A friends wife was prescribed capsules (I believe for depression) and when I visited they offered me some. I only had it for maybe a week but it really did even out my mood, and decrease the need for klonopin. I'd like to try it in a clinical setting. Thanks for the video, it served as a reminder!
I am currently doing ketamine infusions right now. I go in for my 4th infusion of 6 tomorrow. I deal with PTSD, depression & anxiety. I've been on too many medications to count over 7 years. After my second infusion I have felt a noticable difference. It's currently in the process of saving my life.
@@scoe3000 Is there a certain amount of failed prescriptions one has to try before ketamine is even suggested / considered by medical professionals? Just seems like another beneficial substance suppressed by pharma
@@RoyalPsilocybin - If I remember right, the number of failed medications attempted has to be over 3. That's 3 full trials, meaning you tried each for 6 - 8 weeks individually, with no improvements. This might not be the case still, but it is treated as a treatment resistant medication. I am unsure because I was so far beyond that threshold over 7 years it kind of was like, "Yeah let's start this" with the Doctor. I'm on my 5th infusion now, and I feel great. Ketamine has done more for me in 4 sessions, then any medication has over 7 years. It is absolutely being suppressed by Big Pharma. I can go into further detail on that, but I just want to alert people of Ketamine's effectiveness. If you are somebody out there thinking that nothing will help, and it will never get better. Please, keep advocating for yourself, and if you can't please let someone help you do it. There is help.
@@RoyalPsilocybin It also depends on your doctor's opinion. Unfortunately, not everyone is on board. I have taken over 20 antidepressants, but I can't afford Ketamine infusions. I am taking Ketamine lozenges, and it does give me moments of happy and a sort of wonderment although short lived. Still, I had the first 15 minutes of "happy" in over years. To note, I have PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder (with Serotonin Syndrome). Good luck! Hang in there.
I was suicidal with a plan and ketamine stopped that in it's tracks. After the 3rd infusion I was getting in tickle fights with my husband. I can't believe how fast I've been getting better and happy and thinking about goals.
@@prettylagoon insurance does not cover infusions and the nasal spray has not been shown to be any more effective than placebos in the clinical trials.
I remember few years back after my wife died, I was left alone with 3 kids. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with bipolar. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 4years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.
I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.
Psilocybin containing mushrooms saved my life. The drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had became medically dangerous to quit. It has also helped me survive depression.
Psychedelics definitely have potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it's just so hard to source out here

