I love the surface of the Lighpad so much that I bought four of them and wrote to ROLI asking them to consider making future keybeds using the Lightpad surface. I'd buy a Seaboard right now if I was able to play it.

I’ve been wondering about which to get too, and since the video doesn’t even consider other options, I would say to go for secret option three: the Sensel Morph. It still plays great with the Roli soft synth, but it’s way cheaper and much more flexible, portable and practical.

Excellent, very informative! I'm especially intrigued by having it control Live. Is the communication two-way? Eg., if a scene is triggered on the computer, does the block show it?
Does Roli's software/drivers allow you to use a lightpad and seaboard to cover 4 octaves together? It'd be quite an extra load even for an experienced keyboardist to have each hand covering 2 octaves in such different playstyles, but it seems like a really convenient way to get more octaves when you want them for a just a little bit here and there to hash out a wider ranging midi part.
Hi Sanjay, Thanks for the great video! I've got a few questions: I'm debating whether I should get the seaboard block or the songmaker kit. I mainly compose orchestral soundtracks - do you think these products would serve that purpose (or are they more suited for electronic music)? Also, the main DAW I use is Cubase...would these products work with this? Have you experienced any latency issues while these were connected via bluetooth? Lastly, what is the battery life of the seaboard block and the lightpad?

Does the block have a speaker or does it need a separate speaker for sound?
It doesn't have a speaker. You need to use an iphone/ipad/computer

This video was published on my birthday in 2018 LOL
If you listen closely, you can hear me say, "Happy birthday, Gab Vic!"

But can i use the lightbox as a mouse, cause that would be sickkk. With the lights following my finger. 😋
I don't think so, unless someone made an app for it. People are creating all sorts of tools using the Lightpad.

Can you save your tracks and play it in live performance?
Yes you can
