I walked past Stone Cold on the street in my hometown of Vancouver. It was the most star struck I'd ever been. I totally wigged out. I stared at him as he walked past. When he got about 10ft past I yelled "Stone Cold!' He turned and said "Hey man, how's it going?" I ran up to him and went into a monologue about how he was my favourite wrestler ever and so on and so on. I finished by asking him to give a Stunner. He laughed and declined. Haha. Really cool guy though and a pretty cool moment for me.
Arsh S Walking South on Burrard St. just before Pacific. He said he was filming a movie when I asked him what he was doing in Van. It was 3 or 4 years ago. I actually saw the movie on Movie Central some time later. It was just a B movie, nothing that was popular.
ohh k I knew he was here to film hunt to kill. I kept looking for him and trying to find out where he is shooting or staying but could'nt find him. You are lucky :)
Felt like a jab at Owen Hart for doing a sitting tombstone and breaking Steve’s neck. Dan Severn recently revealed that Owen injured him as well with that move, but not to the extent Steve was. Owen’s demise was tragic, but he was extremely unprofessional on both occasions. He wouldn’t even apologize to Steve for injuring him even after Bret encouraged him to. How could Owen be so careless as a member of the legendary Hart family when Bret was one of the safest workers in the industry?
FAVORITE Opponent: BRET HART , one of the ALL TIME GREATS... Thanks Steve.. my respect for u has increased a million-fold because of tht one comment :D
Jay Casado that's not why he hated him. HBK disrespected Rock's grandmother. Also, during a Rock vs HHH match with HBK as the ref, HBK was kinda stiff with his sweet chin music (he also spit on Rock). Rock called him out on it in the back, and HBK gave him attitude, Rock beat him up.
I enjoy hearing Austin talk about his run, and the old days, too. Having come here from watching the Promo for "WWe '13" I really appreciate his preference for a match with CM Punk. In that segment (with Jim Ross as moderator) the two men showed the kind of chemistry that I think would have translated very well into the ring.
greatest wrestler ever to grace us. when that glass broke I got goose bumps every single time. wish he was still around today as we miss stars like this in the wwe.
True and that is because Bret Hart was the ultimate consummate wrestler and master story teller. He had the unique ability to work with any level of talent on the roster and make the match a 5 star show and not many (if any) can do that. If Bret Hart wrestled in this generation, you could book him against Great Khali and he would magically make Khali look like more than just a giant. Bret Hart was that great.
Gaurav R comparing Daniel Bryan to Bret Hart is just an example of how shitty the WWE has become, if "Daniel Bryan" is the best guy yo can come up with then that's depressing. Not to take any credit away from Daniel, but let's face the fact here, Daniel could even lace up Bret's boots, let alone compete with him!
On House Shows they would put people against Bret to see if they could be pushed, of course he made them look amazing but when they were given a push it was revealed how out of place they were.
You could always tell when SCSA and Rock got in a match it was authentic. The two worked perfectly together, brought out the best in each other and had some of the most historic and memorable matches. 2001, the whole build up to WM 17 was epic.
You just gotta respect this man! Always honest, always says what he believes! The greatest wrestler of all time! Just like Ric Flair said during his hall of fame induction speech.
poopsyko CM Punk is one of the best wrestlers of all time, as is stone cold. He got beat in a fight, but that doesn't make him a worse wrestler. Bottom line is that match would have a huge draw if it happened.
Everyone wants to wresle with punk because all the wrestlers knows punk is a very special wrestler who can give greatest matches in wwe history. The match between punk vs cena, punk vs Jericho, punk vs rock and punk vs brock lesner are the greatest matches from 2011-2014.
I was there at the King of the Ring in '96 when he gave one of the most famous interviews in wrestling history. He beat Marc Mero in the first round and my friend and I thought that they'd put Mero over seeing as Stone Cold was the "Ringmaster" up until that point. Big surprise to us. I remember thinking when he laid his stunner (it was more methodical then) on Mero: "that was vicious." His interview was downright scary. I felt scared in the audience. That's an interview with impact.