Depression hit hard on 2008 out of nowhere and its been up and down since, all down for the last 3 years. I've done prozac twice, which helped a little, welbutrin which I don't know if i helped or not and a 3rd drug that was giving me involuntary movements and I was pretty sure i was gonna lose my mind on it. In the years from then to now I've been in very bad shape to extremely great shape, not much of a difference but I was less often depressed when I was in shape. I have given up hope and tried to imagine the horror of living the rest of my life not caring about myself or anything, pushing the few remaining people out of my life and being alone forever. Just started ketamine, a few days from my second dose (dissolve under tongue) and feeling better every day, yesterday I had the best day in years. It works, lets get this out there and help as many people as possible.
I'm happy for you. I had a gram of ketamine powder, and 2 weeks ago in the weekend I tripped and had an emotional breakdown during that trip that made me cry very intense for only a minute or so. The next day, I felt reborn. I have been very different since, although I have had lows again since a few days. It's amazing what this stuff can do and I'm planning on ordering more and doing this regularly.
@@stadtjer689 I've had it 3 times now..every 8 days is about right. I got pills that dissolve under my tongue, no breakdown or tears. It's a game changer
I have gastroparesis with idiopathic nausea. Without going into too much detail I have received every treatment available for nausea. Homeopathic remedies, medical interventions, bio-feed back, shamans with burning sage, my stomach was entirely removed, acupuncture ect..... I received a 50mg IV push of Ketamine at the ER and within seconds my nausea was abated and the relief lasted for days. Tomorrow I start infusion therapy for nausea. Just when I had lost hope
You're very lucky to have the funds to do the infusions. The lozenges are not the same at all - and have some little for 32 years of Major Depressive Disorder and C-PTSD. I'm so happy you have found relief! Keep it up!
I used ketamine once recreationally (honestly thought it was coke- not proud of it). I never would have tried it knowing that's what it was. To my surprise, I immediately recognized it as a substance with therapeutic effects. I had an OBE and didn't have the urge to take more, use it the next day, etc. I felt it shouldn't be abused as a party drug. It almost felt sacred and I knew if I ever did it again, it would be in moderation and in the safest manner possible. Pretty interesting stuff
My teen daughter needs this so bad. The cost here in Houston is the only hurdle. Insurance won’t pay for it and traditional meds haven’t helped her. I’m desperately trying to save for this. Hopefully I’ll meet my goal soon. So hard to see this constant rain cloud over my beautiful baby’s head.
IDK how you feel about this route, but if you know anyone who grows mushrooms, you could ask them if they know where to get K. you can dilute it into a saline solution, buy a nasal spray bottle/ snogo or ez-bumps device online + make your own nasal spray for her. then you could find an open/ willing therapist who can help guide you guys through aftercare procedures/ setting/ etc. or you could learn to grow mushrooms for her + research how to microdose them. that would honestly be easier + safer. I'd been depressed af my entire life, used to tell my mom as a child i was sad i was born bc living was just so hard. i ended up addicted to booze, cocaine, meth + opiates (pills then heroin then fentanyl) by age 16 bc they helped me escape my brain. when i had finally kicked the bad habits, the crippling depression came right back. i opted to learn to grow my own mushrooms + did DIY ketamine bc therapeutic wasn't available back then... the ketamine + microdosing literally saved my life. i am 1000% a different person who now brings actual joy to others + i want to live every day. wishing you the very best for your daughter, just be there for her + make sure nothing traumatic triggered her sadness. get her professional help in the meantime, not just meds (i dont advocate for psych meds unless as a last resort tbh) but therapy, exercise, sunshine, vitamins/ probiotics, diet change (look into how to heal the gut- gut health is connected to brain health, i had an unknown gluten allergy/ celiac disease damaging my insides which prob contributed to my terrible mental health). i kept my trauma inside + it led to self harm, then an eating disorder, then drug/ alcohol addiction to cope. depression is like an addiction too, you want to stop but you feel powerless to stop it while it keeps sucking your soul out, it's so insidious. sending you lots of well wishes, she's so lucky to have you in her corner!
Hi! Have you heard of a company called Joyous? Look into it.. they mail you the ketamine that you take daily, (low-dose) it’s $129/month but it’s less than infusions which are in the $400’s. I have recently started the program and it’s really helping my depression/anxiety. I’m 35 and have been dealing with this since I was 12!
This is absolutely awesome! I have following the The research on ketamine infusions for depression anxiety. I believe I would benefit from this and I think I am going to talk with my doctor about this. She doesn’t do it but I am lucky to have a really good psychiatric doctor. I pray that it congratulations to help you.
I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and my experience with Ketamine was positive. I stopped having suicidal thoughts for one month after six sessions. But after four weeks without Ketamine my symptoms started creeping back. I had another treatment and this worked. It is terrible that Medicare won't cover this treatment. There is no other medication that works for me. I am on four Psyche meds and they don't work.
Buprenorphine works for my depression and anxiety. It's the only thing I've found that does work. But doctors in the US are only allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment, while other parts of the world aren't so anal, and are testing its uses for depression and anxiety.
Glad it's working for you. It looks like there are clinical trials being done (clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02181231), so hopefully FDA approval for it is in the pipeline--though it's certainly frustrating how long it takes.
@@freethink Yeah, I had read into something about that. Hopefully they can, because my doctor has kept me on it as long as he can, but I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to taper off soon. I'm going to lose my job and very likely end up homeless. I just can't function day-to-day without this. I mean, it's literally made me a new person. I lived my life before unable to go to school or work, in a constant state of fear and anxiety, feeling hopeless, until I started taking opiates. They gave me some temporary relief from the depression and anxiety, until I became addicted to the point of it going the other direction completely, ruining my life even more than it already was. That got me on buprenorphine/naloxone, and I can honestly say, I never knew what it felt like to feel "normal". Now I can work, have a normal life, even carry on conversations with people with confidence. It's a shame I'll have to go back to the way that I was..
@@AlphaMachina Why does your doctor need to taper you off? Regulations, or is it meant to be temporary? Maybe try to trust that your brain can rewire itself ' and the personal work you've done to deal with anxiety and depression may not go away with the drug. I hope that's the case. Wishing you the best.
Isn't your doc planning a replacement for possible withdrawal? You left the opioids behind, which is amazing. They are out of your system and you can start with a fresh mind and receptors which aren't polluted with opioids. Standard practice for Buprenorphine/Naltrexone withdrawal is to administer the addition of, " an alpha-2 agonist (like clonidine and lofexidine which requires less concern for hypotensive effects.), and comfort medications such as benzodiazepines, antiemetics, and muscle relaxers."
@@genghis_connie It's bad practice to take downers like benzo's in conjunction with Buprenorphine, mainly because of the negative effects it could have on, you know, breathing. But I don't think you understood my post, and that seems to be about the going rate for most people and their understanding of Buprenorphine. I'm no longer taking it for addiction, but for depression, so I'm not trying to get off of it. As much of a taboo as it seems to carry, it is literally the only treatment I've found that has legitimately cured my depression. Before opiates, I couldn't function. I couldn't make eye contact with people. I couldn't hold conversations or be in public for long periods. This went on for a third of my entire life, until I started taking opiates. They afforded me the ability to make friends, have a beautiful girlfriend for what would end up being the best 6 years of my entire life, test out of high school within two months, go to tech school and graduate with honors in computer networking, and get a job paying $85K a year. I was already intelligent, but I couldn't function or put it to use. Opiates turned my brain on, in some kind of way that allowed me to function at much higher levels than I ever could have previously. At least, until they stopped working and I turned into a major junkie, spending most of that money on drugs. I lost my girlfriend and my decent friends, and everything else as well. But then I found Suboxone treatment. Buprenorphine doesn't stop working like opioid pain medications do. I've been on it for 5 years now, am taking a low dose each day, and I don't have to worry about it ceasing to work for me. I have no negative side effects. I finally feel normal every day, and can carry on with a normal life, without having to chase drugs around, and lose everyone and everything I care about. And that's all I care about. Because the alternative is either: A. I end up back to being a catatonic, or B. I end up back to being an addict. And I'd rather avoid those two options if I can.
Depression is not just about brain chemistry it’s about your life. If you have needs not being met in your life combined with a lot of isolation and trauma in your life you’re far more likely to have depression. The reason people don’t get a cure for depression is because depression is not an individual maladjustment it’s a social disease. It’s a problem that occurs because people are deeply alienated traumatized and lonely and we live in a hyper individualistic society that doesn’t care for people or have avenues to help people when they fall down. All ketamine can do is give you a window of time. During that window if conditions are good in your life and your environment improves you’ll be able to build a better life and make your way out of depression. Eat well. Have a good social circle try your best to build one. Get a career ideally one where you care about it , it pays, and you can advance in it. These are the things that cure depression. Ketamine deals with the symptoms of a dysfunctional society manifest in your brain chemistry. It’s not you. It’s Captialism.
As a patient, I can't fix society over-night by myself, so a helpful tool/treatment (when other treatments haven't worked) is better than completely giving up, and taking my own life. But, I agree, our modern society plays a huge role, but I'm currently stuck in this broken modern society.
I don't agree fully with the chemical imbalance theory either. I agree with our modern life and corrupt society being the main issue for most people. It's the slow burn, and traumas are the quick hit that scar.
You don’t get to use the spray ketamine at home! It’s monitored and administered in a clinic where you have to remain for upwards of an hour to ensure that you don’t have a bad reaction. Hopefully one day they’ll work out the bugs involved in using something like this at home as needed.
I believe ketamine spray can be taken at home in certain countries and/or US States. It's only the first time u need to stay in hospital for monitoring. I've even found a "market" where u can buy these sprays...
I did two in office private sessions of 3 hour to start off. My treatment will be changed to home treatment. I do not need to go to the clinic to take it.
This therapy is my last hope. I have been so depressed since age 14. I get hysterical and torture myself with horrifying thoughts. I cannot leave the house many days.

