I cant believe you found Plantation! Issey Miyake (a man) recently died. His 1980's clothing designs were incredible, very complex in the pattern making for each piece designed. He also designed sewing patterns for Vogue for many years, some of them can sell for hundreds. Anyway, within his company, there are little subdivisions and Plantation is just one of them, Pleats Please is another.... I think there were around 8. I found 2 Plantation sets about 15 years ago because the shop didnt know what they had. I think I paid $6 each for 2 two piece sets. I also found one of his raincoats (the line name escapes me right now) in the mens department (it was womens) for $8 about 6 years ago. The stuff is still out there and its still so exciting when you find it! Congratulations, Ashley!!!!!
Congratulations Ashley! I am always amazed at your fashion knowledge. You make very good decisions based on your accumulated wisdom on brands, items within brands and how they are all selling currently. Plus you know how to do all the cleaning and repairs. AND you do returns! You are giving buyers a very fair experience! I'm learning so much from your videos and appreciate your generosity towards the rest of us re-sellers. It's incredibly nice that you are sharing your business tips with us. I wish you all the best for you and your family! P.S. I enjoy how well-rounded your videos are: taking us shopping; showing try-ons; adding up profit projections with T.J and interacting with your kids! Thank you for being you! Best of everything, Carol from Los Angeles.
Charlotte, thanks for the info about Miyake. I sew and have some old Vogue patterns of his. Maybe I should try selling them, because as much as I like the designs, I probably won't get around to making them.
Also, ISSEY MIYAKE is a guy (you pronounced correctly the first time ! He died a couple of years ago so older styles are worth more now. He did a lot of loose silhouettes and plisse (tiny pleats) as his collections were about movement! Fun runway shows! :)
OK. We got the trifecta of videos. 1. The quality of the Meta glasses was great. Even the sound. And when you used your phone to break the fourth wall and talk to us... Totally natural and super professional looking. (How long did/does the glasses last? And did you have any problems with storage space?) 2. You showed me brands I had never heard of. I mean, not too hard, I guess. But as you suggested, by exposing me to these brands, maybe my brain will remember and I will look something up and find a BILLION dollar shirt. (Don't worry, if I find a billion dollar shirt, I will tip you on whatnot.) 3. You got your treat at the end. Always fun to watch your eyes light up at the end. (Have you tried Coke Zero yet?)
I think you said “she” re: the Issay Miyaki (sic) dress designer and fyi, Miyaki-San is a man, and a world class, famous designer. Congrats on such a find!
Ashley thanks for taking us along ! I appreciate you!!! Very solid finds ! Riff cracks me up with the cut ins ! I really enjoy those cut ins ! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
Straight up…5 seconds into the glasses cam and I’m already super impressed Ashley!! Now I’m going back to watching this incredible 900.00 find of yours!!
Omg, glasses worked great!!! The angle is so much better than go pro. Keep using them! I don’t know why more vloggers don’t use them. Are they expensive?
You find the best stuff!! And OMG my mind is seriously blown right now with the cashmere fusing powder. 🤯 I love cashmere and I buy and sell it alot but I always find myself mending it. So a follow up on that would be Aaamazing
Love the video glasses! You’re probably too young to remember the show, Alias, where Sydney Bristowe (Jennifer Garner) was a spy. She had glasses like yours, but I think she had to touch the glasses (very discreetly) to take pictures. Yours are much better! We need details!
Great video! I learn a new brand of clothing or shoes each time I watch one of your videos. Thank you for all the reselling videos. The videos are so helpful and informative!
Ashley, Fixing holes in Cashmere, Yes I've done in coats...even without the fuse it powder, I make up my own but the powder might be best. However I am sure there are you tube vids about this already out there if you don't get around to adding it. It's not that hard, hardest part is to gather the extra garment fibers to push down into the hole. And then, do you put it in the description? I do...I have. I just feel like do unto others as you would have do unto you works for me. I show the piece too. If the hole is fairly big I also try to find the perfect thread and do a little crosshatch on it. I have a Jcrew sweater I did this too as well...I still need to post photos of the patch darn it. I keep forgetting. Anyway good for you. You can find vids about fixing holes in sweater using the cross hatch method as well...as long as holes are not too large, too big, or in an awful place often they can be fixed enough to keep the item in circulation for a while. Even if with holes you can't fix you can sell cashmere bulk lots for people to use in their crafting or upcycling work. I hardly ever find cashmere, maybe I don't look hard enough...good for you though to mention this trick! and congrats on finding that designer dress. If the designer has passed now, might be even more valuable?
As I have always felt, very awesome video!!! I know my thought is not realistic, BUT, I wish I had you every day! Glasses and the App, were both, very helpful today. I am still just learning. Thanks for your dedication!
I had no idea I could do that with cashmere, so many cashmere pieces i have passed up because you are right! The holes are inevitable. I will be eagerly waiting for the follow up video on it. Also, the glasses! What a convenient step up to your TH-cam game, I love it and giving a good idea!!🤩
Your video glasses worked!! The only thing is that you are whispering and at times it’s hard to hear. No need to whisper lol. I go to thrift stores and I’m talking loud to myself about items😂 people will think you are on the phone
Love this video thrifting in the thrift store!! Where did you get those glasses I want some I was telling my husband they need to make those glasses and I guess they do I’ve not wanted to do videos using my go pro or my phone I don’t want people knowing I do it because I feel like they would charge you more money at yard sales, but good idea with the glasses definitely link them??
Ooh! I found three Issey Miake Vogue patterns at Savers and they sold as a lot for $100 within a couple of days of listing. I probably could have sold them for a little more too. Great finds!
Man!! Wish I’d known about BoNash Powder before. I found a Naadam Cardigan at the bins with a couple of holes and left it behind 😮😢. Thanks for the awesome content!
I like your videos so much and I am really happy to be a new subscriber! Those camera glasses 👓 look great and very clear. Your purchase price was amazing, I was impressed with the money you saved. That was great and your sales will be through the roof ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
OMG - please, please please tell us more about the glasses. As a person who wears them every waking hour, I would love to use them if prescription lenses can be put inside them.

