Build quality depends on frame and chassis not outer layers. Mostly expensive cars have strong frame and chassis but light outer body, which makes them go fast. But if technology is poor then you build strong frame and chassis with heavy outer body, bringing down the vehicle pulling capacity.
Ya polo and Tiago are among the best in this category . My friend has a polo . Scorpio hit from behind in high speed and flipped on the road and Everyone in polo survived without injury .
do not belive in this video - lot of misinformation there most of these cars are not india specific so these ratings do not apply on cars you buy tata tiago did not get 5 star rating, it was never tested by any agency, the test you see here in video is in house tatas , which is not applicable
Safety is not priority for Indians they prefer other features and mileage instead of safety features.Indian Venue based on santro platform price start in India at 6.5 lakh US version based on Verna platform start at 13 lakh.In usa snd Europe car can't be sold without safety features.
Santro 2 star safety rating unstable structure same apply to Indian Grand i10. Indian Venue is also based on santro k1 platform while international Venue is based on k2 Hyundai verna platform do not expect safety from Indian version.

These crash tests of suzuki are done using models they used to export and they are not selling the same in india.... half of the videos are of euro ncap...
Video is saying that crash test performed by Tata. Watch video carefully. Also for every other vehicle video there is NCAP logo. But it is not in Tiago Logo.
Most of the crash test are from Euro ncap which are not made for India so don't get excited if your tin boxes gets good rating it's European version and Indian version scores 0

These are almost all euro ncap test. Cars sold in india are of different quality standard. Refer to global ncap scores. Vw polo isnt event the same generation sold in india as on april 2021, we get the last gen platform, although swift and tiago tests are accurate. Please notify the viewers of this exception in other cars test results.
One small reminder. All the tests done by Euro Ncap are on European versions of these cars. In India the rating of most of the cars is much lower. An exception is the VW Polo or the Honda Jazz
All crash test reports of cars must be done at a minimum speed of 84 kph not below that because when 2 cars crash the combined speed of both cars are generally above 60 kph of each car .
Crash test safety ratings are an indicator and a part of overall safe -driving which has to include good driving behavior and observing speed limits. The forces generated at higher speeds are much greater and you forget the most important thing , the human body! Even if you design a strong body shell for much higher speeds ( not practical for nor consumer requirements and needs) , the human body can only tolerate a limited amount of deceleration and G forces. So even if the car body shell stays intact , the human body, subjected to massive G forces and deceleration in a high speed crash will suffer massive internal injuries and hemorrhage. Formula cars and high speed sports cars have special body structures and restraining systems for absorbing such forces in high speed crashes. But they are very specialized and extremely expensive things that cannot be mass produced. So testing a car at higher speeds for safety rating for a normal consumer car is not practical or helpful.
