I have been to Perch Rock about 3 times in the last few weeks. My mark has been slightly more into the river by the rock groyne but despite baiting up in an identical manner as you plus a rig for flatties, I have yet to have a nibble! I notice your mark is slightly further out into the estuary. Do you find that this is an important difference? Secondly, I notice you are pulling in rays but what has happened to the plaice and dabs that used to exist in such very large numbers when I was a lad? I know your bait size is too big for such fish but I would love to hear your opinion. Thanks Frank.
Thanks for watching Frank. I prefer to fish towards the river mouth as it is cleaner ground and a productive area for the rays which I am usually targeting at the mark. Plaice and dabs are still there but I find tend to be more seasonal at Perch in the winter and spring. Occasionally I do hook them but more by accident on big baits intended for larger species. 🎣😊
Nice session rich some cracking rays mate well done
Thanks Jamie...despite the weed was an enjoyable one.
Great vid lads!!
Thanks for watching Ian 🎣😎
