I’m so glad I’ve come across your channel! I’ve recently learned that my entire maternal line comes from Mexico and my grandpa’s side goes back generations in Michoacán. My great grandparents came to the US in the 1920’s. Unfortunately, the need to assimilate led to a lot being lost and I think intentionally not passed along to me and my sister, so I have a life time of culture and history to catch up on.