My psych doc recommended the nasal spray but I really don't think Medicaid covers it. And the fact you have to take it in office is a deal-breaker because I live out of town & require a ride home. But maybe one day... I've failed 23 psych meds at last count.
There might be a workaround if you can get your primary care provider to send over referral to the certified center. You'll have to find a clinic & tell them your specific medicaid funded insurance (i.e. United Heathcare Community Plan, Blue Cross Complete, Molina, etc.)
I bought some because I've suffered from depression for over 30yrs & medicated for 20 with no real relief. I've been too scared to try it because I already have anxiety & am worried it might give me a total panic attack & that's not good while on drugs. I have to quit drinking soon for at least a month & I think I'll try the ketamine then, I can't really get any more depressed & I'm willing to give this a shot
I can't find a source anywhere for any good psychedelics in my area, I suffer some pretty bad depression and i got a chance to try K and man it was a miracle substance, I felt free, the only high or euphoria was from the relief of my vices being released, that's exactly what it did
Mushroom completely turned my life around and my anxiety and panic attack disappeared and my personality changed into a much more generous loving person
I wouldn't say ketamine has "knocked out" my depression, but it has "knocked it down." Also, I've stopped drinking alcohol and smoking. Didn't have to even try, just didn't want them after the first treatment. I'm not sure about the long term effects, but I'm hopeful.
My first impression was a very strong one,’ repeated the prince. ‘When they took me away from Russia, I remember I passed through many German towns and looked out of the windows, but did not trouble so much as to ask questions about them. This was after a long series of fits. I always used to fall into a sort of torpid condition after such a series, and lost my memory almost entirely; and though I was not altogether without reason at such times, yet I had no logical power of thought. This would continue for three or four days, and then I would recover myself again. I remember my melancholy was intolerable; I felt inclined to cry; I sat and wondered and wondered uncomfortably; the consciousness that everything was strange weighed terribly upon me; I could understand that it was all foreign and strange. I recollect I awoke from this state for the first time at Basle, one evening; the bray of a ketamine aroused me, a ketamine in the town market. I saw the ketamine and was extremely pleased with it, and from that moment my head seemed to clear.’ ‘A ketamine? How strange! Yet it is not strange. Anyone of us might fall in love with a ketamine! It happened in mythological times,’ said Madame Epanchin, looking wrathfully at her daughters, who had begun to laugh. ‘Go on, prince.’ ‘Since that evening I have been specially fond of ketamine. I began to ask questions about them, for I had never seen one before; and I at once came to the conclusion that this must be one of the most useful of animals-strong, willing, patient, cheap; and, thanks to this ketamine, I began to like the whole country I was travelling through; and my melancholy passed away.’
Getting a ketamine infusion. The doctors would usually monitor you for a few hours after the dose. Most doctors would probs recommend you keep talking to your doctor. And talk about what's changing and how your reacting to the substance. But in my opinion I believe ketamine is a game changer for people with depression. But it is a very new medication do be careful
The good ones actually offer therapy while you’re getting the infusion. But the money grabbers just stick u with a needle and leave. I can’t wait until it’s more main stream because insurance will pay for it and those charlatans will fade away just as quickly as they popped up. They don’t care whether we live or die. They’re making literally 500x6=3k per day per bed, so If you got three rooms that’s 9k/day. Five days a week equals 45k/week. 50 weeks a year = $2,250,000 per yr. After you pay overhead and expenses you net 1.5 million. That’s more than most doctors, specialists, and even surgeons. And even attorneys. And you don’t even need to be a doctor to run one. You just have to be a nurse anesthetist or an anesthesiologist.
Psychedelic’s definitely have potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it’s just so hard to source here
Psychedelics are the reason why i didn’t take my life when i was at my end. I was stripped of my ego and saw the beauty of life and interconnectivity and even though i still battle anxiety and depression, I’m doing better everyday and will never think in such a self destructive way again.
LSD and mushrooms, ketamine completely changed my whole outlook on life. I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip: Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. I have had quite a few Ketamine treatments for pain, depression and anxiety along with most importantly the untreatable barometric migraines that leave me lifeless. I also have several orthopedic neurological injuries that can't be fixed. Anyway I basically live in pain 24/7 and then very bad pain when the migraine weather sets in and sets off everything. My very 1st treatment relieved the pain, relaxed me and gave me a good couple of weeks to a month of good energy. I used that good energy to get things done that I had fallen behind on. I would suggest everyone have one treatment for enlightenment and I only wish I could afford to take the treatments as often as the doctor suggested instead of when I was at the end of my rope because my insurance doesn't cover it.
I had the Ketamine Infusions. Sadly for me it didn’t help at all and only ended up increasing my anxiety bringing on more panic attacks. I was a good candidate. No idea why it didn’t work it’s magic for me. Every single treatment was a nightmare. Every treatment put me on this trip from hell. I was in a realm that was absolutely horrifying. Looking back I should have cancelled treatment after my first one. I had to practically be carried out of the room to the car, in bed for the day. Listen to your inner voice. If you feel it’s not for you, stop the treatment. You also have to get booster treatments. It’s quite costly, something I’m trying to get over. Hoping it works better for you than it did for me. Depression has got to be the worse illness out there. Especially when you’re out of options.

