Hey Guy, how do you take a bath? Where is your girl friend or wife? Where do you get income? Supposing you have a friend who wants to visit you where does the friend sit or sleep or go to take care of personal necessity, such as, restroom or sleep?
I have a chain gym membership at anytime fitness they’re open 24 hours that’s where I shower or at the community rec centre or at a truck stop. I make TH-cam videos as my income. I don’t have a wife or a girlfriend. And if I have a lady friend over... my bed is plenty big for both of us. And I have a bathroom in my van. I have a bucket with a bag in it that I shit in when there’s no public bathroom around. And I piss in a bottle every day. And most of my friends have vans. So they can go back to their own van to take a shit if they need LOL

Maybe glue something like a section of bicycle inner tube to the inside of the fridge lid, so that when it's closed the rubber contacts the little cross beam between the freezer lid and fridge lid, acting like a gasket.
Well, sense you said talking to us is sometimes like therapy ……….that will be $150 US Dollars!! I love when you tell us about your past life. Not only therapeutic for you, but for me as well. I love you and Cruz. Take care and send us another video soon.
This is lovely. I’m buying a motorhome for just me in a month. I’m so looking forward to being free and connected with the earth and my soul. These videos give me courage to do what I know I need 🥰🙏🇦🇺
Ok, my first thought is how awesome that you have a beautiful English bulldog. Mine passed away 4 months ago. Nothing compares to the love and companionship. I love the freedom you have . Safe travels to you both.
At 3 months on the road now, it's AMAZING how fast I achieved EXACTLY what this video stated! I've done the big house thing, but was never as much at peace with life as I am now in MY van, my way. Thanks for the ride!
Talking to the camera to figure things out or vent is ok. If it feels wrong then talk to Cruzie he understands. I loved the scenery is so beautiful and the little town gave me reminders of when I lived in Texas. Thank you. You are fantastic and I love your videos.
I talk to my cats and when I had dogs, well I talked their little ears off! I felt better when they just gave me their look of love. That’s all I needed !
Don’t stop recording for me you are very inspiring and I have only found a very few who are for me. At this point in my life I am a resent widow and lost everything when my husband died everything like the house and most of what was in it. Looking for a better way with my cat I find comfort and inspiration from videos like yours. Thank you.
today was a real bad day all i wanted when i came home was to see what chrome and cruzie were up to it helped calm my nerves and just made me want to live through anything life had to throw at me so cheers to you chrome and extra kibble for cruze
That made me cry! Just a little word to lift your spirits..You are going to be ok! Go easy and stay focused on the things that make you happy , your happiness is most important…. live your beautiful life! Get yourself a Cruze!
I hope you gave the nice lady (who was concerned about your situation) a sticker. Let her peep your channel and see how many people love the way you live and enjoy vicariously traveling along with you. Greetings from California. 🤟
I think subconsciously when you turn your camera on to chat, it's a need for a little companionship. Just to chat with someone. You got us Chrome😁 we love ya!💗
Keep on rolling in your free world Chrome, you're living for the thousands of us that are still grinding, trying to make it out of here. The corporations keep tightening the screws. No matter whether you're an employee or a small business competitor, the road to freedom seems farther and farther away each day. Hats off to you man, thanks for letting a lot of us experience freedom through you. Prayers to you, that you and Cruzy be protected and stay well.
