- Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan, previously known as Irrfan Khan and later as just Irrfan in Bollywood movies was born on January 7, 1967. He is an Indian National Awards winner actor who appears in film, television, and theatre. He has also acted in many international projects. Irrfan is perhaps India's best known international actor due to the critical acclaim he has received for his roles in Hollywood films.
Irrfan was born in Jaipur to a business family. He was studying for his MA degree, when he earned a scholarship to study at National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi in 1984. That is when his journey in the world of films and theatre began.
Irrfan passed away on April 29, 2020 in Mumbai after a long battle with cancer.

For me, recognizing Irfan, his face and name, when he came into movies, that he was this guy whom I admired in one of the DD serials, was a proud moment. He has the power to leave the impact on a viewer to find out more about him. Sort of a Robert de Niro of India.
Your thoughts seems to be an echo of mine. When I was 12 years old I watched a very less popular movie of Irrfan. The name of the movie was 'Goal''. It left a mark on my mind forever. He became my favourite from then onwards.
He would have rightly been a huge phenomena in the history of World Cinema, with the stature of De Niro or Al Pacina, had he been allowed to live up to their time!