After my last infusion (12/15/21) I was shocked. I’ve been battling suicidal ideation, anxiety, agoraphobia for decades. There are small periods where I manage to tough it out, but then I crashed. I recently had a heart issue and in the ER, I mentioned I use ketamine, and the cardiologist was like “well yeah ketamine is fine, I’m concerned about the medical marijuana. You know what’s in pharmaceutical grade ketamine. You don’t know what’s in those pot products.” 🤷🏻♂️ So if you’re like me and been prescribed every goddamned pill and tried every mindfulness techniques etc, what do you have to lose. Just …. I started with infusions, but the effects weren’t consistent, I went to a psychiatrist and found a treatment (oral, but still psychedelic) that works.
Probably, but you'd have to weight if the side effects are worth it. Depending on the dose the side effects can hinder some day to day tasks such as operating a vehicle, or higher order analytical tasks. One of the reasons the drug was discontinued as an anesthetic was because it can cause an amnesiac effect where you lose blocks of time around dosification. It can also have a strong sedative effect. It is probably best left to those who are not responding to the basic treatment algorithm. There are milder treatments for anxiety attacks that will have less adverse effects and less impact in your cognitive function. They are, more often then not, successful at treating your condition. That may be important to you if you are working/studying, if you are a parent, etc.
It seems that small studies have found it effective for anxiety, and it appears to be available for that at clinics, though of course you should consult a doctor first as it may or may not be effective for your case www.psychcongress.com/article/ketamine-effective-maintenance-treatment-anxiety
Less is more. It's quite an expensive option to treat something for which it isn't intended. Also mentioned is the fact that it's at least a 2 hour down time for treatment, and it wouldn't likely help in anxiety attacks - whereas drugs like alprazolam, diazepam, clonidine and klonopin usually work within 15 minutes. They have been tye go-to for anxiety attacks and panic attacks for ages for a good reason. This may sound silly, but search TH-cam for "yogic breathing." If you haven't tried it already, there are a fee techniques which can be life-savers, and work immediately. Try "throat breathing" and"alternate nostril breathing." Not as goofy as it might sound. Good luck- and hang in there!
I like how we have bottle shops and tobacco shops on every corner across most of the planet, and I'm sure my own depression is related to the alcoholism and violence that dominated by childhood development, but things like Ketamine have been withheld from people suffering depression for decades with no rational reason in this greater context. Our civilisation may make theorerical sense as a complete complex system evolving over time, but from a human perspective it's f--king moronic
It helped but not quite enough. I’m trying to get the daily med because infusions are so pricey. I would like to go back and have more infusions if I could afford it. I believe this is the next wave in psych treatment (not limited to ketamine).
I once experienced a sense of doom to the point of panic attack. I found the book WARNING by Ellen Sugarman where I learned that this was being caused by sleeping 200 ft from a high voltage power transmission line. When I moved away that stopped.