I want his babies. He's one of those people that need to be cloned or preserved for future generations. I'm more than happy to give him sons to further his bloodline. You think I'm crazy but I'm serious.
Stone Cold Steve Austin will always be a legend just like elvis was to music even in there worse days they were still legends in what they did an will never be forgotten!
I don't get why people think that Steve Austin and CM Punk wouldn't be a good match. You do know that Phil(Punk) was one of Steves biggest fans, used some of his phrases as a commemoration, and wore Stone Colds apparel during some of his pipe bombs. Punk was figuratively the second coming of Stone Cold's attitude since he started. Punk and Steve Austin were two of the best the business has ever seen and the amount of hype and money that they would have drawn would have been the most successful thing the business has done in since the Michaels/Undertaker match.
Punk and Austin would honestly be legendary. Like two personalities that have drawn so many similarities..... both defying authority, leading stable, being champ... This match would be crazy.
Amen. I stopped watching WWF(E) regularly when it went PG in 2009, I believe it was. Usually now some friends and I will get the Royal Rumble and I will tune into Raw every week leading up to Wrestlemania, watch 'Mania and then the Raw after and that's pretty much it until the next year's Rumble PPV. I may see what's going on for SummerSlam, but it has to really grab me.
while I agree that would be great let's face it...punk isn't coming back...I lost a lot respect for him. he walked out after having one of the longest title runs in the modern area...why??? if he didn't like the way creative was going with his character go to the top..go to vince work it out..don't just leave like a baby...I hoped for the longest time that it was just a work but obviously now we all know it wasn't...what a shame...I was a huge fan. same as Austin walking out...hated it...oh well....
He walked out. His contract eneded in July he left after the rumble in jan and never came back...i heard what he said about the wedding day crap. And i think it's just that. Who really knows the truth though? *****
As much as i loved Stone Cold i wouldn't want him to return. I hope he stays out of WWE and i can remember him being the bad ass that he was back in the day. I hate what they did with The Rock and i wish now that he didn't come back at all. At the end of the day the WWE revolves around John Cena and it would only be a matter of time before he got involved with Austin, and like he did with Dwayne completely destroy the great memory of him. Don't believe me? what competent wrestling fan likes The Rock now? ...exactly.
Aidan Pierce And i was one of the ones going crazy when he came back, because we remember what The Rock was back in the good old days the most electrifying man in all of sports and entertainment, the peoples champ etc etc but what they had him do when he came back, was jump through hoops for Cena and ultimately be beaten and put over a guy who did not need it. Thats what i mean by i hope Austin doesnt come back, its happened to one of the Attitude Era icons, i hope it doesn't happen to another.
Aidan Pierce But my point is Cena still beat him. Cena does NOT need any push or be put over anymore hes boring, the guy that always wins in the end. In the end after everyone he feuds with he ALWAYS "wins".
Yeah but the thing is if the Rock wasn't leaving to go do movies then obviously Cena wouldn't have been booked to beat him. He won ONLY because the Rock was leaving.
steve im mike collage kid in PA i want to thank you cause you gave me the guts to stick up to bulles when i was in hs and younger thanks also i know your done wwe and you have an new life like the rock and cena we need a punk and austin match i know there is alot left in you and i know you can win wwe title one more time
For anoyone who's an Austin fan and hasn't yet, you should really check out his podcast. I'm surprised by how candid he his and where he's willing to take the the show.
You should. He is the best thing that happened to the company in a long long long long looooong time. Entertaining, talented , the full package. We call him the BEST IN THE WORLD.
indeed my friend, indeed! That match is THE match that defines Austin's career. He mentions that all the time! there aren't wrestlers like those 2 anymore.Maybe only Taker!
Bret Hart is the reason why Stone Cold or back then Stunning Steve got in to the WWF. Bret was telling McMahon to pick up Steve amongst others. Austin knows that Bret Hart say something in him even when the WCW didn't know what to do with him. So their friendship goes way back to when Austin was ring master probably before

