Since a bunch of people are finding this and asking recently, this comic was made and then dubbed BEFORE Blizzard showed what he sounded like in the past so most assumed he would sound Mexican or Mexican-American.
If Blizzard ever makes a movie, they need to include a scene of Reaper saving McCree, even though it's been years after Overwatch shut down. Even if it was just an Animated Short, they need to highlight on their partnership, before and after leaving Overwatch.
It's weird seeing Reyes in situations like this. It's hard to imagine him as an actual human, and not the monster he became as reaper. but aside from that, I love this dub, and I love the entire "brothers in arms" concept that this portrayed.
I still come back to this video whenever I fixate on Overwatch. This is one of the first things that introduced me into the fandom and holy shit, I LOVE this video. S-tier *everything.*
This is a masterpiece and definitely deserves a loooot more appreciation! The acting is amazing and to transport that much feels in such a short animated comic is true perfection. Wow, this hit me right in the feels, made my eyes wet amd my heart ache :'(
Haha! I see what you mean. I'm not very good at doing an actual Mexican accent so this ended up like a weird vaguely Spanish Hanzo because I refuse to believe that Gabe talked like he does now before he became Reaper. Same thing with the young S76 skin and young Genji.
His voice is really hard. But even as Reaper he never really had that kind of accent. I always see a lot of more gravelly and deep voice and less accent. Since he was American born. I haven't done this really but I hope you like my creative criticism. :)