Really enjoyed this CHROME! it is never a waste of time to just talk anytime into your camera. It is one of the best ways to vent and organize as well as share to an audience. I am 51 and this way of life you and many others live has been on my heart for many years, way before you started your channel. I am so close to just walking away and giving up everything to live this solo way of life. There is so much to see and experience right across Canada that there is no way to do it staying stationary. I agree this is not for anyone but more so for the humbled that see the fake word around us for what it is. Absolutely great videos and love hearing you get real with your personal feelings. Praying for you Chrome and look forward to your next.
Lets hook up and be travel buddies! Im basically living with mom and I just turned 50! I got my pup & a suitcase! Lets share the cost and do a conversion! Indiana
Make a checklist of things to do and before moving bro. windows closed, stove safe, down from levelers, walk around, propane off etc. Essential for safe uninterrupted travel. I have used one for years, because you can't remember everything. Why take chances, Just sayin.
You are my inspiration! My kids are grown and I haven't been able to work. The van life is what I've been thinking about for over a year. I love your videos as they are very informative and helpful. Be safe 🙏 ❤
I think you have more fans in the United States then you could ever imagine. The world is kind of a shitshow right now and we're no exception but I hope I've severed my 4 bedroom house for freedom when you come down. I don't watch TV anymore I have people that watch that inspired me and you're number one waving a hand from Texas
"You are Not Alone" Keep the great content coming! B.C. and Vancouver island are now added to my bucket list! Remember " all that are wandering are Not lost"
I've been sharing your videos with my grandchildren, hoping they might consider the same carefree and simple life. Van Life gives you so much more freedom. Thank you for sharing your stories. Love, from California.
OMG I love your dog!! He reminds me of the one I just lost October 2022. He was almost 11 years old. Best thing to have entered my life, ever! I hope you have many years of unconditional love with him.
Really proud of you for being so able to understand people who automatically, instinctively judge you (Van life), and look down on you - but you are completely unaffected by her unawareness, and actually appreciate her concern, innocence. Such a healthy perspective, and perception on life, what matters, what boxes we get so used to, etc., and knowing what really matters (comes within). Cheers bud (& Cruzey).
Dear Chrome and Cruz the bulldog, thank-you for sharing your day with me. I had every intention of buying a Van to live in full time traveling the US then I met my husband of 2 years. We live in northern California, have a motorhome we take to Idaho for the summer to fish, camp, relax and visit my husband's family. My husband is 91 so he is planning for my future. Our motorhome is 31' long, too big for just me and my Bombay cat Onyx. We're going to find one newer and smaller. It will be my full-time home so I'll meet up with a few vanlife ppl to get to know the ropes. I pray it's not too soon. Take care. I'll watch your other vids. I love you in Christ. Hugs.
Additionally... Try covering the inside freezer side with a piece of relextics. Maybe even over the fridge part as well... keeps the temperatures in each respective side.
Your video came across my feed. I was blown away by the self-awareness & sensitivity you display. When you were talking about the woman & the purity of that moment, it made me realize exactly how much I tune out of my own life, & let precious, pure moments pass by without acknowledging and soaking in them. I admire that you took the plunge and hit the road. I’m 53 & ready to do the same. Going to watch some of your previous videos. Thank you for posting them!
I always look forward to your videos, some people truly don’t understand how much you love living your life. I love that you take the time out of your day to show and educate people on your life. One day when I retire I plan on doing the same. Much love, and safe travels !
I just found your TH-cam channel and subscribed. I have to tell you that it’s so nice to finally see someone who is normal, down to earth and like real people. Your a joy to watch.
The best things in life are free. I like being your therapist chrome, I could listen to you all day! Love you and cruzie. You always lift my spirits. Thanks for sharing.
