You did 3 episod about tuning your Rifle and no follow up ??? How was the result ? Better or not ? Whats the speed after ? Whats the dimension on the new spring vs old spring ? Want to now !
Thank you for the reply, I also use silicone grease on the piston seal wall just thought I would ask for your opinion which in fact is my opinion exactly Cheers
I have the same HW97 .22 and have just disassembled it to check for burrs, clean, lube it with air venturi moly grease. Hoping polishing helps smooth things out. Just bought a Hawke 4-12 X 40 to mount on top of her. 👍
I noted you use silicone on the piston-seal, but it's advised not to use silicone on metal example cylinder because it can cause rusting to the metal ect is that correct, why I ask, when fitting a new tuning kit to my mates rifle he used silocone like you, I always use Moly-grease just a lick around the seal. By the way Merry Christmas
I use a little cone on the piston seal because it is notI use a little cone on the piston seal because it is not a petroleum product, no dieseling or detonation, i do use moly only on metal to metal contact wich it is made for.. Absolutely no rust will be caused by silicon, It actually repels water and is used for electrical as well for corrosion protection...All my guns are still going strong and used faithfully...

Could you update us on how your HW97 is shooting? Before and after moly grease application?