How do you know so much about IM? I so appreciate people who have fashion history knowledge!

I promise I will make a short video where I fix that Helmut Lang sweater!! 🫣🫠
I kind of love that it wasn’t in there because it made me laugh out loud! Totally something I would do! #momlife
@@HustleatHomeMom I would still love to see you do it on another piece. I bought some of the Bo Nash a while back, but I haven't tried it yet.
Where did you get those glasses and how much did you have to pay?
You can also sew holes in cashmere..it takes skill and time..
Saved this vid just because I looked the cut in on the missing clip😅
I think your glasses did great! No complaints here. Thank you for the video!
Also, ISSEY MIYAKE is a guy (you pronounced correctly the first time ! He died a couple of years ago so older styles are worth more now. He did a lot of loose silhouettes and plisse (tiny pleats) as his collections were about movement! Fun runway shows! :)
Major facepalm on the mistake!! 🫠 I clearly need to do more research on him!
@@HustleatHomeMom no harm ! There’s always more to learn :))
You used my sold comp in your video 12:05 I am blushing right now. Love the glasses!
I wasn't expecting to like the glasses but I think they are great. It's worth it for your comfort and to be able to now take an easy camera around

Who, sadly, passed away back in ‘22. One of my favorites!
I just spent $84 at an estate sale for $400 worth of inventory! I’m glad more people don’t look for what I specialize in. It’s tough out there.
Less YT videos on what’s value would help serious resellers. YT has destroyed it.
I agree!
About it being hard, not about less videos!! I love them!
Ashley thanks for taking us along ! I appreciate you!!! Very solid finds ! Riff cracks me up with the cut ins ! I really enjoy those cut ins !
Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
I love when editors put in lil sassy clips lol. Makes me want to hire my own sassy editor for the content that I dont make lol
your editor is always makes me laugh so much! Great sense of humour he's got :D
I’m glad you found Issei Miyake!! That’s a male famous designer in Japan but just with a ‘plantation’ tag, I would have missed it even for a Japanese!
Great camera glasses, keep using them! Xx

Voting yes to the glasses. Not affecting footage. Actually like the bit higher angle

Thanks for taking us shopping 😊
I can’t find anything good at my goodwill store. I don’t have the eye 👁️ to spot items. I get overwhelmed. I love your new camera glasses.

Hey! Love your content. Where do you “look up” the values??
I live in Carlisle Cumbria England and I love watching your videos,
Was the $932 item the Helmut Lang or the Issey Miyake?
Glasses are awesome!!
Great finds! I haven’t heard of half these brands.😂
That’s cool glasses. Where did you buy those?
Would love to know where you got the glasses from. Think that could be a great resource for me to use while thrift as well.
Your glasses did great!
Those glasses are freakin awesome. Incredible quality
Why did you blur out that one garment item?
The glasses are awesome the picture seemed alot clearer.
Where did you get your glasses? If you have an affiliate link-let me know? I have never seen those! hands free is so helpful!
Don’t touch that sweater! It’s intentionally distressed. I sold that same sweater in white this past fall :)
Haha ahh! Thank you for letting me know!! I’m so glad I still picked it up!