Chrome you’re such a cool dude. I wish I could meet you. I live in the US though. I lived in a tiny house with barely enough room to stand up without hitting my head and I still prefer that any day over the current life I’m living now working where I work and living in a place I’d rather not live. Less to me will always be more. Be safe.
I hope you can somehow make your getaway. Did you see his van’s earliest setup? Just throw in a couple storage bins and a mattress. Don’t wait! Best to you.
Loved this video! It is Jan. 29, 2022 as I write this. I took some time to write in my journal while I watched this. I love how you take us along with you and even though you think you're rambling, we feel like we have a friend in you. Thanks for sharing Cruz with us too, he is the BEST!! About 10 plus years ago, I packed up my car while living in Fairbanks, Ak and traveled to the Kenai and Homer by myself and slept in my car the whole time. I was living the van life before it was a "thing" ha,ha...I so enjoy following you and being part of your journey, thanks a bunch!! Keep those videos coming!!
I just came across your channel in my feed and I loved it! I’m so interested in learning your story and can really relate to your timing spent living in that fancy apartment above your means. So happy for you discovering what makes you happy and how you’re now living your life. Thank you for sharing!
Hey what's up, you really sounded a little down in this one. I can see where you would feel alone but even though you can't see us we are here. I may be several thousand miles away but Chrome I really look forward for your next video. It's great that the little old lady was so concerned about you and Cruise and I can see why she would feel concern. But not every one will ever get it or understand why you live this life. Or understand why I am trying to pick up and join the life. But hey I understand. I have worked 47 and one half years, starting at 16. Now I am 63 and really have nothing to show for it but a very tired and broken body. Yeah that was what dad and mom taught me was the thing I was supposed to do. Now I look back over the years and I can't help but think what a waste of time. Time I can't ever get back, I really feel that I have lost my life somewhere. Sorry for the rant, give Cruise a snack for me see ya next time. Be safe and keep it real.
That lady he spoke to sounded so sweet, bless her heart. I’m only 51 and also at a point where I don’t know what I did it all for. Plotting my escape, looking to Chrome for inspiration. It’s therapeutic to rant. I’m rooting for you too.
It's never too late Paul.....you're not ancient at 63... far from it...I just watched a TH-camr , who at 73 has just converted a van to go live/travel in...she is full of vim and vigor and never wants to go back to ' normality ', only regrets she didn't do it sooner...don't look back Paul, keep looking forward to the 'dream' ...you have time to change things up....
I too am 63. Trying to work till im 66 and between now and then as long as my health holds out, im looking for a van to convert and have ready when i retire, i wont have much. Just my social security but as long as i can work till 66 and dont acquire any more debt, i should be debt free by then, who knows. Maybe i go to canada in my van, sure are some nice spots Chrome has shown us.
You’re still young! Your life is not wasted at all!Working for over 40 years …that is commendable. How many fellow humans have you encountered and served in that time period? I bet many! Give yourself a pat on the back and look, you’ve made it to 63 what a true blessing! Breathe the fresh air, drink a nice cold brew , sit back and listen to the sounds of nature, rest from working and enjoy watching you tube! You tube is like a time machine too, I reminisce and listen to music, watch old videos and movies and think to myself, hey I’ve been a nurse for 42 years I have nothing to show for it, except I do and so do you …you are still here, so enjoy your life! It’s a journey ! Have fun and above all have the life now that will give you peace and happiness in your heart and soul.🥰
Appreciate the rawness & authenticity in your sharing of your previous lifestyle. I'm currently being called to live a simple nomadic lifestyle and this has inspired me to make it happen sooner rather than later. Happy travels! 😊🙏❤

