- We hit the vintage and antique lover's jackpot on this particular day! Join my mom and me as we explore an historic barn full of beautifully displayed vintage and antiques! If that weren't enough, we stumbled on a wonderful yard sale with more lovely old home decor items. Next, we discovered a quaint antique store with an amazing selection of primitives, vintage toys, textiles and ironstone! Whew, but that's not all! We also chased down an estate sale sign and had a blast filling our $5 grab bags with more goodies!

My grandmother had a little wood cabinet like yours. She had it on a small table and had her grandmother clock on it. She called it her treasure cabinet. We were not allowed to get in it.

My mom had two of those red and white gingham canisters-one held sugar and one held flour. They sat on her kitchen counter. I have both of them and use the sugar one in my pantry. I love your idea of Christmas and will dig out the other one for a little tree. I lost her two years ago and I love that your mom goes out with you thrifting! Treasure these days together!

No worries! In person it seems like I am going slow, but the footage is always faster. I’m sure it’s my phone,.. one day I will get a proper camera 😅

At 3:30 this is a old scythe with an occasional addition of a cradle aligns the seed heads and makes picking up and winnowing easier.

I don't remember if you will remember the plate in the Antique Market that had little bluebirds on it I had a few pieces like that but when I downsized I had to get rid of them but I kept the gravy boat because it was my favorite . I put it in my bathroom would you believe on a white shelf surrounded by a variety of little ceramic Birds. Birds are my favorite thing
I saw a shelving unit that had music sheets onthe back it looked cool.

Loved everything you found! Old Crow is such a great store - lots of wonderful finds. I was surprised you didn't buy the plate with the blue birds. So pretty! But my favorite thing (that you passed on) was the tea leaf pattern ironstone tureen at 14:30. Just gorgeous!

Hi Lucinda! The blue bird plates were precious, but a little more cottage core feeling to me and I’m getting away from that aesthetic. I loved the tea leaf item, but it was almost $100! I’ll keep looking at the thrift store for another one 🤩

Yes, true. I'm impulsive sometimes and buy things like that and cottage core is definitely not my aesthetic, either! Then they just lurk in a box or I try to find a hidden spot! LOL I love some cottage core as eye candy (if not too overdone), but I LOVE the direction you're moving! Watching to see where you end up next.

Oh be still my beating heart you just picked up a milk jug that was part of my mother’s dinner service. Floods of memories of the best food I’ve ever eaten - thank-you. It was the little jug with apples and grapes on it.

Hi Elizabeth, it always makes me giggle when people collect fake food and plants. I’m very old so I’ve never used food for display but rather as a necessity and I live in a climate that is kind to plants year-round. Ahh the wonders of modern life.😂
