Chronologically Confused about Cartoon Network's Home Media Releases - Jamie Snowden

Cartoon Network has one of the biggest libraries of cartoons. As a result, you'd think their home media releases, such as VHS tapes and DVD's, would be meticulously made and in order... right? Not exactly. Jump in and join Jamie as I do a deep dive on why Cartoon Network's home media is a huge mess.

What gets me about Cartoon Network DVDs is how much shelf space you have to dedicate to housing them because outside of a handful of shows, they stubbornly stick to individual single DVD volumes. I mean, come on, if Ben 10 can get individual season releases for all 4 seasons, why does Ben 10 Alien force need 9 (count them, NINE) individual volumes for all 3 seasons?! It’s maddening

I don't even think CN themselves are in charge of the home releases.....
Warner is pretty messy on that front, which is weird as Nickelodeon is the most consistent (even if they have their own issues)

Suncoast - what an amazing memory that place was. I first discovered, and bought the DVDs of, Bobobo-Bobo-bobo with the lenticular covers. Same with the original Naruto season set DVDs!

One thing to say about the later seasons of Ed, Edd n Eddy the complete series, the generic bland menus were a style choice made by Warner Bros for their modern DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD releases. They use the exact same menu template and layout for their other modern releases like Blue beetle, the Barbie movie, and the Wonka movie.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the 3 specials on Ed edd and eddy not released in the (Complete Ed Edd and Eddy series) with big picture shows absent as well.

Something dumb about the Hamtaro vhs and dvds it had 6 dvds and taps but the first 2 have the first 6 episodes in order but wen the next one came out the next year they did 11 13 14 and the next has 10 25 and 27 the next 2 the next year Had 32 30 and 27 and the last one has 18 38 and 41 and that’s all we got it doesn’t make sense why did the first 2 go in order but not the rest it’s stupid and on the first 2 is a ad for the show and at the it shows the Cartoon Network logo but not on the box

Please do a video on talking about boomerang's new schedule and it is a good one tho it isn't perfect yeah the only schedules what are different are weekdays(also on Tuesdays or wesndays the Flintstones air for a full hour)Saturdays and sundays

I will agree the Cartoon Network video releases were hard to justify. They were awesome, fun, creative, and showed some lines from the tuner entertainment line. But when it came to properly releasing the series they did a poor job. Especially when they decided to use a boring button background fount. It just felt lazy an releasing anything from there network was a burden. But nick has almost no trouble releasing them simultaneously back to back.

i hate how cartoon network did there dvds they only released one season [at the time ]of dexter's lab and johnny bravo and just two seasons of ed,edd.n.eddy it was so stupid thankfully they have released some full series on dvds😄. plus i also hate the volumes thing they did for ben 10 alien force like wth😡
