year, I have to give the Top Nod to my first Schuyler -- which is the ESV Stridon (in Full Yapp Desert Camel Calfskin, no less!). But I have to mention another Bible that, IIRC, came out earlier this year (or late last) that, if I didn't get it, I probably wouldn't have purchased that ESV Stridon in the first place: Lockman's NASB 2020 Wide Margin Reference Bible, also known as "the poor man's Stridon."

You should review the Encountering God Study Bible from Thomas Nelson and the Blackaby Ministries. My professor and advisor is a Blackaby and contributed to it!
I had forgotten that you had a Cameo. So I have a request... Can you show a side by side comparison between the PSQ and the Cameo (It doesn't have to be on a full video, maybe just something on Instagram, or a short)? I can't decide whether or not I want a PSQ and the readability is the paramount issue. I know the 8-point font size on the Cameo is very readable because it's so bold and it reads larger...I love it. If the PSQ is similar, then I'm going to get one in the CSB. But no one has done a comparison of them to my knowledge.

I’m raising my children with strength and courage, despite the challenges I face with my sons being autistic. Lord as I struggle to pay my rent every month and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. My favorite Bible of the ones I do own is Zondervan's 2005 NIV Archaeological Study Bible. It is a single column, side reference with bottom-of-the-page study notes. It includes archeological, historical, and cultural background information plus many illustrations and photographs that provide context which helps me better understand what I am reading.
I am really digging my humble lamb NASB 2020 HIStory bible my chunky little hero! It has been one i reach for a lot since I got it even if it is not the one i am reading through. It is so fun! Thanks to the @humblelamb for my fun and amazing fox orange bible!
NASB Humble lamb is my favourite from this list, and Schuylers are my favourite even if I never had them 😂.
I wish more publishers would use the same insides of their premiums but with a more affordable cover. I think only the LSB has that option. I really like the ‘premium bible paper’ over the cover. 😃