Dont know if your lying or not but its still a cool story lol
Lol me and trevor has the same last name weird
where exactly did u see him? and when coz i live in vancouver too and its my dream to meet him once.
He still looks so good and hasn't aged a bit! Stone Cold will always be the man.
+rmathew2 vergin...
+rmathew2 why are you abusing her
+Malini Hasn't aged? ROFL
not too much
and you will always be my woman 😘😘😘
Best part of all these interviews is them forcing Larry King to read out stupid twitter names.
Listening to Larry read out the name Simply Sausages.. too funny.
SO A NAME IS STUPID FOR U? WHO THE FUCK YOU THINK U R TO CALL A NAME STUPID?
DSD Movies lmaooooo seriously
do it like the rock would " IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS "
simplysausages
I like how Steve said that. Your their to protect the other guy even if you don't want to work with him...
+Mike Hare (Mikey)
*you're there*
Hellwyck Omg thank you.
Someone should have told Goldberg and his manager that.

Stone Cold Steve Austin the greatest of all-time imo!
rock is, imo.
rock is second ...
Daddy P.H.A.T. Saxxx Undertaker
Greatest gimmick yes but he was never as over as Austin and The Rock............
Hulk Hogan
One of the top 10 in all time wrestling. Hats of Steve, you are one of the best things that has ever happened to wrestling.
FAVORITE Opponent: BRET HART , one of the ALL TIME GREATS... Thanks Steve.. my respect for u has increased a million-fold because of tht one comment :D
Bret Hart or The Rock were Austin's favorite opponents!!! You heard it folks!!!
Yeah man but he was more favorably to Bret and that was awesome and true..(y)
Devin Young Rock always respected Brett too . Rock and Brett were close friends which is why Rock HATED HBK back in the day after the screw job
Jay Casado and they wrestled each other only one time.
Devin Young Bret Harts dont get made any more. And The Rock set the new bar, nobody past it yet
Jay Casado that's not why he hated him. HBK disrespected Rock's grandmother. Also, during a Rock vs HHH match with HBK as the ref, HBK was kinda stiff with his sweet chin music (he also spit on Rock). Rock called him out on it in the back, and HBK gave him attitude, Rock beat him up.

greatest wrestler ever to grace us. when that glass broke I got goose bumps every single time. wish he was still around today as we miss stars like this in the wwe.
It's crazy the amount of people who say they had their best matches with Bret.
Bret Hart was that great.
giinzuo Bret Hart was what Daniel Bryan was to the WWE.
I said his name now I'm gonna cry😭😭😭
AJ Styles can make people look great too.

Bret Hart vs Steve Austin in Wrestlemania 13 is not only my favorite wrestling match, it's also one of the greatest things I've ever seen period.
This is great to see Stone Cold and I didn't know the undead could conduct interviews.
talk with so much confident... that "the man" right there!!
Back then Stone Cold was cocky and badass... but now he has HUMBLED up and God bless him.
how many fucking times will people ask how he came up with "Austin 3:16"???
+TheIshuCool Kids ya know?
he has that answer ready that how many times. People who ask aren't real fans.
I love this i love how Stone Cold answered these questions real honest and simple.
What keeps me motivated to watch WWE is that someday I will watch Stone Cold vs CM Punk. And that is the bottom line.
How’d that work out? 😂
I would love to see cm punk vs stone cold
after the beating CM Punk got from Mickey Gall he's not relevant or meaningful anymore,he's a joke.like you for wanting to see him in a match.
poopsky stop being mean stone cold is the BEST WWE SUPERSTAR EVER BECUSE STONE COLDS BIGGEST FAN SAID SO
poopsyko CM Punk is one of the best wrestlers of all time, as is stone cold. He got beat in a fight, but that doesn't make him a worse wrestler. Bottom line is that match would have a huge draw if it happened.
we all do.. Win or lose the match will be a thousand times better than Rock vs cena
Nobody Cm punk is a joke. Don't disrespect Austin like that
Everyone wants to wresle with punk because all the wrestlers knows punk is a very special wrestler who can give greatest matches in wwe history. The match between punk vs cena, punk vs Jericho, punk vs rock and punk vs brock lesner are the greatest matches from 2011-2014.
Bret Hit Man Hart. The best there is the best there was and the best there every will be!
+T Mac "If you put an S in front of 'hitman,' you'll have my opinion on Bret Hart; and that's all I got to say about that."
+maxdecphoenix Come on that was an amazing wrestler and entertainer
+T Mac He's quoting what Austin said when he was feuding with him in 1996.
+T Mac chris jericho is the best you stupid idiot!!!
bleach itself his catchphrase is diffrent and bret said this when jericho was a rookie in japan and wcw
That's what Is amazing about their personas, so similar yet also so different.
I was there at the King of the Ring in '96 when he gave one of the most famous interviews in wrestling history. He beat Marc Mero in the first round and my friend and I thought that they'd put Mero over seeing as Stone Cold was the "Ringmaster" up until that point. Big surprise to us. That's an interview with impact.
Respect to Stone Cold, giving respect to the greatest ever Bret Hart.
You're the only one missing out on not knowing who CM Punk is, he's the closest thing to an attitude era wrestler you'll get in this PG era.
2:26 he wants cm punk to be his last opponent. Book the dam match
Don't think it's possible now, but would be awesome if Sting and Jericho helped him to do it
Heard about that one. What a guy CM Punk is. Have even more respect for him than i did before. Top man!
I want his babies. He's one of those people that need to be cloned or preserved for future generations. I'm more than happy to give him sons to further his bloodline.
You think I'm crazy but I'm serious.
Idk.... Larry King is up there!! Haha