Just came across your channel and can't tell you how much watching these last few videos has meant. Especially this one - materialistic items and flooding our apts and houses with items to make others feel we were doing well versus downgrading to the things that bring us the most joy and to really show up for ourselves. Oh, and the comment about the ability to see so much from a vehicle versus that one view your apartment has - yesssss!
Well, I started watching nomad TH-cam videos about a year ago. Your reflections of your life are so interesting. Many of us can relate to those reflections and your journey, even when we didn't have the same life. Thanks for being so open and telling me/us the things you are experiencing because they make me think about what can be - even at 70....
I was in the same head space emotionally. I’m building my van but still stuck in my apartment for now. I was eating late and whenever I felt stressed. I now have acid reflux from it. It’s pretty bad. Scared me but I saw a dr and it’s ok. You seem to have a great self awareness about it. Wish you well. Also, I find your open honesty so refreshing and challenging to be as real with myself.
I tried car camping for the first time this summer. It was awesome. My retirement plan is to retire early and embrace vanlife. I'm excited. I remember the lessons you teach such as "arrive late and leave early" when you are parking somewhere for the night. Thank you for your lessons and for sharing your life. And of course, Sir Cruzie! The sound of him eating happily brings my heart so much joy. He's adorable. x

This is an awesome video. Thank you for sharing and opening your world up to us even the most vulnerable of moments. You've got a beautiful life.
Cute dog also. But too bad people are driven to this, no, considered different, well both. We are not free enough for that not to have issues. I hope more and more great people like this do this so I can join easy. Bless the pioneers!
Home is where the heart is. I like where your home is. I wish I could do what you do, living in a van doing life my way. I can't so I do it through you & your videos. Thank you for sharing your life.
Really, this guy's lifestyle is like the modern version of Westward expansion in a Conestoga wagon. We've forgotten how many Americans lived in the wilderness before the establishment of towns and cities. He's enjoying the world with his dog, if he had been a scout or explorer he would have had a close friendship with a horse as well, and each day brings new encounters. It's an adventurous life without the dangers of being alone in the wilderness. We've forgotten what living like this means as an individual.
My aunt Carol was born in McBride 68 yrs ago. It was a one strip friendly town back then. Life is what WE make of it. Otherwise we’re just existing. Cheers from Vancouver eh!
You're living the life that I myself and I'm sure many others would love to be living. With your best a little pal there. Lucky you. Maybe I'll do it someday.
It's so nice of Cruz to allow you to be his co-star on his channel. Seriously though, you're a real inspiration to those of us who want a simpler life. Your van could almost fit in my storage unit, for which I pay to keep, mostly a lot of junk. It's such a contrast. Anyway, thank you for your awesome channel. I'm so glad you've decided to share your new life with the rest of us.

Been intrigued by the lifestyle for over a decade, never gave it a try though. You were definitely an influencing factor in me finally going for it! Moved into my beat up old Astro van in June this year and loving it! Thanks bro. Cheers.

That is so cool
Maybe glue something like a section of bicycle inner tube to the inside of the fridge lid, so that when it's closed the rubber contacts the little cross beam between the freezer lid and fridge lid, acting like a gasket.
They sell gasket material same as whats on the fridge already that has two way tape on it.... can find on amazon
Like a piece of weather stripping.
Well, sense you said talking to us is sometimes like therapy ……….that will be $150 US Dollars!! I love when you tell us about your past life. Not only therapeutic for you, but for me as well.
I love you and Cruz. Take care and send us another video soon.
I take Blue Cross/Blue Shield with only a small deductible, lol.
What a awesome reply🙂

Congratulations
🤗🤗🤗❤️
Love this life style, does a big battery provide lights and other electric?
Yes less is definitely more. So humbling listening to your insight.
Talking to the camera to figure things out or vent is ok. If it feels wrong then talk to Cruzie he understands. I loved the scenery is so beautiful and the little town gave me reminders of when I lived in Texas. Thank you. You are fantastic and I love your videos.
Nice l
McBride was my mom last name & I have family over in 🇨🇦 not that far from on the East side.
I talk to my cats and when I had dogs, well I talked their little ears off! I felt better when they just gave me their look of love. That’s all I needed !
My Mama, once told me... It's ok to talk to yourself.. but when ya start answering yo self... we'll ya got a problem... LOL
@@paulao7022 When people mention my talking to myself I just tell them that I like intelligent conversation! 😄😄😄👍👍👍
Having freedoms such as this will allow you to forget your problems, long enough, to know the next direction. ❤️❤️❤️
Keep your head up 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Sending you positive vibes 💟☮️🕉

You are so right about paying attention to your "Spidey Senses" and not staying in a place if you are uneasy. Great advice.
Where are you staying mate ?? Sell a house man and buy a van. I'm telling you .
Please don’t wslk awSy from your famiky if u have one ! Life is frustrating u can do it all .
Lets hook up and be travel buddies! Im basically living with mom and I just turned 50! I got my pup & a suitcase! Lets share the cost and do a conversion!

