Our Celebrity cruise to Bermuda in July was canceled on May 20th. We received out full refund in 14 days, which was amazing. Then last week I thought about out Travel Insurance. I contacted the agency, provided them with proof it was canceled and will be receiving the full refund for the insurance. So don't forget about that refund when you cruise is canceled. Fabulous Gary and you are spot on with the timing advice. As soon as the deployments are announced our office grabs group space on various sailings. That way the initial launch pricing is protected. Anyone who books into the group and pays the deposit can sit and smugly watch the public price climb while theirs doesn’t. Various perks and goodies come along with groups too. If booking the cruise close to sailing though often there are limited perks, just good pricing. When I was a new agent my manager described WAVE season to me as a two-month Black Friday sale.

I had to deal with before but I so not see the big deal with changing the name and being charged because the person originally going with you is not able to cruise when something comes up. All I am doing is simply changing the name of the passenger not changing my actual booking or anything just a simple name change and keeping everything else the same.

Our 21 day Antarctica cruise in 2007, 24 day Mediterranean cruse in 2010 were maiden voyages..........and were very inexpensive.........you are correct...........but, the itineraries don't exist anymore...............

Talking of sea days. I was looking at both my usual cruise lines, P&O and Princess for a Baltic cruise. Both 14 nights but with quite a few sea days. As I am a solo traveller I would be paying over £2000 for P&O and £3000 for Princess cruise only from Southampton. A 9 night from Copenhagen with NCL including drinks & 3 speciality dining is costing me £1750 in a studio cabin. Even with a flight and a few nights in Copenhagen I am still better off. Prefer extra nights in Copenhagen than on board! Learning to cast my net as it were!

I repeatedly heard about the book ASAP and WAVE recommendation. But is that really true for solo passengers wanting a lower single supplement? My understanding was that there are few upfront solo deals. Your best shot was to wait until after the 75/90/120(NCL) day final deposit was due; one way they move overstock was to reduce the single supplement. I was very interested in your live stream Antartica discussion. I don't know if it is a mainstream enough topic, but I would appreciate you discussing the nuance of booking solo travel. Should it be done far in advance or last minute or what are your tips.

Exellent, informative and interesting. Well done that man! The Queen Mother salutes you. Question. What's your 3 favourite cruise ships for food? Excluding those ships for the filthy rich, eg multimillionaires

Middle of March is before hurricane season. October is still on the tail end of it.

    在外地訂遊輪,其價錢完全被代理掌控,毫無特價。除了中國大陸,因被不同商家承包,反而可拿到超優惠。

Tony C., I don’t speak or read the language the original comment was written in either, but, there is no need to be rude! Gary’s vlog is obviously international in reach. If you don’t understand the language why don’t you just bypass the comment?

Here's the translation: "When booking cruises abroad, the price is completely controlled by the agent, and there are no special prices. In addition to mainland China, because they are contracted by different merchants, they can get super discounts."