Well said! your spot on
I was waiting for Larry King to ask a question that Stone Cold didn't like and then Steve giving Larry a stunner.
RIP LARRY KING ❤️
Punk and Austin would honestly be legendary. Like two personalities that have drawn so many similarities..... both defying authority, leading stable, being champ...
This match would be crazy.

I absolutely agree with u about the attitude era
simply sausages and spaztichero had me in stitches
...Because stone cold said so
ArtzBeats 😂😂😂
As much as i loved Stone Cold i wouldn't want him to return. I hope he stays out of WWE and i can remember him being the bad ass that he was back in the day. I hate what they did with The Rock and i wish now that he didn't come back at all.

Don't believe me? what competent wrestling fan likes The Rock now? ...exactly.
Well seeing as he got the greatest ovation of all time when he came back to host wrestlemania that one year, I'd say a lot more people than you think.
Aidan Pierce
And i was one of the ones going crazy when he came back, because we remember what The Rock was back in the good old days the most electrifying man in all of sports and entertainment, the peoples champ etc etc but what they had him do when he came back, was jump through hoops for Cena and ultimately be beaten and put over a guy who did not need it.
Thats what i mean by i hope Austin doesnt come back, its happened to one of the Attitude Era icons, i hope it doesn't happen to another.
Ultimately be beaten? He beat Cena at Wrestlemania for the title. He was there 2 years before he had to put over for Cena.
Aidan Pierce
But my point is Cena still beat him.
He won ONLY because the Rock was leaving.
good questions and answers
The stars aligning for Austin would be him winning the match.
TrainTrax as he should, why tf should he come back out of retirement all these years with all these fans waiting....to lose??
Miss stone cold in the ring. Original pipe bomb on the mic and great to watch
steve im mike collage kid in PA i want to thank you cause you gave me the guts to stick up to bulles when i was in hs and younger thanks also i know your done wwe and you have an new life like the rock and cena we need a punk and austin match i know there is alot left in you and i know you can win wwe title one more time
For anoyone who's an Austin fan and hasn't yet, you should really check out his podcast.
I'm surprised by how candid he his and where he's willing to take the the show.
Rip king 👑
He has a lot of respect for all wrestlers
The glass shatters, the crowd goes nuts, CM Punk looks at the titantron in fear and disbelief... STONE COLD RETURNS!
I'm not surprised he said Bret Hart!!! most technical wrestler of that generation.
the fucking texas rattlesnake a hot temper stone cold was my idol as a kid. i dont even watch it anymore after all them retired
Stone Cold showing BHH much deserved respect.

-Ramba Ral
Oh how I'd love to see him against Punk
I haven't heared in my life anyone hates on Stone Cold. What a legend
Punk vs Austin
That would be AWESOME
Bret Hart is the reason why Stone Cold or back then Stunning Steve got in to the WWF. Bret was telling McMahon to pick up Steve amongst others. Austin knows that Bret Hart say something in him even when the WCW didn't know what to do with him. So their friendship goes way back to when Austin was ring master probably before
Most honest interview ever
Come back !!!
Austin is my fab .
Austin please come one more time to the ring
Check out Tough Enough contestant AJ Kirsch on Larry King Now! He talks about his experience on Tough Enough, working with Steve Austin, and the proudest moment of his career to date.
Wrestlemania XXX CM Punk vs Stone Cold Steve Austin how epic this even sounds , I hope this what we gonna see next year
The last line lol.. whatever I feel passionately about a subject, I am very happy to be on the Larry king show and that's the bottom line
