I live in the sgv and thrift around la county/San Bernardino/oc and the oc always prices things up but you did good! La has better finds and pricing. Next time you come out here I’d recommend making the hour drive if you can.

What you did with your kids today is a great thing. I am almost 60 my mom taught me back then it was picking at garage sales and selling at flea markets. I taught my almost in their 40’s (sons) then my youngest son is teaching his 13 year old son who is already selling on line with guidance from his dad. I never worried about them surviving because they had the right tools. I still resale for the love of it and extra cash (online). You are a rock star.
My 7yo son hates thrifting with me lol my 3yo daughter is starting to get challenging to take with me. One time before an outing with my kids, I took them to the thrift store to find things that would pay for our day out and I did! It was fun and rewarding. Love that we can do this for our families!!

Also……what time did you go to the Santa Ana Outlet? They don’t do bin rotations there so it’s usually so picked over early and I’ve never found ANYTHING. I think your sons are your lucky charms
Sorry kids, we didnt make enough money to cover disney so we are going home. Haha. Your kids got those eagle eyes for lululemon. I just found a couple James Perse Men's polo shirts the other day. Might be keeping them. lol! Looks like you had lots of fun out there!
What a cool idea!! You found some great items. I have had such minimal sales with clothes that I have taken the items I had down to give away to charity. I had listed several decent brands, like Forever 21, Old navy, Ocean Pacific, FUBU, and others that were more pricey.I have 12 grand kids and they were giving their clothes away that were barely worn and some still had price tags so I decided to try to sell them. When something sold, I split the money with them. My prices were from 5 to 30 dollars depending on brand and condition. I looked each item up before I listed it and used the sold prices for a base and then dropped my price by about half. I am almost 70 and not knowledgable about how to put out a video and I doubt if my face at this age is camera friendly. Haha! Maybe the lack of a TH-cam video is why my sales are so weak. To be honest I haven't figured out how to get my store out there so people can find me.

That goodwill bin doesn’t swap out bins. They close early and they aren’t opened on Sunday and only have clothes. It’s $2.99lb now.

Not sure why but prices now at thrift stores in south Florida are insanely high. Maybe bc all the pickers. Shoes are never under $15 or more and Goodwill has in store pickers now so I never score there anymore.

❤ The Goodwill is in Santa Ana & the Salvation Army is in Lake Forest. ❤ I’ve been to lots of thrift stores and sometimes you score and sometimes you don’t…..just depends. Few years back, I was at the Santa Ana Goodwill and scored a Dior Boutique jacket. I went there recently and it was so picked over it was nearly barren.
