The “raisin fly” trick actually happened in reverse many years ago. For the purpose of approximately dating this story, I’m 81. When my mother was a fairly young girl her mother was about ready to have another child, so Grandad was trying to run the household. He started cutting into a fresh loaf of bread and found a fly in it. Mum was all for taking it back to the baker, but Grandad didn’t like making a fuss so he just threw away the fly. Mum retrieved the loaf, stuffed in a fly from the fly paper hanging in the kitchen, and took the loaf to the baker to complain about the fly in the bread. The baker told her it was just a raisin. and popped into his mouth and ate it.

That mouse trick doesn't work very well anymore, simply because everyone uses wireless mice. They will think "Oh, the batteries are out" and flip it over to replace the batteries.......

In college our dorm cafeteria had a soft serve ice cream machine. As a freshman this was a treat. One day, shortly after the term started, a bunch of guys from my dorm wing went to dinner. When dinner was about to end one of the upperclassmen asked who wanted some ice cream. We all raised our hands. So this guy and another guy go to get our soft serve ice cream cones. When they came back we all started in on our cones. For some reason this one upperclassman kept glancing at me. I asked if there was something on my face to which he said no. Another guy started glancing at me as well. I thought nothing of it and kept licking my soft serve ice cream cone. As I got near the cone part I took a big bite and nearly barfed. One of the guys had filled the the entire cone bottom with Green Goddess salad dressing and then filled the rest with ice cream. I was totally unaware of anything until I had this horrible creamy mayo and vinegar taste in my mouth. They all laughed and said "Welcome to college".
I started the sneezing trend at our school before even hearing about Quirkology.

This should be titled 10 amazing ways to get punched. Lol. I've done the sneeze trick before. Another trick is to put an elastic or electrical tape around the sprayer nozzle next to your kitchen faucet so when the next person turns on the tap it sprays them.

For the last one, I usually don't fall for that trick on TH-cam because of the red bar at the bottom; if it's moving, I know the video is just a rendering clip.
Well, it should work if you put it on full screen and move the mouse away from the bottom (so the bar won't show up) and show it then. I want to try it sometimes lol

That prank with the thread, I heared about it before, one of the best Polish theatrical actors, Jan Kobuszewski was telling the story of one of his colleagues doing that trick on the stage, after another actor pulled on the thread he said quietly: "Stop doing that, or you'll unravel my underwear". The play was a failure due to the sudden outburst of laughter of everyone on the stage.
I did the mouse one to my grandma. She did not understand it at all and we told her to flip the mouse upside down to fix it. She turned the mouse around 180 degrees.
The ketchup one made me laugh out loud. Definitely giving that a go.

I once did something similar to the ketchup prank, but in an open space office for 50 people:
It was the last day before I would have changed to another department, and I put a big tray full with some typical German jelly doughnuts somewhere near the entry (look for "Berliner Pfannkuchen") . Next to the tray, a nice plate with even more jelly doughnuts on it.
Very soon, the first people noticed those doughnuts and would go to grab some, of course from those from the extra plate first.
With their doughnuts in hand they passed by my desk and thanked me, then they proceeded to their desks and started eating.
And a seconds later, a loud scream echoed through the entire office: "Did you put mustard in these???"
Well, yes, I did. Only in those doughnuts on the extra plate thought.
And, well, I did put mustard in them - but I did not remove the jelly that was in them before.
