  • Demo of the Tune-Bot Electronic Drum Tuner by Overtone Labs
Every guitar player has an electronic tuner for speed and accuracy in tuning. Tuning a drum is much more time consuming and difficult than a guitar. Yet, until now there was no such thing as a real "drum tuner".
After years of research and development, Overtone Labs has finally created a fast, accurate, and effective drum tuner. This new invention is about to change the way you tune your drums, and more importantly, change the way your drums sound.
    TUNE-BOT IS USEFUL FOR:
    •Lug pitch matching
    •Measuring and adjusting overall tone
    •Interval tuning of Toms
•Returning to your drums' optimal sound every time
    TUNE-BOT FEATURES:
    •Lug pitch measurement
    •Overall pitch measurement
    •Frequency and note modes
    •Overtone filters
    •Difference mode
    •80+ Save Slots
•Easy to read display with backlight
    •Drum hoop clip
•Drum tuning charts and pitch recommendations .

I wouldn’t have used my finger to dampen the head, you’d have a tendency to be inconsistent with how hard you’re pressing down which could make the pitches inconsistent.

I don't want to wiz in anyone's cornflakes, but other than a mild change in pitch, the drum sounds exactly the same. just listen close and A-B the hits from 25 seconds in, to around 3 minutes when he's done. He brought the pirch up slightly, but that DAWRRR! is still there. Here's the thing about drums and tuning, there are definitely "dos" and "don'ts", but how your drums sound, is almost like ordering your favorite milk shake. Drums with out some type of muffle, even subtle muffle, you don't have to go thru a roll of paper towels and a roll of duct tape, just a touch here an there works miracles! Other wise, you can be chasing those "dips" and "rings" all over. My two cents.

How do you factor in the bottom head?

I mean, this video really is about the Tune Bot and how it functions. Good thing the title of this video isn't "how to make your toms sound AMAZING" because that would be total bs. In the end, the tom does NOT sound much better than it did at first. Bottom head has a lot to do with keeping a drum in tune and I wish you took the time to show that step in this video.

I was trying to learn to use this and read your comment. I did an A to B and it sounds exactly the same haha I'm dead.

It honestly did sound better. It did not tone-dive and it had a cleaner tone and longer sustain

Would be a lot faster by using your God-given ears. My opinion that drum sounds with way too much over tone and res.. Obviously everyone has there own opinion and style of music so I respect his as well but as someone who's played with national touring bmads world wide, church, own personal hobby i think it's a waste and too extra when you can simply do the easier way then having to go through all the extras.

@@LowKey657 I sure have. It's not for me though. I can tune my way faster then this slow process. Your ears are a blessing USE THEM to your advantage and save your money