People don't get it. Folks who "go van" do it for a reason. The van is your HOME! You haven't lost anything. You've gained the world as your backyard!
Some of us only wish we could make that move to get out there and travel.

Make a checklist of things to do and before moving bro. windows closed, stove safe, down from levelers, walk around, propane off etc. Essential for safe uninterrupted travel. I have used one for years, because you can't remember everything. Why take chances, Just sayin.
Great idea 👍

Keep the great content coming!
B.C. and Vancouver island are now added to my bucket list!
Remember " all that are wandering are Not lost"
I've been sharing your videos with my grandchildren, hoping they might consider the same carefree and simple life. Van Life gives you so much more freedom. Thank you for sharing your stories. Love, from California.
Yeah, brother, we're here for you. You're inspiration for a lot of us that on the path with you. It's a community, brother
OMG I love your dog!! He reminds me of the one I just lost October 2022. He was almost 11 years old. Best thing to have entered my life, ever! I hope you have many years of unconditional love with him.
I like listening to you Chrome. Keep talking. Keep traveling, being you, what you like & keeping it simple. I’m wishing you the best!
Looks like a great life ..Enjoy. !
I have a sister named Shirl.
A home is a place that you contribute to NOT just take from. Wandering from place to place you contribute nothing.
I love the story of the caring woman. Thank you for being patient and letting her see how you manage.
Hugs.
I love this life you've made for yourself and your dog! I wish I could do this...
You are never talking to yourself we all so enjoy listening to you and your life and life experiences. As always thank you for sharing.
Put a thin piece of rubber weatherstripping on the black plastic frame between the freezer and fridge lids to stop the bleed over.

Indeed!
People with same interests may be able to help one another,,,,mmm?

You're a mentor, our brother. Thanks for what you do so well.
I totally AGREE with YOU
You’re still young!
We’re here for you Chrome and Cruz. We love watching you, and listening to your every word. Sending a virtual hug to you both. 💛🇬🇧💛
I usually watch you on my iPad but today I watched on the big TV in the living room. My cat was mesmerized with Cruzie. 😂
Much respect brother, you're living the kind of life that I'd like to experience for a while myself !
Appreciate the rawness & authenticity in your sharing of your previous lifestyle. I'm currently being called to live a simple nomadic lifestyle and this has inspired me to make it happen sooner rather than later. Happy travels! 😊🙏❤

Thank you for helping fill my lonely days. We love you all. Glad you have your girl.
Your van is like a tardis-an open path to adventure. Thanks for sharing them and your insights.
Looks like a very happy life to me. Especially happy when you are with Your Dog! Enjoyable video. 😀😀😀
You are living the life most of us would love to live. I give you a big thumbs up. Thank You for the video. Give the dog a big hug for me.
He's adorable. x
I'd like to live a nomadic lifestyle but I'm a medical mess. Lots of health issues. Can't work full-time. I'm trying to work on improving my health but it's overwhelming. Thank you for adding some joy in my life. ❤
I love how you share your life with us and just talk about things that are going on with you. I just love your positivity and humbleness and just how the simplicity of this life just makes you happy.
Love listening to your thoughts and seeing your everyday living with your doggie:). Helps me to prepare to follow in the same Journey. Thank you!
this was the most chill vid I've seen of yours. Lovely insight into your cozy life.
My aunt Carol was born in McBride 68 yrs ago. It was a one strip friendly town back then. Life is what WE make of it. Otherwise we’re just existing. Cheers from Vancouver eh!
I just discovered your channel. I love your van. Brother, you are my hero! Your doing what I've always wanted to do. Stay safe bud.
You're living the life that I myself and I'm sure many others would love to be living. With your best a little pal there. Lucky you. Maybe I'll do it someday.
There is life experience, and there's living experience. There a huge difference 🖤
