I’ve left estate sales before due to smoking smells, moldy smells, urine smells etc. so I completely understand. I recommend when you are talking to each other (I can tell you are hesitant to complete your sentences) you are afraid those around you can hear. And since you are a couple, you are probably good as finishing each other’s sentences. Don’t worry about that…just talk to each other normally, but remember we can’t read your minds. As long as you are not talking disrespectful, it’s all good. Thanks for taking me shopping.
Thank you Ruth for the helpful watcher insight ! This is SUCH a learning curve and I so grateful that you took your time to give such helpful feedback . XO Tara
Yeah , it is really hard to find the good stuff anymore , I used to collect antique oil paintings , reverse painted lamps , art glass like Loetz , Stuben , Galle etc . Carved furniture , Shaker furniture , Roycroft , Stickley , French and Belgium tapestry and Art Nouveau , , but like I said collector , not to buy to resell . I've been lucky over the years to be able to find nice items unlike today which is mostly junk .
🤣🤣🤣 How ignorant. Do you live in America? It's called CAPITALISM. FYI, every product you you have ever purchased was the result of someone else either making it themselves or having a third party make it for them in order they can resell it to you. Any of these yard sale sellers could list their stuff on a reselling platform, but for whatever reasons, they choose not to. Many times people will admit they are selling an item cheap, but they just want the stuff gone ASAP. So, grow a few brain cells and stop being a hater.
Start to read comments. Dangg the Karens are hitting hard. And even one person commenting with the name Karen. 😂😂 im guessing the negative comments... are people that want their own TH-cam channels but are too lazy to even start a channel. 😬😬😬
We are totally learning this whole process from sourcing , starting a business, eBay, filming , working together as a couple and editing. Thank god we have a few very experienced TH-cam friends who have granted us the early validation that the Karens are RUTHLESS on their couch keyboards and you have to ignore and keep learning, because they aren't doing what you are doing. So blinders up and keep rolling through until we learn how to make a half decent video. Thank you Michael for your Comment, You Sir on the other hand are a total Gem ! For that, I salute you !
I’m always curious about people who say “upstate New York” but are referring to the bottom border of NYS. I grew up in actual upstate New York closer to Canada than Albany or Binghamton and it confuses and cracks me up when I hear someone say they’re going to upstate NY but an hour north of NYC or something 😅
To New York City upstate means anything where there's trees, they don't even know us who live up by the lake and the Adirondacks north of Albany even exist and it shows big time when it comes to state aid it's all about the big city
Here in Illinois, everywhere other than Chicago is “downstate” or “southern Illinois.” It takes at least ten hours to drive the length of Illinois, so that’s a lot of “south!”
I agree I live up by Rochester and I think anything referred to as upstate New York is pretty much north of the Thruway otherwise it's called The Southern Tier
The video has been one of the most boring videos I've ever seen on TH-cam, going absolutely nowhere with no Direction other than small talk between the two people involved
We have noticed a difference with individual estate sale companies and after talking to the people who work them, it depends on how eager the client is to move their things. But we totally agree that a lot of things are overpriced.
@@Turfandtaraonthehunt I support resellers like yourself, but I believe the market is so saturated with people on the hunt for good deals, those who have estate sales are doing a lot of research beforehand and pricing accordingly. They're jealous of flippers and want to be the ones making the big profits. Kind of like what happened with Goodwill. Finding a good flip at any of their stores has now become rare. They post all the good stuff themselves. Mom and Pop garage sales is likely the best way to find the big deals.
I collect too many things, so I enjoyed the insulators, McCoy, and Scout stuff. I wasn't sure what using the phone was for, but I'm a buyer and not a seller. Of course, I have too much stuff and should be a seller.
I'm going to guess that it was because the house wasn't level and felt unstable and that the smell was making her want to throw up. But that's just my guess. ETA I saw in another comment that she said they felt like they were going to fall through the floor.
First and last time viewing. This was so confusing, that I had to keep referring to the title to see what this was. It certainly didn't look like an estate sale!!
Hmmm 🤔?? 😔 (Does products of brother and sister lovins on a cold winter night scare you? If not the mountains of Pennsylvania are a great yard sale location 😂.)
I'm sorry to say, but it seems like you are a bit too fussy to actually get into bargain hunting. It smelled funny, the house was old, things weren't displayed attractively....go to a department store then!
And you left the last one…….buck up😊 saw a lot of things you past on. Hope your not trying to make a living on re selling . If you were just showing us around , thanks , slow the camera down.
Everyone has a preference on what they want to sell . However, that last house was a gold mine . I wish I was there ! Some places one may go looking for gold is not going to be in perfect shape. Yet, one has to beable to ignore and look at the big picture if you are going to be in this business. Next time take mask and gloves and hand sanitizer.
I agree, we are also trying to learn more. That's why we say if you see something we have missed, point it out so we can learn. We appreciate your tips and suggestions because we are new to the game and learning on the fly ! Thanks again ! Sorry this is Turf's other account I own this one account and me and my wife own turfandtara ! Have a good day !
I was so frustrated watching you guys, inside that estate store you walked past some treasures and seemed more interested in I'm not sure what. Had to stop watching.
I tried to watch some yard sale videos yesterday and was totally bored. Pick up the pace a little and interact with your viewers or this channel is going nowhere.
Wasn't going to comment but...if it was a bummer for you, why would you deem it TH-cam worthy? Not to mention terribly rude to the homeowner. Filming the interior of someone's private property and posting it online without their consent? Quite possibly illegal at that. Poor form all around.

I would enjoy if they used some kind of code words or something. Just for s&gs.
You missed the Corning Blue Cornflower coffee pot on the stove of the last place you went.

People that buy stuff just to resell at a huge profit make me sick.
Why ??🤔
@@JoseMontemayor-p5j Because I hate dirty scavengers.
People that watch videos they know they won't like just so they can make a nasty comment make me sick.
You make no sense. Everything sold whether new or used is typically for a profit.

Our estate sells are usually way over priced. I’ve been to very few with reasonable prices & I’m not even a reseller.

5 dollars for the glove they make great chew toys for dogs
Checking prices in public is amateur hour. If you don’t know it leave it for those who do.
Glad you touch everything for no reason...annoying.
I didn’t mind the pace of the video & seeing everything for sale but the sniffing of the cameraman . . . not so much

Maybe it smelled bad because someone died in there. That's what an estate sale means.
It smelled and we felt like we were going to fall through the floor. Truly. Hence the extremely quick exit.
