    Gabrielle Carteris now states that she wishes that they'd made Andrea an exchange student, similar to Brenda, to allow her to have more time off during her maternity leave. She asked the writers to write in her pregnancy, but feels as though Andrea was limited to baby and wedding storylines afterwards.

      I was just writing that this was such a cliche storyline for her. Married young, fighting with Jessie, a kid - totally true so limited. It could have been cool if they did an adoption storyline, the struggle, and then seeing a happy couple, the exchange idea was cool, shot at different angles, freshman 15 - stress eating.

      producers wanted her off the show at that point. she completely looked at of place hitting her 30s with the mom hair cut and was starting to resemble one of their parents. they wanted new young talent like brining in tiffani ambler thiessen who was an extremely smart decision to get.
      she was on a 5 year contract and she left when that was done.

      I don't know what she expected when she asked them to write IN her pregnancy in. This was a teen/young adult television show about cool Beverly Hills kids. Ain't nobody wanted to see a an unwed mother and then married storylines. You wanted to see that, you watched Thirtysomething.

    Love what Jesse told her - babies are never a mistake. If you cannot take that responsibility, don't be doing those things that lead to pregnancy - aka, sex. I love that she chose life. Only one option involves murder and should not be a choice. If a pregnant woman is murdered, it is a double homicide but we don't say the same thing about abortion - too weird.

    If Andrea didn't want to get pregnant for how she should've been on birth control and had Jesse wear a condom.
    And it's selfish to think that only women have a choice in this situation when it takes both a male and a female to get a woman pregnant when they have unprotected sex. This discussion back-and-forth with abortion is completely ridiculous because adults make decisions and they have to live with the consequences and if they're not ready to take care of a child, there's always adoption as an option. I was adopted and I'm glad my mother didn't get an abortion or I wouldn't be here. And I think it's unfair for anybody to think not a child's life doesn't matter when there is the innocent one in this whole situation. If a woman and or a man wants an abortion, that's a selfish disgusting and evil choice to make. It's not my body my choice, it's taking responsibility whether you want to have a child or not because there are options. Abortion should never be that option.

    • @dawggirl
      @dawggirl 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Adoption is not always an option. Forced birth should not be an option. I'm glad that you were adopted, but no one has any right to force someone to birth. The majority of people on these comments are straight up Gilead, I swear.

    • @melissabowers6268
      @melissabowers6268 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      @@dawggirl I am just happy for you that your mother thought about things differently. We all started this way and no one is an accident. "Forcing someone to birth" is better than infanticide. The lengths that the pro-choice crowd will go to in order to dehumanize an innocent creation to justify "getting rid of it". You know how I know - I used to be on your side. But people need compassion not judgment when they make these choices. Often, we are under the control of the media, our educational system, our parents and don't always know the truth. I don't blame the young women that seek abortions, I blame the abortionists that carry these actions out. Even Margaret Sanger was an avid eugenist. "We don't want it to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population." The idea that anyone can be for this without some conditioning is mad.

      A man does have a say so. It takes two, a male and a female to make a baby. And, if both don't use protection, and the female gets pregnant, then it's not just her body her choice, and it's the father's right to have a say so in this situation.
