- This is a full playthrough, with an emphasis on the story, of Ace Combat: Joint Assault for the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) complete with the all the cutscenes, briefings, debriefings and gameplay from beginning to end.
This is the first game in the Ace Combat franchise to be set in the real world, rather than the fictional one of 'Strangereal', and serves as a forerunner to the upcoming Assault Horizon.

Theis in-game mission just became Flight Simulator X all over again, everyone on multiplayer servers used to fucking fly this damn plane and call themselves Air Force One XD

A 747 through a canyon isn't beyond the realms of possibility.
An RAF crew once flew an Avro Vulcan through the Grand Canyon.
Yeah but that plane wasn't under fire from gunboats, helicopters and enemy fighters
Zero G was fun but not as intense as the Final Mission in the "International" AC3. Chandelier was in 6 (still wish they'd bring that to PSN) but Air Force Delta Strike or a similar title did the dive into the rail gun barrel several years earlier. at least in that title, it was fairly easy to avoid incoming shots.

This has got to be the most absurd mission in the Ace Combat series
i guess you haven't played the Electrosphere mission in AC3? this is tame compared to that psychedelic digital insanity. don't keep an eye on your altitude, you could inadvertently slam into the ground/water.
@@epyon302 I don't think he means absurd as in insane but more how absolutely stupid it is. Having an ace fighter pilot hurl your massive Boeing 747 through a tight canyon with plenty of enemies itching to decorate your aircraft with bullet holes.
This mission is actually fun in multiplayer XD

@98172403 It feels pretty slow compared to anything else in the game, but that's kind of the fun and challenge of it, since it turns like a house. Have to make liberal use of the rudder to keep from yawing into the canyon walls.

It's this mission that makes me wish I still had my PSP. I've got a preference for heavy aircraft. I can't wait for the Bomber mission(s?) in Assault Horizon.

Oh? Legacy is just a remake of Ace Combat 2 after all. Found it pretty decent for a handheld.
Certainly found it more comfortable to play with the 3DS' circle pad compared to the PSP's analogue nub.
