- The arms-fort of Orca, said to be so powerful it would destroy the way of life on earth. However is that really true or is it more lies from the league?
This is the history of the arms forts called Jet.
Also a note: For some reason called the exhaust of the jet a fan heat extractor, my apologies i am going to blame my running nose and cold medicine.
Just wanted to say I really appreciate what you're doing man, it ain't east for us AC fans so it's great to see content made about it in present day, let alone lore videos as digestible and informative as these, keep up the good work

I gotta say:
this Armsforts firepower looks pretty identical to the moonlight Blade manufactured by Rayleonard, especially when its Blue Color gives that familiarity that of Anjous blade color, signifying how old this Arms fort is.
Though it's classified as an ORCA brand type of machine (with ties to Omer Building it)
this could also potentially be one of Rayleonards early inventions nexts to the Mutant core.
I mean Omer took most of what Rayleonard had, so why not.

Rayleonard experimented with other blade technology too, like the Kojima blade. So this being a Rayleonard invention is very plausible.
@@andrewrogers3067 the idea kinda hit me there when you look closely at the arms forts structure and weaponry.
for example: Motherwills Manufacturer - BFF, has 047AN04001 Stabilizers used as plateings on it's legs. while the cannons maybe based on the 049ANSC Sniper cannon. And its missile hatches have an identical design to the 063ANPM. (I'm sorry if Im using their actual names, it would be alot easier to go to the wiki page and look up these parts, and you'll see what i mean lol)
The interior union is an interesting one as well, if observing from a high distance, you'll notice Stigros blade length and widen range is that of the LB-ELTANIN blade (I mean it's the only Interior union blade they've built) and since the company is also known for making Non-lock missiles (Technically its separate factor: Leonemeccanica), Stigros missiles follow the same concept. in fact, if you shoot rockets up in the air, or other missiles, Stigros missiles actually follow them just like what AS missiles would do.
Eclipse is essentially a giant Holofernes Head from OMER using Lahire type Stabilizers for wings.
the land crabs Basic structure (Particularly the legs) has the same plating and design of the Sunshine Model. Both Modern, Old and new.
This also follows up to the Sol Dios incarnation, as the ORBS are identical to the ARGYROS core (or maybe the other way around.)
And the Answerers Wings are based off of the latona Stabilizers. I'de like to think that the Missile stations are based off of the MP-O901 PM missile Omer makes, but strangely the core seems like something Akvavit would make (but thats just my hard guess)
The rest I'm still looking into. either im missing something, or the remaining AFs were built somewhat more unique than how companies manufacture their parts to have an identity.

A Rayleonard or Rayleonard/Omer development is probably the only satisfactory explanation. A 50-ish tall metal behemoth is really difficult to make in secret. I've always thought of them as the Arms Fort model Ass Pull, since they come out of nowhere.

That cooling fan is a incredibly bad design flaw for a arms fort. They have a weak point that serves as a safe spot for any machine that wants to fly into it. Why on earth wouldn't they line that fan hole with guns is beyond anyones ablity to reason. Maybe these were the prototypes and the later ones where to have no weak point. Cause we can see that the smaller versions are lacking the weak point I believe.
Honestly pretty reasonable to have imo. These easily cut thru MT and Normals and don't require AMS compatibility. On strategic level means you don't have to commit next for small fry's but you still have a army workhorse that still one up everything beside next and arms fort.
Hmm the day we see arms-fort fight each. That would have been a cool level.

I find it funny how most of the arms fort videos are:

Strayed: *Insert doom slayer* WHO DECIDED THAT?
Which is a shame but i think ac6 may give us the true feel of armsfort like machines of war.

Yes i was learning my audio back then and i admit i still mess up. However i am glad to hear your enjoying the lore, there is so much and yet at the same time so little for some characters and places.

When I think of the relationship of Nexts and Arms Forts, these are what most come to mind. They have some incredible firepower and armor, and can probably mow down a lot of their competition. They even designed them in a way that they can mass produce and deploy multiple, thus covering each other to minimize weaknesses. Then a Next speeds on in, immediately identifies their weakness and goes straight to it, pops them all one by one, showing how trivial they are compared to a Next.
The thorn in the side of the corporations they created, i can only imagine the disgust the poor person ion charge felt when they had to report one feel to a next. The corporations created nexts to take over the world and now are the rea; threat to thier rule. Kinda cool.

Hmm not my best preview I admit. However it was that or me saying armored core lore Karasawa.

These were ridiculously stupid AF's.
Like thier weak point is so obvious, it wouldn't even take a next to the story them just a regular bomber plane would obliterate these things considering they have no top armor
I won't lie, i have never flown a bomber plane so i can't comment. Although i do know is that some bombers missed large battleships.
The laser works similar to Evangelion angel Ramiel
It seems this AF are meant purely for defensive as if it was a mobile Laser CIWS, perfectly suitable for giving protection to ground forces from long range weapon like missile and artillery.
I will have to take your word on the Evangelion comparison as i have never seen the anime. Still i like the idea for the smaller jets being portable close in weapons system for the atria's like we see in the mission Defend Arteria Cranium as you say good protection for ground troops and difficult to take out.
However i do think the larger Jets where more offensive arms-forts as with that much power they could take out nexts, they were orca's answer to league next and if a lynx did not know about it weakness it fair to say these would have cleaned house be nexts, normals and mts would stand no chance. But i love these thoughts as it allows for discussions and my knowledge on military weapons is very limited.
Still i think what i would have like to know is what these fort were doing in the old Clark area? Where they being transported, where they moving to attack? Was this a trap set up by omer science as a way to cut the forces of other corporations under the guise of stopping this terrible threat to thier rule?

Is your schedule changing? For a while you uploaded around 4:00PM on Saturdays, but the last couple videos were on Sunday.
Next video is on the Karasawa, I recognize that weapon anywhere, there's quite a bit of lore on it in the 5th generation version so I may want to send you that.
I can't wait for you to tackle the other companies in the series.
Sadly yes, i have been working overtime due to covid in my work place. But i hope to get back on track asap and i think we'll be moving onto other companies soon. I've covered a lot of AC4 and ACFA, so I'll have to think hard of where i would like to go next.
Plus there are some videos i would like done before i move on.

This was a really good one your videos are really really well put together and a lot of us in the armored core community really appreciate you making these awesome videos at least I know I do I would also like to add you're still not safe if you fly into that vent on the top I've been hit several times while in there and killed even by these things and their long range laser blades

@@armoredcorelore I primarily use biped builds with pile drivers to take down these things and yeah just a single one if you fly into the vent on the top of it sometimes the blades that extend out to hit you will fold in and hit you even if you're standing in that vent well at least it's happened to me

They are very forgettable Wildarms, you have one mission where they are the targets of the mission and smaller versions show up in the hard mode of the fight with Shinkai and Maximillian.
That Karasawa sound at the end is a nice touch.
