I can see Gabriel staying with Talon just so he can find and get close to the people who were really responsible for the attack on Overwatch all those years ago. He wants to get close enough that they wont be able to dodge a point blank shotgun blast to the heart. But until then he'll keep playing the part he was given biding his time, meanwhile he has to make sure Morrison stays safe cause he doesn't want to loose him again.