@@davidseriff711 Correct. They may cover Esketamine, but it isn't the same as Ketamine and hasn't gotten results as positive as infusions, but it's worth a try. I don't know how much actual Ketamine is in it. I get Ketamine lozenges legally by my psychiatrist through a local compounding pharmacy for about $100+ per month out-of-pocket, and it's far less effective than infusions. Still kind of heloful. The VA is just about 10 years behind on meds and therapy in some ways. Great for checkups, not great for modern medicine (in my experience). To note, every dic is different. I saw 3 psychiatrists who wouldn't take me on unless I took an antidepressant. I have taken 24. I have chronic, documented Serotonin Syndrome. One insisted on taking me off Alprazolam and another drug to treat my PTSD. There's a massive Gid complex with so many psychiatrists. It's a shame.
I can answer the question about how ketamine works: NOBODY knows! We researcher's don't even know how conventional antidepressants work. For most drugs it is enough to know it works and if it is safe to use.

Ketamine has the potential to be one of the greatest medicines mankind has seen, but we should indeed watch out for it's abuse as it has very very serious consequences...
Ketamine in certain medicinal contexts might help tremendously (and generally you’d be shocked at how many high-end professionals, lawyers inc., do it) but as a recreational drug one does have to be careful (and not mix it with alcohol for at least a couple of hours). Weed and mushrooms have no real fatal toxicity but ketamine absolutely has to be used correctly.

@Walter Stengelmann yup that'll go away fast. K only lasts an hour. Unless you micro dose throughout the day, smelly tiny portions will gently work your neuro receptors instead of full blown all in one. Just like magic shrooms and acid, micro dose can cure chronic untreatable depression
@@SAMEntalhealth hell yeah but where can you get it prescribed and HOW? Docs will think im using it to get high, I mean yeah I did before but I never really listened to micro dosing, and I got PTSD, hella anxiety and hella hella depression, and Schizophrenia but if I was prescribed this beaut I would most definitely not abuse it. I want my depression gone man. I have a daughter and I always think about trying a suicide attempt again or drinking bleach...
What if your are sensitive to Glutamate in food and what if you have intolerances or more sideeffects then positive effects to antidepressants also tianeptin which is also working on glutamate and nmda receptors, when they all make you more nervous then you are already are and worsen insomnia. Is then ketamin therapy a bad idea?
I use ketamine to stop my constant Migraines ... i have multiple attacks per week if i stop, and using Imitrex (the triptamine shots) are a lot more expensive than buying ketamine and using such small doses that you're not even feeling anything from it (after a few days at least). I actually discovered this 'benefit' by accident... As i was using ketamine to get myself out of isolation caused by severe depression. Sadly in my country there's no legal way to get ketamine sprays, it's only available on the illicit market (which took me very long to find ketamine that was not laced with any other drug like amfetamines) or if you get brainsurgery in a hospital OR buying it from a veterenarian (selling it overpriced under the counter, but that ketamine also contains contaminants (meds used in animals))
I relate to this so much 43 years old vast drug experience. You can call me a functioning addict whatever I am very much not unsuccessful anyways here I go finally got a hold of some not looking for a cure but if anything can help me get out of the gray I would appreciate it, anybody wants to know I can tell you tomorrow how it went
Hey I had similar issues I was really depressed and aslo had panic attack thank Goodness my friend refer me to a mate in California who recommended some Xanax bars and microdosing I’m good now
AT HOME SELF ADMINISTRATION???? Everything I have read says FDA approval also required patient to wait TWO HOURS after use at the DOCs office before they could leave. Ketamine infusions helped me a lot but I had to quit due to cost involved. I got excited to hear about approval of the nasal spray assuming finally insurance would pay for it but then heard the down side of it being two fold, you have to wait two hours at the docs office and also it’s only about half as effective versus the standard ketamine infusions….
So the miracle drug can also kill you eventually when you become “immune” to the effects?.. just like opioids.. no thanks. I feel bad for Matthew Perry’s family and friends. And also him, who was probably mislead and believed more was the answer and became addicted which obviously caused him his life
Have you tried using Ketamine for depression? What was it like?

Yikes.. I don’t think Matthew Perry would agree
Yep
It’s awesome stuff.

Because the alternative is either:
A. I end up back to being a catatonic, or
Well you nailed that one. Good stuff.

I began to ask questions about them, for I had never seen one before; and I at once came to the conclusion that this must be one of the most useful of animals-strong, willing, patient, cheap; and, thanks to this ketamine, I began to like the whole country I was travelling through; and my melancholy passed away.’
its really made my life quite enjoyable again
What can be done to make the therapy more affective? For example, would some kind of talk therapy 24 hours later be more helpful?
Maybe emdr would help too
Getting a ketamine infusion.

Ketamine has been in use for almost a 100 years...
I became a better version of myself
This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before."

About 10 years ago I read that doctors in Denmark treated 13 alcoholics with several doses of lsd in a week, 11 of them quit drinking immediately!

Anyways. The ketamine treatment not only improved, but eliminated my suicidal ideation, which I thought was just part of my personality. Anyways, just this week I’ve been feeling my anxiety ramp up…. How long does it usually last? I was hoping for 4-6 months. Maybe that was optimistic?
How are you doing now?
@@interdimensionaldrift great. It was overly optimistic to expect the effects to last that long, it’s more like 1-3 months depending on the person. Cut my previous meds by 3/4’s and gave up two of four entirely.

It’s very, very safe. I recently had a heart issue and in the ER, I mentioned I use ketamine, and the cardiologist was like “well yeah ketamine is fine, I’m concerned about the medical marijuana. You know what’s in pharmaceutical grade ketamine. You don’t know what’s in those pot products.” 🤷🏻♂️
So if you’re like me and been prescribed every goddamned pill and tried every mindfulness techniques etc, what do you have to lose. Just …. I started with infusions, but the effects weren’t consistent, I went to a psychiatrist and found a treatment (oral, but still psychedelic) that works.
I get bad anxiety attacks . Wonder if this would help
@@CptFugu Well said!
